Somebody is retexturing OFPman1's F-4, check ofp.info for news, there are three screenshots too. Another nice thing: Someone is working on F-105, you can also find screenshots from the link above.

I think GFX707's site is www.fortress-ofp.com, I think you can find the vulcan and other very good addons there. About the ZU-23, I think it would be a great addon. We have the 2S6M Tunguska and Shilka, but like someone mentioned earlier, ofp still lacks simpler anti-aircraft systems. Besides, I think ZU-23 could be used in a lot of missions because it's such a widespread system. Also, something worth thinking about would be the ZPU series AA-machineguns, those would be perfect for Vietnam missions.

For anyone interested in WWII submarine warfare, Das Boot by Lothar-Gunther Buchheim is a very vividly described account of a combat mission in the Atlantic. If you have seen the movie and liked it, I suggest you check out the book too.

What is that machinegun mounted on the jeep?

That NSVT looks very impressive on those tanks. I expect the pack to be released when I wake up in about ... eight hours. Good work!

You can get it from ofp.info. A really good addon, a much more elaborated than DKM's AT-7. I have to agree that the reloading process is a bit mysterious, I didn't have no idea when the missile was reloaded. Keep up the good work!

Do the RPG2s explode after flying a certain distance? It's a really nice effect having RPGs exploding around your chopper. Those VC RPG2 soldiers are really nasty in landing zones, they have blown me away more times than I can count. Excellent pack, but I have to blame you for ruining all my attempts to study this week!

Great pack, the most complete addon yet released for OFP in my opinion. One thing though, I think the DhSK hmg has a bit too high armour values. I mean, I've been barraging one with ffars and other weapons and still cannot knock it out. Anyone else noticed this?

People should be more grateful that someone has the server space and bandwidth to provide the pack for us ...

Anyone else has trouble downloading it from deadsoldier's site? Could someone mirror the file?

Why RK95 manufacturing has been stopped? Any plans of including the chinese assault rifles which FDF bought for 2nd line wartime troops?
-
Uhm ... that tank is from Sweden, not Switzerland.
-
I agree with Necromancer, you don't see that many young females in the army, so it actually cheers you up a bit
-
I heard from an officer that the PKMs that FDF has are the newest model, I shot with one that was manufactured in 1997. Actually, if I don't remember wrong M in PKM stands for "modernized". I guess it would be a good deal to license and manufacture PKMs so that wartime jaeger brigades could be equipped with them, but I suspect that KvKK won't be scrapped in a looong time, it's a good support weapon for infantry brigades. Blake, make Kegetys do that boat

Damn, that's like really low profile ... the crew must be swedish midgets or something

During my service in the Finnish Defence Forces I noticed how close the church is to FDF. There's a church department in the army hq which organizes all the activitity. We had both lutheran and orthodox priests available, in addition to conscript deacons. Even the oath which most soldiers take (there is another version for those who are not members of the church) is vowed in the name of God. About the activities we had; I remember we had at least 5 times some service by the sea at our garrison area, and even few times in the forest during combat exercises. After all, I think those were pretty relaxing moments. At least you didn't have to crawl in the mud with your assault rifle for a moment

I was still in Guard's Jaeger Regiment in Helsinki, Finland when the first women ever in our regiment started military service. It's voluntary for women in Finland. Anyway, we had been there for six months before the girls arrived, so everybody was anxious to see what they would look like, especially because they were going to be staying in the garrison opposite to ours. Well, as the day of the new conscript's arrival was getting closer, we saw in tv that this girl was going to come too. She had been posing in covers of some magazines before, and somehow the tv wanted to interview her too. So, before she even arrived, everyone knew who she was. She said in tv that she was not sure if her physical side would be strong enough for military service, but she was absolutely sure that she could cope with it on the mental side. Guess it was a bad move to be on tv, because now all the conscripts, older jaegers, officers and civilians in the military area knew who she was, and therefore paid extra attention on her. She was there for a week, and quit then saying that it was getting on her nerves and she couldn't take it anymore. Some of the girls were maybe more motivated than her. My friend who served with them told me that they passed all tests with high points, were in good physical condition and often surpassed the boys.

100 meter from enemy, about 5 km from Lemetti to north; 21 February 1940. A Finnish machine-gun detachment guarding a blockade encirclement in the Lemetti district north-east of Ladoga on 21 February.

The periscope looks funny. Does it really have the zebra texture in real life? Otherwise this is going to be a great addon. At least as a specops / air raid target

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">We have some good photos of smaller vessels which could be useful, however focus is now on the ground forces and air forces.<span id='postcolor'> I think an Uisko-class boat would be better for OFP, probably easier to make and about the same size as the original boats in OFP. About air forces, any plans of doing a F-18 Hornet? I mean, now that it seems it's possible for aircrafts to fire AA missiles at each other, it would be a really good addon. Of course Hawk can do the same thing, but as we know, it's more of a training jet.
