This has probably been asked before somewhere but i couldnt find it. How do u get a boat to unload its transport on a beach rather than in the middle of the sea. I set a waypoint but the boat doesnt drive alway to it and unloads off the coast line leaving the men with a long swim where they get shot to hell. Also could some tell me the forceland command for a chopper and the proper way to use it please

I was a little disapointed with arma when i discovered the physics to b the same as ofp. I was hoping they would have added ragdolls to the characters at least. Anyone have any idea why they never added something along the lines of havoc to arma?

in order to make a unit sit forever u need to use the playmove command. also units will only perform these actions using a .sqs script. What you need to do is find the action name u want(there not the same as ofp) i found them on this forum so check each thread relating to actions. Open the sqs and type. "unitname" setbehaviour safe "unitname" playmove "movenameuwouldliketoplay" To create a sqs file use wordpad then save it as "name".sqs (remove the .txt) Save it to the usermissions directory. then to get him to play move type in his initialisation; exec "Nameofsqs.sqs" Its easy once u learn how but u need to get the action list -
I thnk but not 100% on this but try grouping civilians with a west side soldier each and setting the soldiers probability of presence to 0 this will make any east fire on him. The place a civilian with no one grouped to him and when u want him to become an enemy make him join group of an east soldier with a presence of 0 also. I have never tried this but read it on an ofp forum i think it could work for u here

Ill try it thanks, also could you anyone please tell me how to find a units grid ref im wanting to make him stand on a building but i have no idea where abouts he is on the map -
please help is it possible to make a trigger activate by a certain unit. for example i have thress soldiers i want the trigger to go off but only when a certain soldiers walks into it. Is this possible and if so how do you do it?

im trying to make a non standard arma miss that i would like to work like this. the mission takes place in a medium sized town There is 1 blufor soldier his mission is to kill 3 civilians(informants) who are controled by players. The informants must compete against each other to activate 4 of a possible 5 triggers. The map is filled with civis and if the soldier kills a non informant he looses making it hard for him to recognise the informants. My list of problems are: .How do i set a miss to end after a unit has activated 4 triggers .How do i get the triggers to activate to a specific player only .how do i set points for victory at the end of miss i mean i want 10 points per informant death, 10 point per capture of trigger. . How do i find out a units grid ref on map
