Wow, this is nice! Are you planning to bring out even more addons? How about any scripts? I remember your first booby trap scripts, those were great!
-
I don't know the MOD url, but you should search ofp.info. I remember seeing a screenshot of an active stargate a while ago.

It wouldn't be realistic. <span id='postcolor'> Most IFVs and MBTs are capable of injecting fuel (diesel) into the exhaust system to create smoke.. And the russian vehicles usaly have massive amount of smoke coming out of them anyways.. :-) Just check this mpeg.. (5Mb) http://www.foreningenp5.com/movies/bmp1_1.mpg But I don't understand why it fires smokes behind the vehicle..<span id='postcolor'> The engine smoke exhaust system is used to cover other things than the tank. During my service in the army we were showed how a BMP-1 covered another "damaged" BMP-1 with its smoke system.

A good idea! There are also military versions of Learjet 35, used for maritime reconnaissance and intelligence imagery.

Well thank you desantnik I checked out that battlefield.ru site, it was very interesting. If someone is planning to do Russian WWII addons, it might be worth checking out, there were some interesting tank camo schemes for example. Also the interviews made a good reading.
-
I wonder why desantnik hasn't posted to this thread already, I'm sure he could recommend some good books . I saw some old authentic war films on tv today, does anyone know where you can get those? Documentaries on DVD would be nice too.

One word: Sick. What's the point of trying to prove you're "hardcore" to a crowd of people you don't know. How can we prevent this kind of events in the future? Less time on computer and more on real-life communication with other human beings, maybe?

Sad news How ironic that the shuttle broke up over a town named Palestine, and it had the first Israelian astronaut aboard.

OMG! Denoir seems to be the well-kept secret of the OFP addon maker community Those screens look great.

Ivan makes great textures. Much props! -
Great thing someone likes them Can these blueprints be used in modeling? I don't know. Anyone?
-
I'm not sure if this is as old as fas.org, spotted it at simhq.com, but there seems the be a lot of hi-res blueprints of different aircrafts on this site: http://win.www.airwar.ru/other/draw.html What would the mod makers think about these?

My friend lent me the Strike Fighters Project 1 a couple of weeks ago, and now I'm totally hooked on it. If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's basically a simulator where you can fly several 60's fighters/bombers, such as different variants of A-4/F-4/F-100/F-104. Unfortunately one cannot fly any Soviet planes. So what I'm asking, does anybody else play this game? We could maybe share some tactics. Just for the pleasure of non-SFP1 players I decided also to post some screenshots; check them and the official website out below. Strike Fighters: Project 1 official homepage MiG-17 takes a few shots at my F-4 Phantom II My F-4 Phantom II drops a warm shower of napalm on advancing enemy T-55As. An AI MiG-17 with airbrakes deployed turns another AI F-100 into a fireball

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Is the terrain all flat in this game? Just curious, basing myself on your pics.<span id='postcolor'> No, there's some mountains too, but the map where you can play is a fictional country in the Middle East, so it's pretty much desert and fields. I've been checking out some fan sites and there seems to be a Vietnam map and campaign in the works!

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">The initial US release of Strike Fighters was a very shoddy affair, what should really have been no more than a demo got a commercial release. Most of the problems should have been sorted by the time of its UK release. By all accounts though even the incomplete version won a lot of praise.<span id='postcolor'> Yes, I think the distributor wanted the game out as early as possible, and they had to release a non-finished product. The UK version was also quite buggy, with horrible bugs like AI not firing missiles and all of the AAA guns were missing. There was a patch released a week ago with a lot of fixes, and now it's much more better when you got some AA-2 Atolls coming after you. About the AA-2 Atoll, there is an interesting story behind it, here's a quote from fas.org: </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">The 24 September 1958 Chinese acquisition of an American AIM-9B Sidewinder missile marked the beginning of a breakthrough in the development of Soviet air-to-air missiles. The missile, fired from a Taiwanese F-86 Sabre aircraft, lodged without exploding in a Chinese MiG-17. The missile was sent to Toropov's engineering office to be copied, and the product the K-13, long the most popular Soviet air-to-air missile.<span id='postcolor'> Mr. Duck, thank you for your advice, I might try to implement some of the tactics you shared. There's just a few problems; most of the MiGs are actually capable of outmaneuvering the U.S. aircraft. They climb and turn faster, so it's pretty hard to get on their tail. Also, flying at NOE during CAS/strike missions is pretty risky when you got ZU-23s and other AA guns deployed around the target, I've noticed a few times that my Phantom's wings look like swiss cheese

I'm afraid that this is another addon idea which cannot be done because of OFP's engine limitations. Maybe it could be implemented through scripting? I would love to see more pioneer equipment in OFP!

Eviscerator, I simply adore your new avatar.

That's for sure one of the weirdest looking addons I have ever seen Yes, it looks like a Sputnik, heheh. Good work!
-
I was playing football with a guy who serves in the Utti Jaeger Regiment earlier today (how interesting), but he told me that a Special Jaeger squad has 8 soldiers with following equipment: 1 x NCO w/ RK 95 5 x Jaegers w/ RK 95 1 x Jaeger w/ PKM 1 x Jaeger w/ SVD Dragunov Hopefully this will be helpful! Cheers.

What kind of features will the Hornet have? I see a raised canopy, but is there going to be anything else? Some kind of missile alarm would be nice.
-
NH 90 Mr. Duck said it before, but there's another link. NH 90 would make a good addon, because a lot of European countries are going to use it; same chopper, different camo schemes = can be used in many many missions.

I learned in the army that most things related to coastal jaegers/artillery/navy suck big time. I'd go for army! At least I found it much more fun to practice rappelling and close combat than swimming in full combat gear. I don't know about the US army, but military police training was very interesting here in Finland.

How will the Molotov coctail work? Nice screenshots! -
http://www.achtungpanzer.com/ A very good site about WWII panzers and other armored vehicles.
