Well, I think when you say Europe in your examples Denoir, you may have to omit most "poorer" Eastern countries like Poland, Romania etc. Social security there is anything but security. AFAIK So what even if you don't manage to lose your home/apartment, when social security is not enough to pay rent and food.

Hello, there is no real easy way to add brightness/lighting to the tracers. Actually it can be done to some extent, however it will lag you to bits as the number of light sources will just become excessive during battles. Regards

That would be spectacular, an AAR, however one that plays back in "full" fidelity would be great. (since that would be based entirely in the game engine, should be possible)

Yes you're absolutely right. I'd be playing on your AF server already, however as you probably know, AF is just making its way down into the EU now... and that's where most players I can expect to coop with will be. Actually rather sucks as I'll be a little busy in the next month, but what can you do, timing is never perfect.

Well, for me F4 is much better than LOMAC, if I want a dogfight, a flight model, and graphics, I've got Il2 Pacfific Fighters, not to mention MP and stability from day-1, unlike LOMAC's "issues" with blue outs or whatever those were. So for me, additionally modern air combat is really lame (well it is compared to WW2...), but it's the campaigns and intricate action and communication that makes it worth while. So... yeah LOMAC... yet another un-interesting pretty title for BN. MP Campaign anyone?... EDIT: LOMAC is like a rally car without a turbocharger... what's the point..

About stuff in a cockpit looking 3D then things outside looking like 2 images: this is normal, you need to do exercises with your eyes to learn how to focus and bring the 2 external view images closer together and then into 1. It is simply physically different then looking around in the real world, and that is why you need to "work" at it to focus the images. The rest, they should definately put a warning somewhere that refresh rates may be cut in half, and that you will get shadowing at high refresh rates. (phosphor is what it is...)

That's right, so far it looks like modding will only be allowed directly through LP, with a likely circumstance of denials and costs to the users... hmm. LP is acting like a dictator on several issues, trying to completely shut down the modding community it seems, but we have to wait to tell for sure.

I just wanted to drop in and give some more feedback: I've had some very positive experiences in AF in terms of the SP campaigns. I'm really enjoying the missions, the complex combat environment, and all the realism of taxi, takeoff, realistic landings etc. It's really a blast and actually fairly stable, I am less and less anticipating a game crash at the end of a campaign mission, as it doesn't really crash at all. Once I got booted to the desktop by clicking on "recon" but that was very very inconsequential. Sometimes minor hickups at some points in the missions with short freezes, but they are cured by using the "pause" option to prevent yourself from flying off during them. On a typical mission in the Balkans, I'll have sight of A10's F15's F18's F16s and various other friendlies working together in the field, it's really something (of course a whole lot of stuff on the ground too). And you wouldn't believe the kind of avionics advantage you have in the F16 over many other Soviet origin opponents. Anyway, short story long, you can get some serious fun out of AF, provided you don't expect the AI general to be like a smart human one. And provided you don't expect to have a normal dedicated server and a client on one regular connection... (that really needs fixing) So don't get me wrong, I still have the same view of SimHQ reviewers and this game being pimped to hell, but there are some positive things to enjoy. Cheers

I would not recommend stereo shutters. (that's what they are). If you ever want stereo vision, just get actual self contained VR goggles/monitor. Very expensive and the only thing that will actually look properly. With monitors having their phosphors at what they are, you will be lucky not to see any shadowing, image quality will kinda blow in high contrast.
