The submit the thumbnail of picture will show up, then when someone clicks it the full size image will open. Just press "OK" and continue to play as normal. I have fixed this error and it won't be present in the BETA. ;) -
Golbal warming :D

I have to disagree with that, there have been numerous times when my antivirus found a virus i what I was downloading, on removable media and so on...
-
Avast! All the way bro :bounce3: I've been using it since as far as I can remember, never had a virus on my PC. Another great Czech company.

If you need any textures or photographs from which to make textures go to this site: www.cgtextures.com You need to make a account tough. Tips: Getting straight in to game development is quite a bumpy road, I would recommend that you get in to game modding first so you find out the basics of how game engines work. I would recommend that you make a few addons for ArmA 2 to get started, animate them, get everything to work etc... You might not think so but this will give you tons of knowledge and practice, plus its encouraging to see your work in game after. All the best with learning game design  - Martin

Damn that brings back some happy memories :bounce3:

Hi HoodRussian13, Could you make a screenshot of the problem with the railroad platform please, because I don't know if you were referring to the same place I think or not, I just want to make sure that the bug you found is fixed for sure. Thanks @Orcinus & Thani '82: Thanks guys  -
Hi Themarksman802, You should get employed in to the BIS marketing team. But you forgot to say the most important thing: ArmA 2: X is only £19.99 on steam right now, 50% sale

Well communism wasn't the best, Havel wasn't the best but he did do good things too, nothing in the world is perfect but at least now we can travel freely and buy what ever we want if we have the money. Back in the day it was hard to even get to the Soviet Union. Anyway, all that is history now, no use to remember it now. I do apologise if I caused offence with my previous post as this wasn't the best place to say it. :o Anyway, RIP Havel.

Guys, I'm having trouble with my internet connection, so I don't know if I will be to upload the BETA by Christmas, hopefully I will get it all sorted by then. I'm in a internet cafe now. So see you guys soon, hopefully. :( Well that’s a hard question, I started this map in OFP and worked on if on and off for about2 years and then gave up on it since nobody played OFP anymore. The I got a new PC and started converting the old map to ArmA 2, but I didn't work on ti very intensively so it took long. In the past 6 months I really started to work on it intensively and got more then helf of the island done. So all in all 4 years but in real time about 1.5  I wish I had more time, to get it done faster but I can only work on it for a few hours every day and on the weekends. Damn I was hoping nobody would notice that :o -
Hi Tankbuster, I don't mean to celebrate anyones death but Vaclav Havel wasn't all that he seemed to be, yes he "fought against communism" (while everyone else got shot, except him), but he is also responsible for the decay that my country has slipped in to after during his reckless rule, he is responsible for selling state property to Western countries for extremely undervalued prices, he is responsible for allowing Communist criminals to get away UNPUNISHED and even become rich business men and owners of previously state owned businesses. He wanted the US secretary of state to become Czech president after him... I had to leave my country because of the corruption and unfairness that he created, he was nothing more then a puppet set up by the "communists" and their Western allies to make sure that the communists stayed in power and got rich with their western friends. As a human, I respect his death and hope that he rests in peace. As a politic, he won't be missed. He was the Eastern European version of Ghadaffi. No offence meant but I just wanted to leave my views on this since I come from there. Best regards

Hmm good point, I guess you’re right even if you replace the quantity of passengers with bombs (if the airplane is a bomber). I guess even if I had 50 000 litres and poured it in to this big airplane (How much fuel would this fortress need anyway?), it would still disappear even if I divided it between smaller airplanes. But I would still go for more smaller airplanes then 1 or 2 big ones because I think there is a better chance that more of them will make it to the target and back to base, since this huge airplane would be an easy target
-
I did that of course, I was watching the documentary on Google videos but I just couldn't find the second part, it also had a different title but it was the same video. Oh well, happens As for politics... I'm fed up that subject. But why do you guys have to argue about this... The off topic is filled with boring, useless threads so it’s not like one post in an old thread will make a difference, besides at least this subject is about something, unlike other threads. Anyway, we have enough admins that will step in if a rule has been broken so don't worry. You’re worried about cluttering up the forum with an old thread norailgunner, yet you just cluttered 1 page of a thread with nothing.

