  1. hello alphadelta, it was awsome to play with u tonight. you was an awsome good sl and i was biting me in my own ass cause i couldnt use my mic as im used to do it, cause my soundcard or my mic is broken dunno exactly wich. it was an amazing good experience to play with u from thailand and take from japan:) unfortunately u left when the server get filled with 10 ppl (max on my server as it would blow up beyond that). we had very good fights and lots of revivings. oh there is a good option to avoid that problem as blitzcraig did many times after u disconected. if u r killed and u dont expect anyone to revive u , just reconect as u would do when u want to choose another soldierclass, u spawn at the base and u can start from there. the only prob is that ur progress and kills are zeroed but in my opinion this doesnt matter much as we are all playing just to be brothers in arms not to have a evo style arcade feeling :) if u see that nobody is near to save u, just reconnect and choose same class or another and u spawn at base and than u can save ur comrades.:) thats why i aked u to reconect quick cause i couldnt do it as host, cause the mission would finish if i would try to disconect and reconect. however it was an amazing good lead and i apreciate much ur hard work to hold back this rambo dude to not kill himself every 30 seconds :) it was a pleasure to fight and die with u guys. cya next time. ps: very good screenshots even if i look a bit fat on one of them but its ok :)
  2. any chances to add villas weapon into ur mod snakeman? im a bit disapointed by the m14 as there are some very nice modeled m14 out there, best are from vilas weapon addon as i use them sometimes when i play vte in sp. has very nice iron sights while in vte they are in a too early stage as to enjoy playing them. give it a try pls:)
  3. i finished my mission longest day in vietnam 1.2. 3 maps are playable on wich the mission feels absolutely different on each of them. the maps are parrots beak singletrees, ashau , quahnbin singletrees. parrot beek is a flat ricepaddies map wich let u have intense firefights on plain view. ashau is a huge mountains map and u get the claustrophobic nam jungle feeling while moving to ur objectives. quahnbin is also a ricepaddies map but smaller than parrots beak therefore fast action and the objectives are close to each other, not too close though but close enough to move on foot if a heli is lost. they are in 2 versions as 10 players slots or as 20 player slots. i removed the gunship on the 10 player coop but will leave it on the 20 coop to give the teamleader more tactical freedom in large scale assaults. if u want to give them a try just tell me :)
  4. i have fixed now the mising seize zones on longest day in vietnam on ashau map. i have made 2 versions now with coop 20 players or 10 players. still have the issue with 20 players and 2 groupleaders that both can call the same chopper but the chopper will fly to the assigned groupleader. couldnt find any hint how i could make it that only the assigned groupleader can call his own heli for extraction. i tried lots of hide radio commands but nothing was really what i was searching for. i have to report a new bug , the flare gun disapears sometimes when starting a game. happened yesterday several times.
