    Beta will be after E3 as per Livestream. Also forgot to mention how impressed i was at being able to be at such a semi-personal(somewhat) lvl with the devs was awsome an IMO makes BI 2nd none in community awareness..course most of us who been around since OFP/A1 already knew that.

    Awsome Live Stream, think it well considering the spam in chat intefering with logit questions for the devs. love the new heli an gotta get my hands on that new mg 8) Also the 3d scopes are they goin to be able to swap 3d scopes between various weapon class ie 3d scope to mg class/sniper class weapon? Also is it possible to replay the live stream as I had to leave mid way in.

    I would think, an hope that they would want to test Altis or at least part of it in beta for performance ai pathfing bugs etc etc. the whole Alpha approach to ArmA3 versus ArmA1(no alpha/beta an same with A2 IMO leads me to belive that there past experience releaseing untested content b4 release was not the correct approach hense the Alpha/beta we are seeing b4 release now.

    Arma Game Play Style Changing?

    It's still too soon. There was a working http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?148074-MP-COOP-GITS-EVOLUTION-main-thread but it's currently being re-written due to build issues. I was hosting it on mine as soon as it came available an it will definatly be 1-3 missions I host. Now if the game was at release an if all we saw was the ArmA2 (other) maps than I'd be worried. Just need to wait for more content/beta. Have u played the Invade Annex it's Domination inspired coop. I also noticed the gameplay changin on OA side too but was still playin vanillal Chenarus missios.

    AI Skill Setting

    So is this sorted can I edit the ArmA.cfg or whatever in the server files to tweak ai difficulty? Will/does this now work as I thought it was broken. At the present the ai are a bit to accurate. Hmm just looked at server files, what file on server manages the ai difficulty?

    Wow seriously did'nt realise BI paid Codemasters to merge content into ArmA3 from Dragon Rising.
  9. Huge improvement over previous versions in the series. It's still Alpha phase so still needs time to come into it's own. Have bought every game since OFP an have yet to be be seriously disappointed. Theres been ups an theres been downs, but thats nvr stopped me from enjoying an expierencing a lvl of realism an teamplay nvr b4 experienced in a game. So to answer your question..yes it's worth it an we've not even seen the full potentiol yet. Keep in mind it's a bit demanding on systems just depends on what build u have, but even that phase of the game is still ongoing.

    Hmm well I remember the days when swimming(improved/advanced compared to A1-A2) an scuba was only a pipe dream so maybe we'll see this finally happen.
  12. Did'nt that get broken with previous beta? An yes ai are a bit overpowered, scanning, spotting,reacting,aiming speed, ai shooting u before there animations catch up with there body movement, or seeing the uber ai snap to target in a milisec crack shot, 500m plus 1 shot kills. partly the reason why i only hosted GitsEvolution as it had an dificulty setting but the mp exploit fix broke it. An dont get me wrong if it was easy we'd probably not play it as long as we do but currently the op has a valid point.

    Voted +1 Totally differnt game but look at Nova Logics JO's LCAC's, interiors of flying helicopters,tops of tanks various land vehicles. Was'nt part of the switch to PhysX supposed to help make things like this possible in ArmA?

    TY was'nt sure if stable side is worth/safe switching server back too. Sry for offtopic. Best war sim experience hands down. you won't be disappointed, just remember if u get it, it's only in Alpha stage to make full release best for everyone.

  17. Have seen it occur several times on my server. Had players/friends tel me via steam that when I've crashed the error message was displayed. I almost always start via library/play arma3.

    Terminator Rising (WIP)

    Much impressed, could i dare to say Domination Terminator style. Could'nt(could actually) imagine running across the island being chased by these. Keepin an eye on this one.

    Kinda goes both ways some groups have pw'd serves an run various style missions with an exphasis on teamplay, some servers run unlocked servers with same exphasis. With regards to hacking until BE releases best to find a group...joinig a public server is kinda join at your own risk atm though I run mine on dev side atm so dunno what it's like on stable side.     User Mission Request Thread

    Some not seen yet an were alot of fun in A1 an A2 were coop/TVT search an destroy/ambush style convoy missions. Both as aggressors an defenders. One from ArmA1 1 team had to escort convoy too point A, an aggressors(players) had to hunt or were started somewhere along the convoys route an ambushed the convoy. Another one in coop was AI only an players lied in wait along specific point too set the ambush. Or another live players escorting a convoy thru certain points occupied by AI an had to reach point A etc.
  22. Yes, curious about this myself. I know Eggbeast played around with AI difficulty settings in Gits Evolution, but not sure if an how u can set them in the server. can s1 shead a lil light on this. At the present ai spot range an range accuracy seems a bit off. Also the ai animations of ai shoooting u b4 there rifle/body actually catches up with the whole movement seems off.
  23. Yeah definate fps boost over a NVidia GTS 450(old card) server I have uodated to dev bianaries so lil misleading atm compared to b4. But fps fluctuates mid teens too around 30ish. need to try so suggestions from the DayO sight and test more. Liking the card the lighting an all allows me to see how beautiful Stratis is. Still get stutters in thing like ai contact/engaging while using PIP in vehicles. But least it's playable. want to test playing the Git evolution but it's broken atm. Also any thoughts on SLI an this newAsus 660ti, as I might try that but might have to upgrade PSU as it's only @800watt. Also thinking at maybe finally making the SSD leap.
  24. Just added a GTX 660ti 2048mb GDR5 game auto detected everything high/very high an Ultra, need to test more :bounce3:
