  1. i'd just advise everyone to disable the darn thing. if it bothers you, you'll get used to it quite soon. i couldn't stand tearing before, now i hardly notice it and the games run much smoother. cheers.

    ArmA -> Can't run game.

    hmmm...try adjusting windows' memory usage to 'programs' if it is set to system cache. i had it set like that and had the game crash after a minute or so. a longshot maybe, but worth a try.
  3. i had a problem with the english version of the game. i was able to start it, but after a minute or so it would just crash to desktop, leaving the arma.exe as an active process, just like for some of you guys who are not able to start it at all. i installed all the latest drivers for everything, but it still would not work. i figured it was some kind of memory related issue. then i remember that i have set memory usage in windows to SYSTEM CACHE. after i changed it back to PROGRAMS it works just fine. not sure that this will help everyone, but it is worth a try. go to: my computer/properties/advanced/performance and make sure memory usage is set to programs. i'm using winxp sp2 btw. hope this helps. best of luck
