Uh, wrong. He's holding it wrong, but it IS pointing in the right direction. I'm almost positive its the wrong way, or at least the opening is a wrong texture....you know what thats what it is.

Any word on fixing the AI's target identifying. What I mean by this is say you set up a check point in OFP. IF you have car filled with enemy guys the AI will pick the car up as an enemy at a far distance. Or if you flying as a Jet/Heli the AI will pick it up. Now I would think the only way the AI to identifying right away is if the enemy is if its a tank, APC, heli or Jet. Any thought?

The question is : Is this normal to run around a back of a chopper when its in flight. Does the army get a football game going in the back?

The original reason I brought this up was after looking at the videos and pics, the faces didnt look like an image. It looked more like a facegen-like process.

Did you guys watch the trailer to the Assie in Vietnam.....looks like a OFP mod and thats it! Dont get your hope up for anything new guys.

Well thats where something like facegen comes in. But I still want custom faces. Its a must in OFP type games.

Well if you take a look at the faces they dont lok like jpgs over a mesh, they look alot like "facegen".

WEll I'm a Project Reality www.realitymod.com player. I like it, its fun and way better then Vanilla BF2. Its still arcadie, but its just the game. The one huge thing I love about OFP is just the damn size. I love the missles in @WGL the indirect ones, its like watching a real gun cam. Now the biggest thing ARMA need to do is get the damn gun sights right on helis and tanks, Modders try but can only go so far. Maybe with the new shaders they could add IR look.

wonder how this will work in MP? cause it could be alot of code you know? Nice to know you can put the tape on your headphones too, always wearing a hat could suck. The day you dont need anything will be a great day, I'm sure they are working on it. There is already face/eye/mouth detection out there.

Sure, I cant set up a pic or video this sec, but let me be more discriptive. "Lazer des guy" targets a tank with a lazer, A10 comes in for an attack with a LGB, after the A10 drops the LGB it will always miss the lazer target by 50-100 feet or so. -

I did some test and it always misses. This is with and with out AI. allthough a human player can get it more on target with a dive. -

I've noticed that the A10 LGB is very inaccurate. The stock A10 (LGB) hit on target but the WGL misses by 50 feet everytime. -
Too bad the cars and trucks still take the turns too early. Maybe its a turning radius problem in the engine?

How did it work in OFP? I hear some ppl saying the direct function work liked a speaker comming from the player? Or is that wrong? I sure ARMA hasent changed it that much (well maybe). Most likely just improved it.

OKKK I'm a Dumbass!!!! CAS is to tell aircraft to come to your location and search and destroy, it doesnt tell the aircraft to attack the CAS target. The Lazer weapon tell the air craft where to attack! -

Now, I know nothing about scripting, but from what I know about configs, if you wanted to make a special free fall bomb for the AI you would make the bombs like the GBU so they can only target the laser target, but then have it so that it isnt a guided weapon, if that makes sense? (and if it will work) Oh I was just thinking that the CAS target would show up as a "invisible tank object" or a "invisible enemy object". But then I guess ground unit would fire at it also? -

Well tried it out and nothing, I used a all the AH-1, a-10's, and Apache's. No one fired just flew back and forth over it. Is there any way to make this a target for droping bombs? I'm not sure of how IRL works, but a a10 bombing a CAS target would be helpful some times. Thanks -