  5. @Snake Man yes i updated my mission to 1.2 beta and ported it to the beautyful ashau map and to quahnbin singletrees map both are MINDBLOWING, pure vietnam, 18 obj with moving convoy, moving sampan , sam sites in starshape guarded by mg bunkers, zsus objectives, i added "clear the area" objectives to all destroy missions and lots of enemys:) so it differs alot from the 1.1 version. when a pilot crashs with a chopper he respawns at base ,while when he get only shot in th chopper he falls down and must be revived. added second rescue heli. i will test ashau map today again, all welcome. i have played it yesterday with 3 ppl and it was awsome, no problems so far but had no time to end it so i have no idea if it ends correctly,need to be tested :). ashau is a really good looking map. btw i compressed the jimi hendrix song now,mapsize is 2,5mb:)

  7. @snakeman naaah im 1.14 and im a private host so its the name believe me.:) as i saw today u changed the server name and ur server is FULL and countless players are connecting without the vte mod but soon they will get the mod , thats for sure :). most players are at 1.14 , the 1.16 is mostly used by ace servers bcause the avgani and afghan village missions perform better there than with 1.14 @alphadelta hey alpha i was ur sl on that hill remember? -=TB=-HORROR ingame, this match was awsome and i think u took me while crouched in front of u :) i was carrying a stoner mg and i had a marines helmet and u were standing on my right at that hill. hope u will on tomorrow too, and im sure lots of ppl will get this mod soon :) cheers
  8. @snakeman hmm i see the shadows of the soldiers but the rifles cast a strange shadow to the ground, however i will let shadows on as they add very much atmosphere into the jungle. "Hmm can you identify this grass please?" high grass at poleikleng map u cant drive through it with a tank, no matter where , didnt try any other vehicles yet. when i used triggers i used under effects>anonymous>rradio1 to 4 the radio broadcasts. this was original radio broadcasts from vietnam radio hanoi and such. but when i remember right there was an addon wich modified the vte mod , perhaps they were into that addons? however i will implement it in my next mission in the mission file, it makes it more atmospheric with live nam radio:) i have updated this mission with LOTS of enemys and moving convoys and realistic sam sides in a 5 starshape and added an extraction script to make the sl able to call a medievac to his location and to get flown out into the base. i ported it to quahnbinson single trees too on wich we played yesterday untill 3 oclock german time. i will test it today, all welcome. perhaps we can add this mission after testing, into pmc and remove the other as it was just a first beta to test how it works. the new one is: longest day in vietnam revive + extraction 1.1beta my server name is: VIETNAM @Vte-mod all welcome yesterday nef and me were playing at pmc and than i asked nef if he would like to test my updated map on my server and believe it or not or ask nef ,i start hosting and within 5 minutes we had more than 20 connections of wich 7 guys played on my server and i stopped counting how many tried to connect after the first minutes. the point is that VIETNAM is a magnet for ppl and it will need some time until ppl are so curious that they will try out this VIETNAM thing but the more they try to connect and fail , the more they will get curious of what is that about. however i test the missions on my server so i can use my armaeffects mod but i would be glad to see all interested ppl on pmc tactical, but the name just dont stick out of the other masses of servers while my name does. i suggest again to rename the server to something like: VIETNAM @Pmc´s Tactical server. the point is, if pmc tactical is not the magnet itself u must change the name to something it is. perhaps pron server would be a magnet too, never tried it though :) ppl just see the first words in all the masses of servers and they often dont even look for a vietnam scenario but for a domination or evolution server , so out of curiosity they would just try to join another server if it is straight in their face :) cu in nam EDIT: uh i just noticed that the radio vietnam files are 200 mb and carry 3 hours live broadcast in nam but it would be too big to add in a mission ;) perhaps snakeman could add them in an updated vte - mod :)
  9. i made a first beta of a revive mission on the parrots beak single trees map. no respawns, only revive possible so ppl have to stick together as a squad like it was in real life in nam:). if all unconscious mission is over. you start at dawn in the dark and u have bad weather, visibility very limited by fog and rain. the mission is to clear the area from vietnamese sams and zsus and destroy the radar station and to liberate 3 vietnamese villages. choppers respawn after 2 minutes when destroyed, but you have to make ur way on foot back to a chopper or rejoin the server if u are too lazy :) perhaps i will try to implement a repair script in it, to make it possible for engis to repair the vehicles. if some1 could give me a hint for a good engi script it will be much apreciated:) i will name this mission : the longest day in vietnam 1.0 beta. @anzasas i saw your new missions and i like them, perhaps im allowed to implement the revive option in ur missions, so players can choose in the beginning if they want to play on their own with recruting ai or without recruting ai just with a few fellows in a tour of duty style mission without respawn?
