There are many types of realism groups out there and I agree with Rob some are suited for different types of players. For example UKTF is the only main group to do PVP simulation where combat is not competitive but implements realistic force ratios, civilians and the media. Im sure you guys are a good group and even more reason for me to suggest you get involved in some joint operations with us to see what you think to our style of gaming. Operation Eagle Eye Situation: Over the past month NATO relations with Takistan have fallen flat after a unit of British contractors were beheaded on live TV in central Zargabad. This sparked international outrage and prompted international sanctions on Takistan. Since then there has been a more worrying development with SCUD missiles cited on the borders of the country aiming at NATO bases around the GULF. An Operation has been drafted in the event that the United Kingdom Tactical Force along with NATO allies is to be sent to deal with the threat. Mamuse Sikala leader and ruler of Takistan is a top priority and in the operation all effort will be made to deal with him and his forces. Ground attacks will be brought into motion after significant NATO bombing campaigns have taken place. Execution: The first stages of the operation will take place on 31/07/2011 SUNDAY AT 7.30PM where NATO and UKTF forces will strike key bases around the country to weaken the regime. Recently UKTF have established set sections so that when you join you will be assigned to a section of your choosing complementing a role you want. (subject to requirement) We are building a true community where the section you train with will always be the one you fight with. Recently we have now set a solid structure that all recruits must now complete and pass. It is not information overload but it is key that you learn everything in these training sessions before fighting. BASIC In BASIC a recruit will learn NAVIGATION, COMBAT MANEUVERS, CQB, SPEED TESTING and ASSAULTING. NAVIGATION Navigation is set in 3 parts. Standard orientation, (Basically knowing where you are and plotting a route) Combat navigation, Spotting a contact reporting it correctly giving the squad leader, team leader enough info to make the right decisions Air support, Artillery management. Being able to plot a course for support by fire. CQB Learning how to deal with close quarter battle in urban environments. Learning about Angle and how to defeat the enemy with minimal casualties. SPEED TESTING In this part of the course you will be required to take a speed test where a rang of targets will be presented. In teams of two you will move through the course shooting the targets that the UKTF Staff ask for. An example would be 1,3,2 as the targets are in groups of threes. After completion of this course there will be a number of questions that you will need to answer correctly. Hi we are =UKTF= a tactical realism clan for ARMA2 What do we do? =UKTF= specializes in realistic PVP and co-op for combined ops, one of the most significant features of the clan is the fact we usually operate with NO RESPAWN. We implement British tactics and usually play with British Armed Forces. One other significant feature is our use of Media reporters in missions to fully document battles. An example setup might be AI populace on both sides all NON combatants 4-6 civi/taliban 10-12 British troops with air support This is far more realistic to the sorts of battles troops face today and members playing as Taliban will have to be very mature. ROE will be that no one can be shot unless carrying a weapon, which will allow Taliban players to choose when to attack. Equally UAV support may be on task for British troops so they will have to be very careful. British troops can arrest civi/Taliban players if they are deemed to have been shooting or performing an action like planting an IED. The whole aim of this is immersion, not knowing who the enemy are and when they will strike. This is quite possibly the most demanding experience you will encounter in ArmA as with strict ROE you can be attacked at any time What mods do you use?? We operate with two main mods currently ACE2 ACRE we believe these to be vital to the clan, with the advanced communications that ACRE provide and additionally ACE we can get as close to realism as possible. Why join? We are a tight knit community that is already established in Project Reality and now moving to ArmA2. Our members all have a background in arma and are keen to get back into it.
