  1. Someway this mod ADDS realism to Arma2 because as now poorly trained units have no significant difference with others. Arma is perfect to simulate infantry VS infantry firefights, but special forces and militia are not well represented. Wolfrug created this to simulate at least the less precise fire of the formers...Ok maybe not completely realistic but it's great for now!

    Btw Wolfrug, it's now 2 days i'm trying different situations with your HD_units and i have to say good work man, even if to me as it is now they are "Dumb"... I mean it's too much for me. Just adding more targets HD units are completely un-effective. In all 1vs1 team encounters this setting works well and Insurgents/guerrilla units are perfect.

    But as soon as you add units to the battle the worse it gets. I tried today the ultimate verification with 10 Insurgents teams against 3 infantry on defensive. I went as sniper observing. Open ground was deadly for obvious reasons but suppressive fire by attacking insurgents was useless.

    This is another reason i'd prefer a module ;)

    Btw i think the setting should be "lowered" a little.

    The Gorkas you are talking about maybe are those produced by ANA. Common in MVD forces. In other units Splav ones, and i think this is the model choosen by BIS. Keep in mind that there are so many russian camo out there, everyone with differences because of the uniform cut, or even the company producing it.

    KLMK and Berezka are "fun" camos. We need different models for those even if i'm considering the Flectarn-D camo to substitute KLMK in future uniforms. Berezka should be used on a BDU. WE NEED MODELS !!!! :D


  3. I understand but it would be a waste of time right now as we are toiling to find the time to go on with the following part of the project, adjusting equipment and preparing stuff for upcoming BDU models.

    If Massi wants to create a new PBO as replacement for general BI spetsnaz, then it's up to him, but he's not plenty of time right now and i have a timetable too...

    I also know that many are unsatisfied by basic choice for russian SF by BIS, but you can still use these for now.


  4. I tried it today.

    I feel the difference even if it doesen't seems much...i tried my GRU units against 3 teams of guerrillas in HD. Just one kia. I don't know if your mod influences movement too, as it looked like they were behaving badly but shooting wasn't too dispersive. Short range was not affected, maybe just reaction time.

    Btw don't misunderstand me. I mean good work; you made a step forward doubtless. ;)

  6. I've noticed that GRU operator with AKM-GL (with Vilas weapons config) is using polish AKM with Pallad GL. So, is it because I use both modern weaponpack and P85 one?

    A screen would be useful ;) Btw i'm not sure about P85's AKM about the material used on the grip. Maybe Vilas could help...

    You mean a MVD unit as it could be the spetsgruppa Vityaz or the Alpha, and here the project is really different, or you just wanted the coolest setup available for Arma2 OPFOR ?? :D


  8. My replacement pack for Vanilla is laid out below. It uses a good spread of weapons, based upon what i could observe/read as being somewhat realistic. I haven't changed everything - just most things :)

    A good one: I think RPG29 should be a AT team's weapon only. Surely not for SF units... because of the size. RPG26, if available, should be the SF first choice for hvy fire ;)
