OH MY FUCKING GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHICH MOTHERFUCKER DID THAT!!!!! FUCK..DAMN .....SICK SON OF A DONKEY!!! AND THIS ON MY 1000´st POST JESUS! Sxep, I think the moderators have logs of everything done during the mod-flags-for-everyone session ... Maybe you should PM one of them and find out who did it.

I think this proximity fuze sounds very good. In real life the warhead detonates itself when it's 30 meters away from the target. If anybody is interested, I think there is a BUK-M1 video at rusarm.ru. I wish the author or someone else would further develop the model. Adding the radar dome would make it look less "Shilka".
-
May I ask WTF is that picture in Sxep's post on page 12? Hope you did not post that yourself, maybe someone tampered with your post while everyone had moderator flags ...
-
I know this might upset you but it's September Another thing - does anybody else think that the video of the ground battle on NATO side was very boring?
-
Funny you say that...i tried to let them fly in a column, but two of the groups choppers crashed into each other everytime, the one you see is the last survivor Ha - typical for AI ... Another thing you could have tried to avoid is the telephone pole in the middle I don't think Vietnam had such a developed infrastructure, at least in the jungle. Edit: grammar -- "was is the telephone pole"

That's a very nice picture Mr. Burns, it would be even more spectacular if there would be a column of helicopters. Apocalypse now! I feel like installing the SEB Nam Pack 2 again ...

I agree with Shashman on this one. A solid trail of smoke would be fun, if it does not lag the game too much ... one thing I like about Strike Fighters: Project 1 are the smoke trails of SA-2 missiles. You can actually see from where the missile was launched because of the trail and dust being kicked up by the missile. It would be good to see this addon develop further. How about adding the radar dome? If you don't know what I am referring to, check out the previous page and my 2nd post.

Here's another picture of the SAM system. I think the missiles would look better if they were textured green/white. Maximum range: 35 km Maximum altitude: 22 km Missile velocity: 1250 m/s Missile weight: 690 kg Launcher weight: 35 tn

Here's a picture of a Finnish Defence Forces BUK-M1 (SA-11 ...) system firing its missile: Somebody make the model better and give it some spectacular smoke and fire effects ;) Hell, maybe I'll suggest this to the FDFMOD team. I still have this feeling though that the system is a little bit off the OFP scale.
-
You could modify the SA-7 a bit ... make it more interesting with a few special effects. Add a stronger smoke trail, and if possible, try to simulate the launch process better. I mean, first the rocket pops out of the tube, and when it's far enough from the person launching it, the missile engine ignites. Couldn't find a video of this right now, and i'm too lazy to google ...

Good work Aeon, please also supply some lsd and mescaline for the troops so that I can start working on my Fear and Loathing in Petrovice mission :P

What about having two universal soldiers fighting against a 200-strong fleet of Pepelatz? ;) I think the weird OFP addons are taking over ...

The Soviet-built BTR-60 series wheeled APC has served the Finnish Army faithfully over three decades. Despite their rather temperamental twin gasoline engines, cramped passenger conditions and cumbersome exit hatches the BTR-60PB is still in service in some of the Jaeger Brigades. Offering adequate punch with powerful 14.5mm KPVT and lighter 7.62mm PKT machineguns in a relatively cheap and mobile package it is widely regarded as a cheap, useful APC. The BTR-60PB concept has been widely copied around the world, culminating in the Sisu-XA family with some refinements answering to Finnish preferences. [bTR-60PB picture] -
Heheh, takes a lot of guts to put on such a show ... I was a bit surprised how they let him stay there, after all, the security is pretty tight and is able to catch naked people running across the field, but fails to remove a protesting runner :P
-
I think we need a gasmask addon to counter this. Shouldn't be impossible to make, after all, there are BAS rangers who suffer from the sand-in-the-eye syndrome when jumping out of choppers without protective glasses.

Well, during my visit to Washington I bought a 1st Cav patch that I attached to my student overalls Many people recognize it from Vietnam movies ... whatever, I'm not particulary fond of the unit and the whole Vietnam war, but I liked the design and the yellow/black colours. I also have an army beret from the Finnish Defence Forces. When we got transferred to reserve, everyone could buy their own berets for a few euros. As an extra, I also took some ammunition home. One Russian 7.62 tracer and one 7.62x53R sniper rifle blank. That's about it, I think ... Edit: tyop

Hmmm...thread had been removed. Pity...that was quite funny blackdog @cam0....no need for sarcasm Damn. Sorry, I posted that about 30 minutes after I had woken up after some serious boozing yesterday, because it was my birthday. I felt very curious, and was seriously offended when it didn't work to Shadow NX: Dunno about Bobby's PMs, but he's very slow in answering them. I had to drop a note to the CSLA thread for Maa to make him notice it.
-
Yeah, Leone, what's that? A broken link? Yes.
-
I don't understand why a few of you make such a big issue about Bobby posting a link to the CSLA thread - after all, I think CSLA contains quite a lot of addons for the east, which probably interests people who are into RHS addons. Maybe you RHS guys should post a few pictures so that we could get the discussion back on track ;)

Someone post some pictures! But wait, there's no light ...

Ok ... I just got myself a Palm i705. My mother brought it to my father from the States, but somehow he didn't like it and it started gather ing dust, so I had to save it and take it for a test drive :P I've been trying to google here and there, but most of the results I got were some commercial sites with little or no info. What I need to know is: 1. What's a good site for overall Palm discussion/support/reviews etc.? 2. Are there any dictionaries available for handheld computers? I study English philology, so it would be very good to have one in my Palm. 3. Is there a lot of free software available for Palm in the net? Thanks ...
-
Damn. I need to get a new computer for this game, I guess. The Grad battery looked very nice when it fired ... I wonder how it will look when you observe it from a higher altitude.
-
Very nice. The BIS BMPs are like ugly brutes when compared to these little beauties. Maa, could you tell Bobby to drop me a line, I sent him a PM a few weeks ago. Also, anything new on the RM-70?

Have fun Don't take any guff from the swine ... - an MP in reserve :P
