@someBoy: I did try the mp demo, had no problems like im experiencing now. The mp demo worked fine Recoated the gpu and cpu heatsinks with paste and ran armA last night, crashed again after a while just froze no hd led just a stuck frame on the monitor. Computer is totally unresponsive at that time so i cant alt + tab. I swapped from silent to maximum cooling so i dont think that overheating is an issue as HL2 or ofp never crashes even though ArmA is a bit more demanding, still.. Main board is the same type as someBoy, ASRock 939 Dual SATA-2 with onboard AC`97 Audio Iv tried disabling the sound on bios so i`ll go see if it crashes..

Will do, thanks. I have some spare sachets of paste so i`ll re-do the cpu cooler + gpu cooler tommorow and tell you the outcomes. I do have Ati Overdrive enabled so i`ll disable that too while running ArmA, see if that helps any. Although its never crashed due to heating before on other games, i replaced the stock ati gpu cooler last year with a Zalman VF700-AL/CU Quiet VGA Cooler + ram heatsinks which seems to work excellent, its running on "silent mode" right now so i`ll try switching that to max too. someboy, have you tried checking the bios settings and making sure that Ac`97 audio is set to "Enabled"?

Hi, thanks for the suggestions so far Tried settings at Low, normal and every other possible setting and scanned for viri. I tried setting the page file a bit bigger and letting the system manage, still nothing. Defragged my HD's. It just seems to play along nicely then just freezes for no reason a couple of times it hasnt had the HD led on constantly so i think its todo with these X800's I see other people are having probs with there X800's too...

Exactly the same problems as you and tada... I have a X800 XT PE also, i dont think it`ll make a diffrence whether or not its an PE or just standard card. Im still trying to get to the bottom of my problem even trying the omega drivers so your not alone with your Ati X800

Specs: Amd Athlon 64 3700+ 2.2ghz Ati Radeon X800 XT PE (currently running Omega Drivers, latest) Crucial PC3200 1gb Ram. AsRock SATA 939 board. Sound Bog Standard mobo Ac97 chipset Well, having just bought the 505 version of ArmA from amazon a few days ago i'v had random crashes from the very start. Seems to run ok for a few minutes then occasionally the game will just freeze and the hd led stays constantly lit although no hd activity can be heard. Monitor doesnt go blank, just the last frame from the game can be seen. What could the problem be? I have tried the latest Catalyst 7 drivers and the previous 6.x drivers with no luck so i tried the Omega drivers today and there does seem to be a bigger increase in performance although i havent measured fps yet. Everything else imaginable i have tried.. mobo driver update, latest runtime of dx, soundcard.. All 3d settings have been adjusted.. i maybe though it could have been the ati overdrive affecting it, nope.. still crashes sometimes.. and could someone tell me what the "destroyed" texture should look like? I ordered a few days ago also but on 1st class and my copy also arrived today. So i paid 2.03 for delivery when i could have had it for cheaper with 2nd class? Doh.. oh well. Excellent stuff amazon, just installing now, its gonna be great from what i saw on the mp demo!!! Â

Ok, thanks for clearing that up for me, i wasnt totally sure if there was a way to workaround this or not, but i guess there isnt. I still have my usb adsl modem i have from my isp, the only thing with that is, if my brother wants to use the net and i want to host a server, then the router has to be plugged back in and my server cant be seen on the internet list  I only wanted to host a Crime city server anyway.. and it would have only been on for an hour or so, so really there isnt any point in hosting a dedicated server. Thanks anyway.

Hi all, I think i have about exhausted every single option with Dedicated server and its still being forwarded to the LAN list instead of the Internet list where i would like it to be. First of all heres my setup NetGear DG814 ADSL Router connected to this computer. The Netgear gives the server an ip of 192.168.0.2 Server config. <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">passwordAdmin="12345"; hostname="BOB"; motd[]= { "Welcome.", "Bla bla  - edit as u like it" }; MaxMsgSend=128; MaxSizeGuaranteed=512; MaxSizeNonGuaranteed=256; MinBandWidth=131072; MaxBandWidth=512000; voiceOverNet="false"; maxPlayers=6; kickDuplicate="true"; motdInterval=3; voteThreshold=0.33; reportingIP="master.gamespy.com"; voteMissionPlayers=0; class Missions { }; Now when i run the bat file it creates the server, if i go to the other pc in the room i cannot see the server on the Internet list, it is only seen on the LAN list, not the internet. If i click remote and enter the wan ip, server is still not shown. I even created a dyndns.org static address today to see if that would help! Nope. nslookup is giving me a dns server ok, so that isnt the problem. I have forwarded 2302, 2303, 27900, 28900 on the router and disabled windows xp firewall. Still always shows on the lan list. So basically what its not doing is forwarding the WAN ip to the list. Its hosting the server on 192.168.2 (LAN) Have i missed something out? Hi all, Is there anyway to customize the Nogova island? As iv heard of a few people doing it. I wanted to put in a few new houses ect.. I tried opening with WRPEdit but it cant handle pbo files  Or is there a noe.wrp out there?? and then i could convert it back to .pbo?
