Hey he said its "obviously obvious" and the island is pretty obvious to me.But Blu3sman is probably right. "Spartan Trail" aim to the east, also jets fly that way, so ...... expansion, new map from Turkey or even Iran? :confused: Wishfull thinking.

Thanks! I made quick test. Even helicopters from Arma 2 are included in free flight :). I think that ui.pbo, uifonts.pbo are better to take out from addons folder, otherwise UI is somehow damaged, or maybe I made something wrong. -
Just one small thing, I think that right car has window down. Hopefully it is also breakable. Regarding shadow, I'm now/still non-believer, it can be anything ;). I like story, looks promising .

If I remember correctly Ivan Buchta said in one czech video (spring pre-E3 one from last year), that RV4 engine had some new streaming technology, so that if they had some other island that you could sail or fly to the other island. So now it seems that they have other island so we can be surprised.

I was a little bored (Friday), so I decided to find out real location from L159 picture. And surprisingly it seems that it is not Limnos. I don't know if it was mentioned before. You have to search south from the Limnos ;). Interesting :). added: Everybody who find real location should not to tell anything, keep secret at least for a while ;).

I'm not sure if 'collective bug' is related to my 'spinning bug', but my problem is still there. I can easily reproduced it in every betapatch since then. I would not call it collective bug, because everything is very sensitive, collective is still working, but helicopter is spinning (same behaver like already fixed 88779 bug ), what help is turn off motor, even when I fly, then helicopter stop spinning and I can land with autorotation (usually it ends with crash :p). It seems that flight model goes crazy. I even reinstall game, no change :(. -
I'm not quite sure that object do not block light. I've just made quick comparison between Arma 2 and Arma 3. Not quite same composition, but it doesn't matter. If I understand Arma3 screenshots, there are three 3 cars in line, first car (right one) has light off, second car(left one) has light on and there is third car(or whatever) outside the scene. It seems to me that first car block light from second car, it is not quite clear, I can be completely wrong. Only what car doesn't do that don't cast shadows, I think that is OK, I can't imagine e.g. 10 dynamic lights casting shadows, poor hardware :). Also what I admire how second illuminate third car's light. It seems that lighting is not so exaggerated like in Battlefield 3, Crysis 2, BIS don't use artificial reflection, lens glare, I appreciate that. Anyway picture shows how "horrible" is night lighting in RV3, also there is clear that car doesn't block lights (note first car has light off!). Arma 3 screenshots looks absolutely more natural, million times better, but this perception can vary across individuals. Even if lights are only cosmetic I really welcome this change. added: Now I'm not quite sure, I see light inside Arma3 cabin, see left car's window, so then it have to be some light inside vehicle. It is not reasonable make result from one picture. :)

I believe it is same like in batllefield 3, not all light sources make shadows. There is usually only one light with shadows in the scene. So in Arma 3 scene only e.g. the moon is making shadows, but I'm too curious if it can be like in cryengine .

Print screen doesn't work. Download Fraps, basic functions are free, like saving screenshots. Last beta patch 88791 should have shortcut for capturing screenshot, but I can't get to work. -

It is sad to say it, but your problem is Bulldozer CPU (FX-8150), probably. It is pity that you couldn't read my older recommendation, see my older post . Also read PvPscene post, other nice tests have hardware.fr. I think that here we can blame AMD that produce worse architecture than in last generation. I seen some test which shows that Bulldozer IPC in single thread is in some cases worse or equal to Via Nano or AMD Bobcat core. A little bit off topic test with multi gpu has Hardocp, that is not even funny how bad is Bulldozer in Arma II. These all tests are from Arma 2, but TKOH share same engine so it should be also somehow valid for TKOH. Only what I can recommend you overclock you cpu, or sell FX-8150 and buy Phenom II x6 or high clocked Phenom II x4, hard to advise :(, it will not be huge improvement. Your other parts are great and should be OK for TKOH. I have same GPU and you can see below my rig and my setting in the game, but I have i5-2500K (cheaper CPU then FX-8150 with great overclocking ability). Your CPU is not so bad, for e.g. is better in video editing and so on, but I think not quite suitable for RV3 engine. I think that you will have to reduce object view distance, it is big fps killer and don't use PIP(I don't use it either). Perhaps others or devs can say something more about this problem. -

I believe that I can still reproduce spinning bug for medium helicopter (expert). Maybe it is because I damaged helicopter, or that I use only twist handle joystick, but I think that bug still persist there. You can reproduced it in free flight, take medium helicopter and quickly lower collective and at the same time push right pedal, I think that you don't need any flight speed. You can see on my video, that helicopter start to spinning, and control is again very sensitive, I can somehow manage heli, but helicopter even spin on the ground and stop spinning only after I switch off motor. I can now reproduced it very easily and don't think that I crippled helicopter, because it behave same like in previous beta patch. I found it because I wanted save poor ship-wrecked person and couldn't save him. I needed quickly transfer him to hospital and every time I end up in spin, and we died :( ;). edit: Now I see that OMAC already reported it, nevermind :). -

So then I can't use Free Flight (I don't use it anyway :)) for medium helicopter, heli start automatically spinning and only what you can do is lower collective, helicopter start to be "calm", but then collective, control (or whatever) is too sensitive, I can't control heli, I think that this behavior is not feature, or it is so because I control pedals with twist handle joystick. Aren't pedals now too powerful? for medium helicopter, at full speed I can turn helicopter with pedals. ------ added: Anyone have luck with new screenshot function? No luck here.
