I hope BIS add it in (if it isn't already). But I don't think it should be available in the editor. He should just spawn randomly around the map, if at all, but only in the forest areas. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, bigfoot hunting :)

This is simply one of the problems with pubs and domination/evolution etc. The servers go to shit because everything becomes unorganised. If you want to really experience the game, approach your local clan/squad/arma community. I'd recommend the Tactical Gamer servers tbh because they are always polite to noobs, play seriously, and kick/ban people who don't. (btw the server isn't up yet, and I'm not a TG member either). The unfortunate thing about arma is the game REALLY depends on who you play with, more so than other games. Luckily, there are a ton of small communities who will play the way it's mean to be. Joining a random pub is not really recommended. Joining clan servers is more likely to get you into a serious game. One thing I should mention is to introduce yourself as someone new but willing to learn. If you start pressing buttons and walking around willy-nilly, you'll soon find yourself out of the server as quickly as you got in. Hope that helps. BTW, CTI = capture the island (a term used in arma1, OFP when the only maps were islands).

Hi all, ausarma.org is up! Please post feedback. It's still WIP, and I have a few colour issues to deal with but the css scripts are proving to be a fucking nightmare when integrating the forum and main site together. I also have to get all the modules to work, but because I have integrated joomla and phpbb, i have to code the modules manually into joomla for it to retreive the forum info (login, who's online, latest posts.. etc). Join up!

I liked the old notebook tbh, but this is much cleaner. The old one gave me the feeling of being in the field though.

Both are bugs,wait until the next patch (or after) to play the campaign. You lose artillery support when you need do the need to capture that guy in the village right next to FOB manhatten (forgot the exact name). -
Hey, the only thing that will be the same is the name really. Although the site goals are similar to the same as the old one. I know the old site got hacked and I think this one will be more secure, plus it's backed up a lot. There is already an IRC channel (#ausns in gamesurge) is steam group (ausns) that you can join while you wait for the site to go up. It's all needs a bit of work though. If you have any content I could use, please send me a pm. Cheers

Excellent idea! PLEASE create a sticky with the curent campaign bugs that are being worked on/fixed for the next patch. I understand that these missions are complex, but I fail to see how beta testers can miss soooooooooooooooo many glaringly obvious bugs and basically every mission.

Is there a mod with tank on tank warfare?

um F2, select armour, and then drop some tank "groups" of opposing sides. Set some waypoints (optional) and boom, tank fight! -
If you played the mission there is only two general areas that the camp is located. And one of them is west of a certain town..... that I can't remember the name of..

When does this activate for you? Whenever I get in the red car, he just keeps driving... eventually stopping at some church, he gets out of the car and just stands there doing nothing. Because the script prevents me from gettingout of the car, I'm stuck in there. Sick mission..:rolleyes:

yeah, i waited AGES for them to come and the never did, ended up having to take it out myself....this is with a restart of the mission with 1.02 btw. The camp was west of..... that place i can't remember the name of.

1) The AI still has a lot of "learning" to do, but it is a vast improvement over OFP1, thier use of cover, flanking, suppression etc is quite amazing. 2) It is a new graphics engine... 3) Can't disagree with that one, just going to have to wait for more patches. -
It was good, but didn't fix enough campaign issues. I still can't finish it because of bugs.

Yes I am using =the 1.02patch. I seem to randomly loose my artillery support, and something elese, which i don'twant to say for spoiler reasons.

It's is really fun and open ended, but rarely works. Once I FINALLY got past manhatten after restarting all the time due to various bugs, I got onto the next mission only to find a huge bug that wouldn't let me finish the mission. One of the triggers didn't work so i was stuck and literally could not get out of this crappy car. Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait for patches....

Most of them are in the red circled areas and on the peaks of hills, I think you're meantto use the UAV but that thing sucks ass... Best to take the APC out and just bash through the forest. Careful though because lots of them have RPG's. -

I have this bug... where I choose to go with NAPA. They take me in the car, and then.... he says "I can only take you to Novy Sober". So we get there.... and he just keeps going, eventually stopping and getting out of the car. Because the script prevents anyone from getting out of the car, we are stuck in the car and the mission ends via bug. (it doesn't actually end, you just can't go any further, you're stuck in the car lol.) -
Just played manhatten again, and it's fucking STILL bugged! I randomly lose my artillery support, and I STILL can't call "boomerang" to attack! 3rd time restarting this mission! Please fix these BIS!

If you use "fire for effect HE" you'll wipe out most of the tanks/infantry there.
