I'm have the same issues with desktop shortcuts ,I own retail box ARMA 2 combined ops and sprocket BAF,PMC and ACR . Switched all keys to steam and now two seperate installs (ARMA 2 and ARMA2 OA ) and a some command line files , why not one install directory like it was on the the retail install ? Or atleast have the option to install both combined !

I just transferred my retail arma2 combined op to steam and now have to separate folders (arma2, arma2 operation arrowhead) and wasn't gave a chance to combine them like retail box version does and I did the installation like what Dwarden posted is this this the correct way to install or do I need a combined ops key

My take on helicopter key worked on steam (found out accidently) but my DLC hinds wont

My brother just upgraded to vista 64 home premium and everything is up to date drivers and O/S, Direct x . Dropped in arma gold disk click on install and get a error msg(Not enough space to install application) his hard drive has 950 gigs free space . We have tried everything possible to install Arma gold nothing works. Fallout 3 ,Stalker clear sky ,IL2 1946,Silent hunter 4 ,ARMA2 and both Ghost Recon advanced warfighters installed fine . what ever publisher they go with in the U.S really doesnt matter but DRM with limited install's will be the issue to buy or not , and for me personally it will be a no buy I've already been there and done that with EA and not again . But if they do it like ubisoft did with Farcry 2 and you can revoke your activation when uninstalling I could live with that.

I have never really had any issues with ARMA ,But since 1.14 I have had 7 hard locks only in multiplayer first I loose sound on the first 4-5 shot from weapons or vehicle sound slowly disappears then hard lock . The only error arma.rpt file shows is NTDLL.DLL . After the first 5 lock ups I did a clean install of windows, updated all drivers to the newest and installed arma gold then 1.14 patch and have had 2 more since and this happens in MP only SP is great, smooth as glass sys specs: C2 quad q6700, asusP5B Premium Vista Edition , corsair xms2 ddr2 pc6400c4, evga 8800gt ko 512 meg, 3 WD 150 gig raptor (raid0) ,creative x-fi xgamer, sony dru-840a dvd-rw, razer copperhead mouse,saitek eclipse2 K/B,saitek evo joystick, BFG tech 1000 watt P/S, antec 900 case, windows xp sp2

Yes its starting to get that way to me but I'll give some more time . If it get as bad as what GSC did to stalker SOC patch release's I'll dump this and move on ,so far from all the years I've been playimg BIS games (OFP and add ons and now ARMA ) They have stepped up and fixed their problems . But after all the stalker crap and 2K's attempt in being the first game NAZIS of the world I'm starting to get a little leary of buying a new games till its been out for 2-3 months first .
