hi, I think you can buy aircrafts(planes)at the airfield hangar in warfare, there is a airfield obj that have a hangar where you can buy the planes ones it is captured, i do know this was the case in Arma1 but not sure if its the same in Arma2 warfare cya

hi, First what editor are u using ;the 2D editor or 3D one, the 2D is the better 1 to use to make SP an MP missions. second: i dont know why you use a tool to pack your mission? in the (2D) editor you can place all you want and then save it as a SP mission or save as a MP mission, then go to MP and host or use LAN to try it out and you will play it in the version that you have saved it in editor. i think you make it harder then it already is, and if you still got probs. let us know. later -
hi use up and down arrow to change marker and shift up or down to change color. cya

hi when you fly at higher altitude you can drop down to the target,aim at or little above target when going down. release bomb(s) and pull out. with a little training you should get the hang off it pretty fast. for lowlevel bombing you need to line up with target ,reduce speed and drop bomb(s) at the right moment to hit the target. its mutch harder this way to hit the target and needs lots off training to get it right.

hi ghost, indeed there is a mission made for Arma1 that is called "the longest day" I know cause i played it a lot ,but its a mission for the VTE-mod, your title like its now should be ok, but if you want to change it you can call it-" the hardest day" or "the darkest day". but its really up to you if you want to change the name. cya

Its beeing done in Domination so its possible to do but with some scripting. but for now as a standalone addon its not out yet,mayby in future. I think there is a script for it for Arma1,mayby you can use that! cya -

How do you physically attach a trigger to a unit?

hi, just place a trigger next to the unit that you want to link it with and use F2(group)to link the unit with trigger, but now the activation off the trigger is based on the unit or group! have fun. -

you can puth a time-delay in the WP so the chopper will be X number off sec unloading troops and when time runs out he will leave for next WP. in the WP i think its under name you can see 3boxes called ;min,med and max puth there a time off 60(in all) and the chopper will wait for 60 at that WP before it moves on . Else look op Mr.murray's editing guide for Arma,its a great help on WP's and missionmaking, just ask if you need more help. cya -

hi zipman what do you mean with "a set time",it can mean so mutch; you can puth a time in a Waypoint that it will make the chopper wait for this mutch time before it starts the WP. or do you want your chopper to take off at ex. 11am? or do you want to let the chopper wait at a LZ for X number off min? next time give some more details about your prob, it will fix the problem faster hope its some help, cya -

hi gundawgo9 its not so hard to get a chopper in that picks up units up and drop them off at a specific LZ. first make a team with waypoint -GET IN- and the second WP -Move or seek and destroy-, then, place a chopper(flying or landed) give it a WP-LOAD-and place it close to units -GET IN-WP, give chopper a second WP-TRANSPORT UNLOAD-and place this 1 on your LZ where you want troops to be dropt off, you can give it a third WP away from LZ so he will move away from LZ after dropping off troops or he will stay around to give airsupport. Now; only need to syncronize(F5) the units -GET IN-WP with the chopper-LOAD-WP and now it should work like a charm. for extraction its the same only that you need a trigger and some commands to let the chopper wait at base and it will come get you at designated LZ when specific unit(s) reach LZ. Hope its some help and if you still have probs just ask. Cya -

Hi Its indeed a nice feature to rest your gun on a railing or window or the hood off your car. sadly its not in Arma2(yet) but you can already do it in Arma1 with the ACE mod, in the ACE mod you can go stand to a window,hood off car and it will automaticly rest your gun on it, gives a more stable gun and better fire. So nope not in Arma2 yet but the ACE-mod is coming over to Arma2, We will see it soon! cya later -

Hi Rub!c0n, Playing in MP will improve soon now that arma have been released,more clanservers and servers from ppl that got 1 in arma will get up and there will be more games to choise from(I will have it in a week)Mayby we can get together for some gaming :D For starting with specific kit(like sniper) it all depends on mission, There are X number off units placed in mission that ppl can choise from when joining mission(there can be snipers in there but not always)but when mission starts you can change your gear in the nearest ammo&weaponbox . There was a option in Arma where you could choise your gear in the briefing before you start the mission,dont know for ArmaII but I think it should work 2 for editor go to->sigleplayer->editor(bottom)->take map(utes)->press ok and your in, double click on map and place a unit as player press preview(bottom)and your off to run around on utes. Same go for everything else you want in. just play a lot with the editor,try to learn most off the fuctions and in no time you will be playing your own made mission,when you know the editor well you can start to implement scrips,triggers,waypoints,..., Gone look for some links and update this post little later. Hope its been some help,Post your progress and probs and some1 will help you out, later:cool:

hi Rub!c0n, welcome to Arma II, for someone that didn play arma before my first suggestion is to train ,train and train some more cause you gone need it if you want to go online, training:use the editor to train yourself with all the weapons that are ingame so you know what weapon fits you the best(AK,M16,G36,...)same go for cars,trucks, apc's,tanks,planes,choppers,...;with that knowledge you will stay longer alive and you can strike the enemy harder back. use off editor isn't that hard,just pick a map then double click on map,you will see a list appear with all units in game (west,east,guer,civ,animals,...)just choise 1 press ok,you will see green dot on map with red circle (Thats you) press preview and after loading your off to run around,drive,fly,shoot,...; Hope it gets you started and look further in Forum for more help and guides (Its really a big help) then, MP-online game First go look for a server that runs PVP or Coop,CTI,DM,CTF,whatever you want,look for a server with some ppl on and press join, then when you get in the game you have to choise a unit to play with,they are predefined by missionmaker,if there is no sniper dont worry cause when you start game first thing you will come arcross is a ammo and weaponscrate. Same like for training,look on forum for more help and tips. well hope its some help and mayby I will see you in the field,goodluck -
how to make AI leave an objective and attack?

Hi, yes, units and groups will engage enemy when going to or defending waypoints, and you can give different waypoints for several tasks; Hold: unit will hold waypoint for as long if you want, Guard- unit will guard waypoint and will engage and chase off enemy,after will return to waypoint to guard, Cycle- puth this as you last waypoint and place it over your first waypoint and it will make unit go back to first WP to start his patrol again so he keeps going, then there is some simple scripting for units to react to when triggerd etc. Hope it is some help,cya later -
hi, just want to see a fix on the weapon loss, when you go swimming you lose your main weapon ,they got it fix in arma after couple off patches but now we face same prob in arma2 , hope it get fix soon!!!:bounce3:
