  1. Taviana Island BETA 2 Released! Finally after 6 months of hard work the second BETA version of Taviana Island for ArmA II has been released! Apart from major bug fixes, the second BETA of the island is loaded with tons of new features such as a football stadium, ports, oil rigs, highway, train station and more! The island also gives the player more than a half more playing area than the first BETA, including Lepestok, which is another city, nearly as big as the capital Sabina. 3. Well I'm back with new screenshots! I've finally finished a bit of the North, one more town, some tweaking and I’ll be ready to release another Beta, this won’t be tomorrow tough so don’t expect it for a couple of more weeks. Please leave your feedback :)
  4. Hah I knew nobody forgot OFP yet
  5. My plan is solid as steel, it will be ported to A3 Topas, nope there is no embargo, however all the stores are state owned, but two of them are called "Koopearativa" and "Prior", written in Cyrillic, so you can make skins for that :winnk_o:
  6. This is it's cousin town :D
  7. I didn't texture the inside yet too So romantic... Lepestok (meaning "petal/leaf")... The second largest city on the island The highway in Lepestok Lepestok is split in half by the highway which connects the North to the South Blocks in Lepestok... Lepestok also features a trolleybus network Flying above the city in a MIG-15
  8. Hello everyone, Just to let you know, I am not dead and Taviana is not dead too. I've just been extremely busy but nevertheless I have made huge progress on the island... 3/4 are now done and the second BETA is nearly ready to be released, depending on how busy I will be in the near future. But apart from that, let me show you how busy I've been! The port of Dalnogorsk... The port of Dalnogorsk under siege... The town of Dalnogorsk (Meaning "The far away town"), South of the port... Anyone remember this town from somewhere? A valley The city of Sevastopol' Sevastopol' square Sevastopol' train station, based on the main station in Kiev, Ukraine... I haven't textured this model yet.... The front of the station... Based on Pragues main station Inside... Some of my retextured OSShDY train carriages
  9. Gonna look in to that Sabina is still, for the time being the largest city on the island.

Got Skype, ICQ? I'll show you, I also wanna show you one object error so you can fix it and the island picture The island is quite nice I got an idea for a little campaign so it would be a shame not to fix it.

Excellent Jakerod! I just found out about it now, congratulations on wining the competition! Here is a beer from me. A few comments about the map: Love the idea with the rivers and bridges, the towns looks picturesque, the map looks very clean, good quality satellite mask and the radio tower in the town is also a good idea... I will definitely add this to my island collection... Just a shame that there are no town names on the screenshot, but I haven't downloaded it yet so I don’t know for sure...
  12. It's a ÐœÐЗ 503 (MAZ 503)
  13. Hello everyone, Long time since I've done an update because I've been very busy lately... It’s that time of year again. But I have done some work on the island and half of the second big city is now complete. Only one half remains and the island will be 3/4 done! Here are some screenies:

What languages do you know or want to know.

Well, there are probably as many reasons as there are words for this, but to sum it up, words change because, people change, kingdoms change and times change.

Of course, just look in to some older English poems or songs. A very famous example is the word is "gay", which used to mean "happy" but has now turned in to a word which refers to homosexual men, mostly as a taunt. However the word is now changing again, anyone who comes in to contact with teenagers should know that the word is now regularly used to say that something is not good, not appealing etc... (I know that some members here my live an alternate life style, so I'd just like to say that I didn't mean any offence by this to anyone who is homosexual :) )

Zapad and Zachod aren't the only ones... But just so there is no confusion, Zapad and Zachod do actually mean the same thing logically, it’s just that we apply them in a different logic. In Slavic the words mean this: Za-chod – in/behind go Za-pad – in/behind fall So when referring to the sun you can say: Zachod – the sun went in/behind Zapad – the sun fell in/behind But in Czech you can also go (in) to the toilet which you do a lot during the day… so the toilet is commonly called Zachod (place where you go). Czech and Russian have this strange relationship of giving the same word opposite meaning :D Czech - English................Russian - English Páchneš - You stink ............ Pachneš -You smell nice Ůžasné - Amazing ............ Užasnо - Horrible Zapoměl - I forgot ............ Zapomnil - I rememberred Or this one, In Macedonian "Luk" means garlic, in Russian it means "Onion".
  17. Nice Jeza, the last two screen shots of the forests look very nice indeed Once you get some more objects placed this map will really come to life
  18. Wow you guys discovered America... Told you years ago :j: But was labelled a hater of democracy, the free market, the free press, a communist, terrorist and what not... *Maximises Visitor 3*
  19. Damn, rest in peace :( What a shame that such as a talent and human life has been lost.
  20. Hello everyone, :) Here's something to take your minds off the politics, money and all that crap... With only a few days left until Maslenitsa (Which is when the winter ends and spring begins in Slavic mythology, for all those that don't know), spring is quickly coming upon us and people are beginning to think about their summer holidays, where they will go and what they will do. So I thought it would be interesting to share some of our funny holiday stories with each other, refresh our memories and hopefully have a good laugh in the first days of summer. So as the title says, tell us your best, worst or funniest holiday experience was like :D I'll start off with my worst holiday experience (and no this is not a rant/hate etc... post, just fun): It happened last year when I betrayed Croatia for the first time and went for a 1 week holiday to Costa Brava, near Barcelona, Spain. It took me about 1 hour to finally find the hotel in the town (which happened to be a 10 story building right beside the main road on which I drive up and down at least 20 times lol :o) and another 20 minutes to find out how to get to the sandy parking lot at the back of the hotel. But yeah, I managed to park, check in and hit the beach. I was a little bit disappointed about how little trees and vegetation there was compared to Croatia but nevertheless it was nice, sunny and relaxing, and expensive. :n: When I returned to the hotel room I found out that the shower had stopped working, and had to wait for the whole night (sweaty) until a room freed up and I could relocate myself there, however that room didn’t have a TV and also to my inconvenience the room was right above a stage bellow, so I could enjoy the full volume of the speakers until 3 in the morning every day. But that wasn't anything compared to what happened next. I stepped on some spiky creature when I was messing around in the sea and in a few hours my foot swelled up and I couldn't walk for the rest of the holiday. So when I finally got to leave, I found out that I had a flat tire because I drove on to some nail... So that’s my worst holiday adventure. :D now it’s your turn to tell us something funny
  21. -martin-

What was your worst/best/funniest holiday like?

Lol My mouth dropped when I read this :butbut: The town I was in is right beside Lloret De Mar (Santa Susana). But still, even though this one holiday didn’t go so well I can never judge the whole country on that so I will definitely go back to Spain one day, but I can’t cant detach from Croatia  @Photo of Pyrenees – Beautiful mountains, I’m definitely going to visit them next time I go to Spain or France. Ah Croatia, it’s like heaven… I got an uncle there (in Rijeka) so I go there every year for 2 -3 months, never been disappointed, never will be. Once I get done with studies I’m going to move there now that they will enter the EU. To sum it up: Slavic language: Good Architecture: Good Food: Good Culture: Good Music: Good Drink: Good Warm weather and countryside: Good Girls: Fuck yeah! Oh and PlitviÄka Jezera, that was awesome, I’m gonna have to post some photos and information about this. Its definitely worth visiting especially if you live nearby, Germany, Italy, Czech rep, Balkans etc... The only thing that really upset me when I was there is when I saw a tourist throw a battery from his camera in to the water. I felt like snapping his neck ahhh  Sure upload the photo when you got time

I definitely need to remember that, for any case.
