So far, I can't find a single thing I like about the PMC missions. Granted, I still love the series, but what the hell is up with these missions? Having played since vanilla OpFlash, and having purchased every bit of content I can think of, this is easily the worst to date, in my personal opinion. Sure, some of the content over the years has been buggy, frustrating, and sometimes downright broken, but... This is just silly. I guess I could understand if the pure intent was to market to the masses, or just lighten up the whole concept, but there are plenty of crappy games that do that (while running smoother). Oh well. I won't lose sleep over it. :p

Does anyone know a work-around, to fix the medic bug?

I get as far as about 20 seconds in. "4, heal that officer". "Roger." "No can do". Apparently I'm not smart enough to sort out the new training even. It just seems to bug at that point, and then I can't continue with it. I've restarted it multiple times, and it always bugs when I get to that spot (which isn't very far into the Team Command training). Can you confirm that your "Team Command" training still works? I'm almost curious if my install is broken, and I need to re-do it. /Steam. Manually copied the Arma folder into the OA folder, without over-writing any OA items. No mods running. Using BAF icon to start the game. Multiple re-installs now. Removed Avira from the system completely, in case it was causing an installation issue. I still can't do the "Team Command" training mission. The medic refuses to heal the officer. ---------- Post added at 07:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:21 PM ---------- Re-installed. Still bugged when trying to get my medic to heal the officer. I also noticed that Avira is picking up BattleEye as a trojan dropper and blocking it. So I'll disable it and try installing again.

I've been playing this series since the original vanilla release of Op Flash, but I just can't get used to commanding in Arma 2. I found that anytime I'm using vehicles in a more complex way than "get in that chopper", "all disembark", I get incredibly frustrated. I just purchased the BAF expansion to complement Arma2+OA, and I can't even seem to do the first real mission. I load up the Jackals, which is pretty much a PITA by itself, and then I try to get them to move together, but they just bug into trees, or each other, or one will just sit behind. If I use tilde to command all to move, half the people get out of the vehicles and start walking. If I just command the other driver, and drive one vehicle myself, sometimes he can stay with me if I'm just on the main road, but if I actually need to move around something, he goes back to driving like a woman, and crashing into everything around. I also find the command menu incredibly clunky, compared to what I last remembered (it's been a bit since I played Arma 2). I don't seem to get the numbered commands anymore. Just a bunch of mouse driven scroll wheel style interface options, which are horribly slow, and often I can't even find how to get the option I want. Is it just me? Am I an idiot? Did the interface change with the new BAF pack? Please help me at least get my vehicles from A to B. --bb

I'm having an awful time trying to complete this mission. My teams are constantly crashing into each other, or buildings, or just stopping for seemingly no reason and not proceeding on with the rest of the group. I've tried the mission by just using my single M1A2, and I suppose it might be doable with enough tries and saves, but I was hoping that it's just user error on my part and that there's a better way to go about this mission. It should be a sticky up top, and there should be an explanation in the 1.05 patch page, that if you used D2D to purchase, that you need to patch to 1.04 first, before 1.05. I wasted about 5 hours messing around with googling, installing over and over, wondering if it was because of my previous German version was causing issues, when all the patch description had to say was: "IF YOU PURCHASED THIS THROUGH D2D, PATCH TO 1.04 FIRST, THEN PATCH TO 1.05. IF NOT, YOUR MULTI-PLAYER MAY NOT FUNCTION CORRECTLY."

I initially purchased the German version, way back. I played on most servers ok back then, using the English patch. I took a long break, and when I came back, I decided I'd purchase ARMA2 again, but in English this time, to ensure no issues with server conflicts. I uninstalled the original, purchased my new version from Direct2Drive, and downloaded/installed patch 1.05. Everything runs fine in single player. I downloaded ACE2, and started playing online using the ACE2 mod. No problems there. I now am renting a server, and as long as I have the "checks" disabled, I can log in to my own ACE server and play with no issues. All seemed good and fine. The problem is, I can't seem to connect to any non-ACE servers. I use the default shortcut to try it, instead of my ACE one, and I consistently get "Session Lost" when I try to connect. I asked a friend to try the same server (he purchased off of Steam), and he got in just fine. I uninstalled everything ARMA related, and deleted all folders. I re-booted, and re-installed everything, and no improvement. We're both on win 7 x64, with almost identical hardware (down to the mobo, gfx card, etc..), and live in the same state. Any thoughts on what's going on?

It was probably Atari. They're the worst digital download vendor I've personally used. I had to buy ArmA again recently, because Atari doesn't let you re-download it again later. When I purchased my second copy from them, they charged me for their "insurance", even though I had removed it from the cart. I think their "insurance" allows you to re-download it for 30 extra days, which makes me wonder what would happen if your internet crapped out mid-download after a purchase, and you didn't get a chance to re-download it until the weekend.

Well, I really have no idea about how to set up a server, etc.... The ArmA server will run on a generic Vista x64 quad core 3.0, that will also serve as my gaming platform while playing. What I'm looking for is a basic description on how to set up a personal ArmA server on my computer that would allow for Warfare to be played solo, or with a buddy. My connection would never allow for more than a few slots (standard dsl), but I'd like to be able to run a host off of my rig for just a couple players, but have the AI going at it continuously. Maybe I'm in over my head, but I'm hoping that someone out there runs a similar type of set, and could share the basic steps on how to achieve this. Thanks, Barrier
