Wow, that ASRAD-R video was quite good. Has anyone considered making one for OFP? ;) Would make a good addon, if you ask me, not too long-ranged etc. Finnish Defence Forces recently bought these systems. Maybe I will make a suggestion about this. Just wondering if there's enough resources in the net for textures etc.

You could easily cause FOD damage to the aircraft ;) (Notice the new term I coined from FSPilot). My favourite little cargo plane is the Piper Chieftain from FDFMOD.

Now I got a new term I can use at my summer job at the Helsinki-Vantaa airport here in Finland ;P Actually, I remember reading somewhere that F-18 is also a very good plane when it comes to the ability to resist FOD, adding another reason why it was chosen for the FAF. I remember this one case in 2001 when a Belgian Sabena Airbus 319 sucked aluminum boarding ladders into its engine. Talk about FOD ...

Excuse my ignorance, but what are FOD sweeps? ;) There are many of these roadbases in Finland, in case of a crisis the whole F-18 force would be dispersed into these bases. I think Sweden has a similar system, right, denoir? I guess the STOL capability of the F-18 was one of the reasons Finnish Air Force decided to purchase it ...

You should note that these are only minor changes; no units are replaced with new ones. I'm sure that people are happy with BMPs that are in realistic proportions, and that the PKM bipod is deployed (and therefore more stabile when fired from a prone position). However, if we would replace the basic M2 east with the NSV, that would be forcing the end user to use our addons. I'm not even sure, is NSV still the basic heavy machine gun in the Russian army? About the campaign using FDF mod config - everyone should try it, makes it a lot more challenging, even if you are not interested in the mod and the Finnish units themselves.

You can find some nice burning scripts implemented in the armored vehicles that come with Kegetys' Winter Nogojev.

I don't think that's such a good idea, because in version 1.0, FDFMOD doesn't affect gameplay with normal east/west units except that the game has different settings for recoil etc. If you play the campaign, it will be just as if you would be using normal OFP/Res. I believe most of the users want to keep their OFP "untouched", and still be able to use the FDFMOD units / game settings. You can always choose the NSV from the Russian Federation Armor class, but I'm afraid it won't be replacing the old M2 east.

Finnish T-72M1 (36 mb) F-18C Hornet lands using its arrestor hook (27 mb) F-18C fighters operating from the roadbase in Lusi (70 mb) A video containing mixed shots from different units being deployed around Helsinki for the exercise (49 mb) I know those are big files, but I can't help it, I linked them directly from the FDF website. Well, at least the quality is ok ...

Oops ... my mistake But hey, I'll get back at you by pointing your mistake: the MiGs do not have random numbers ... if you look close enough and compare the aircraft in the taxiway and one in the hangar on the right, you can easily notice that they are mirrored numbers of eachother. I can also confirm it, because I got the MiG on my hd :P

I think both GTA 3 and Vice City have very good soundtracks. The radiostation system is very nice. A particulary good track is by A Flock of Seagulls, titled "I Ran (So Far Away)". Couldn't get any more 80s ... Everytime I hear this song I feel the sudden urge to snort cocaine and drive around in fast ships on the coast of Miami.

How deadly are the Russian SAM systems? I'm especially interested in the SA-12 Gladiator/Giant.

I don't think I have heard about this kind of bug before. BBSmith, when you got some time, follow the link in my signature to the FDFMOD website and post your bugreport in the troubleshooting forum. I think it would be a better place, as this forum is mostly for "standard" OFP:R problems.

I vote for the scary toy ... whatever it is (BMP-T?). It would make a very original addon; I guess RHS are making a T-80UD sometime in the future.

Jesus, I've been hyping this MiG-15 earlier in this thread but I have to say it only keeps looking better every time What kind of loadouts are you planning for it? I think it was able of carrying some big and nasty 240 mm rockets. About the L-410, is it a Czech plane? Never seen this one before, I think.