  10. @snakeman hmm somehow the warfare mission doesnt work on pmt server when i try to start it, it says "no entry´bin/config.bin/cfg.vehicles.claymoresammobox´." so it seems to be broken,while hosting and starting on my system works fine. seems to need some rework i will try to find out wich addons cause that problem :) on topic: i have played vte final alpha now for more than 40hours and i would like to give some feedback about it and a few suggestions too. 1.) the glass in the planes and choppers seems to be white, i cannot see properly through the windshields of f4 and f5 i also have problems with the huey windshields. i dont know if this is a feature but i think a pilot should have the best posible visibility so i suggest to rework the windshields. 2.) the empty us jeeps dont seem to be drivable,the actiomenu dont show up 3.) in the huey gunship the feet of the passengers stick outside 4.)the shadows of the rifles are displaced. 5.)tanks cannot drive through high grass 6.)ai soldiers cannot go over the ricepaddys barriers i have a few suggestions regarding the server name and the lack of players. 1.i can only talk for myself and how i go for a arma match when i like to play arma. i allways filter out pwed server, bcause iam aware that i need a pw wich i dont have most of the time :) so its useless to see pwed server unless i get somehow the pw. in the pmt case its easy to get but i fear most of the ppl dont even bother to visit the site so they wouldnt even know, like i didnt knew , that the pw is on the site. this limits alot players. as i saw yesterday the pw was removed and i think this is a good way. 2.the pmt server is the vte-mod server but i think it should be CLEAR in the servername what kind of server it is. vte-mod is only known as vietnam mod by interested arma players, but alot players dont have a clue what vte means , there fore they try to connect and they get kicked because they have not the mod and they have no idea what is needed to play here AND they dont know that this is an vietnam war mod wich would makes them curious in some way to try to get the mod. most dont bother because arma is full of addon servers and many ppl dont bother to get every needed addon just to play a mission. so it should be clear in the server name for every interested in vietnam warfare that this server is dedicated to VIETNAM VTE-mod only. in the server description it should state clear WHERE to dl the mod and that ONLY this mod is needed to play so ppl dont get lazy as i do when i see i need 20 addons to play on a server :) i would type it with capitals so everyone can see it and try to get the mod. something like this : PMT´s VIETNAM Mod Dedicated Server @Vte-mod just a suggestion, bcause i know how hard it can be to have a mod loaded but i cant find a server with this mod and every other server kicks me bcause i have this mod loaded, so next time i dont even bother to load the mod :) 3.and please get back the radiostations in the sounds, i miss radio saigon alot cheers and see u in nam:)
  11. sent :) another excellent fully working mission on pmt server was a revive map with mission name : vte_public_event_final1.vte_poleikleng.pbo played yesterday with up to 7 ppl and later with another guy and it was AWSOME, i must say the revive option is WAY better than the stupid ace uncoscious feature. it was absolute intense and besides some minor things, like no vehicle respawn when something is destroyed, it was an amazing experience in the jungle as a team working together as it should be in vietnam, and not everyone is running wild alone on the map like so many countless missions out there:) so in my opinion this mod needs MORE REVIVE MISSIOOOOOOOOOONS :) cheers and cu on the rice paddys
  12. first i want to say ur mod is absolutely mind blowing, i was playing for hours and it never seemed to feel like a mod for arma but more like a game on its own:) yeah i was with u -=TB=-HORROR ingame , i found some missions ready to play on pmt with ur new release. one of the best was vte coop lost patrol and amazingly i found a fully working vte warfare mission on my hd Warfare_Vietnam_9uVTE_09beta.VTE_IaDrang it was modified but it works perfectly with the new release without any addons, just one thing was missing, the jeep. this might be a part of the addons but the mission runs perfectly on la drang and i played yesterday as host for 5 hours and NO PERFORMANCE issues whatsover. so ur mod is one of the best playble mods outthere with the best performance by far even on warfare as host:) excellent work ;) the only thing whats annoying is that the ai soldiers cannot move over the rice paddies barriers. it would be awsome if u could fix this as fast as possible, bcause vietnam was rice paddies fights AND jungle fights