I remember watching this documentary a few years ago but I couldn't find part 2 of it, so thanks for posting this. I think that depleted uranium ammunition, and every other nuclear related weapon is the most cruel weapon that you can use, not to mention the environmental impact that DU ammunition has and the danger of it after the target has been destroyed. Disgusting that this is still being used, but it goes to show how dirty countries can be in war. Humanity better stay away for this stuff, sadly this subject is quickly forgotten. Come on man, that was the most useless post...

Even if the airplane could fly and fire the huge cannons, it would have a number of very big disadvantages (literally). 1. Because it’s so big, it would be much easier to hit from the ground. 2. Because it’s so big, it would need a lot of crew members, and if it fell down you would have a lot of dead men, just from one airplane. 3. Because it’s so big, you would need a lot of fuel. 4. Because it’s so big, I don’t see what else it can do apart from being big. Quantity, not size is the answer Nevertheless it would be cool to have it in ArmA :o

Hey guys, Just a small thing that some may find interesting. As I work my way through the island to fix bugs I'm also adding drains (this was always missing in urban areas) and I have finally implemented new street names on poles (so that they don't stay in the air when the building collapses) as Topas suggested a few months ago. Thanks for the idea again Topas The screenies were taken in Bulldozer so they are quite small. Don't worry it will be fixed soon -

Looking for the location of some objects in the CA folder
-martin- replied to -martin-'s topic in ARMA 2 & OA : TERRAIN - (Visitor)
Hey guys, Does anyone know where this object is located? I've been looking for ages and can't find it Thanks in advance! -
Corruption, secret police and all that stuff exist in every state, and just for the record, no, Bohemia Interactive (BIS) doesn't have anything to do with the Czech security information service :D I came across the acronym BIS on other things in CZ too, like champagne for example. And now, what does this have to do with sightseeing in Prague? :D
-
Thanks B  I’m pretty sure that this should work with the tool too. If BIS roads work then this logically has to work too, but if you do have to write a script please post it here so I can bundle it in with the next version of this addon, if there will ever be one. Btw, that road texture you made is amazing! Looks exactly like Eastern European roads with all the pot holes and cracks, and with a couple of yellow lines on the sides it would be perfect for the UK Roads pack. If you still have it, send it to me and I will add one more variation of roads (with pot holes) to this pack when I get the time. They’re not that bad here in West London. (But a UAZ would still be handy for those damn speed bumps ) Nope, the Poseidon engine just doesn’t support driving on the correct side of the road so no matter what I do to the model AI will never “listenâ€. I hope that in future games BIS will add a module to sort this problem out because I’ve been planning a British island for some time now. Why, I think its normal, not that long ago Czechoslovakia drove on the left side too. I find driving in the UK completely normal, you get used to it after a few weeks and it’s not as hard as it seems. Besides driving on the left side makes Britain unique in Europe and interesting, I’m going to miss it when I leave the UK. Although I have to admit that I nearly got run over in Dover when I first came to the UK because I forgot and looked in the wrong direction lol.

Hi Max54, Yes I have, here is how it looks now: I have also added the area shown in the last update to the satellite mask, here is how it looks from the air: News: I have finished all the object placement in Visitor for the BETA, it is now 90% complete. The final stage will be to resume fixing all the bugs and missing parts found in the Alpha version and then to examine the completed BETA island for any missed imperfections and last minute tweaks, this should take about 2 weeks. I will not be doing much updates or posting screenshots during this time, so I will see you guys, hopefully on Christmas Eve  Papa bear, Out. -
You're welcome guys  Not at the moment, these are just models, to do that I guess you would need some kind of script, but I'm not too good in that field :o Hmm I don't know, I have never used road painter and never tried these models in it. But the models are the same as BIS and any other road models so I guess they should work (unless they need a config). However I would appreciate it if you could try them in roadpainter out and let us know if they work, if you can.
