wow been away a while and come back to this thanks Mando. I also have choppy hellfire cam on AH64 but I was running it in a warfare mission with loads of AI, I thought it might be that but perhaps not.

can we have this in arma 2 will it work? i used to play this all the time.

HI Mando I'm available for any beta testing as well. Hopefully I will be able to port all this to warfare like I did in Arma.

I would love a version of this mission that was PVP. SAy OPFOR could be humans that are transported to the target area and have to stop the bluefor team doing the objective. Just a thought Love the mission.

We need an arma2 mission that plays like the way cod 4 mw 2 does it. Quick infantry rounds with backup up by helis etc. Then we need to push this to all the clans and get Arma2 ruling the roost.

I had a go on this its really good for a quick blast. Which is about all i can manage at the moment. I hope they update it a bit. I'd like a similar thing but with cod 4 alike missions. Quick rounds that move around the map would be good with heli and tank back up for the quick infantry battles.

yeah same here. There is a trading mfd and a orbiter weapons project but as far as I can tell it's not very advanced yet. have you tried freelancer with the discovery mod its quite good very similar to elite. No good physics tho but there are 200 players servers up.

do you live in the UK? Arma links to the outside world and downloads the weather data.

I really really wish they could merge elite with orbiter - I really do. I know there have been some attempts at it but i just want elite with orbiters physics come on somebody do it.

Okay I have been exploring a bit with space games and I would recommend Freelancer with the discovery mod. Its a full on RPG experience that is very similar to Elite and the real bonus is there are 200 player servers that are nearly always packed with players online. Its really great and free apart form the cost of freelancer. the graphics are updated etc and look pretty good but there's hundreds of ships weapons and star systems to choose from. the first game i had i went in got lost in a gas cloud and some helpful people came in rescued me and even gave me some money to start me off... and pointed me in the right direction for mining possibilities etc.

here's a link to tonal one of the best islands for ofp and the addon that got me back into BIS games. there was a campaign for it I cant remember its name but it really drew me in so atmospheric.

I would love a map like Tonal (or even an upgraded port). I used to love that place the lush rolling savannah and dense jungle areas in the same map, the lonely villages with mudhuts and the feeling of blazing heat. Such a great map to play on a rainy day in the UK. Are there any tonal alikes that i have missed?

I tried that evochron legends looks really good but a bit crashy!!! Graphics are a bit off but I love the gameplay and the atmospheric landings etc.

i keep thinking i would like this as it seems like the nearest thing to elite. But you dont actually fly in spaceship do you its all pointy clicky ( so i haven't bothered looking). I need to be IN the space ship!!! I really want a frontier style multi player game where you can land on planets etc. (perhaps we could mod arma2 to be like this somehow :-)
