That looks absolutely ace! - I'm amazed at this. Or maybe i'm easily pleased. I've never even considered Track IR, but this is impressive. Edit: just watched right to the end and the folliage looks great. Just hope that my machine will be able to cope. On the subject of leaning, has anyone seen anything to say that it will be possible to do in ArmA using a key combination or something?

Can't buy the game in Latvia? Are you sure? Or do you mean that you can't afford it? Or are you too young to buy it? Plus i'm really, really curious why you would want to play v1.0 unless for nostalga. But big mistake admitting to downloading it. Bad bad bad.

But we can't discount a Armed Assault 'Resistance' type thingy, i.e. a big old box release a year or so down the line so sort out a load of stuff. That would be cool. Back on topic, null vote from me - I'm not in a position to make an informed judgement. [x] Vote for the death to poll vote topics.

More than happy with my 3 year-old Creative Nomad Jukebox 20Gb. If it broke and wanted a replacement I'd get a Creative Zen, no hessitation. Remember potential muggers, always go for the kid with the white earphones.

whatever happened to nice suprises?

Theres my sympathy gone We're not here to do the work for you just because you can't be arsed. However, to prove a point (Search 'Steam' in ArmA General) Link 1 Link 2 Link 3 Link 4 Link 5

I'd buy that for a dollar.

This is fantastic! scripting commands, configs and a whole lot more! What were you expecting Praxtor?

So its not a Flashpoint novelty pen / mug / teatowel / sticker book then? Edit, actually, i'd really like a flashpoint sticker book. I'll trade you Guba for Armstrong. I really hope that this thread is not deleted, its been great fun!

well, the E in ETA does stand for Estimated...

Used to use Mr_Chance occationally named after the Ken Stott character in the film Plunkett and Maclean. Got a bit bored with it after a while though. Maybe it just needs a makeover or springclean. Duke Chance perhaps... Used to use Princess Breasts occationally for much hillarity in games that would ask you for the name at the start then constantly refer to you throughout. Excellent plan, Princess Breasts, you lead the way! Im much more mature now though, snigger, fnar, fnar. Nowadays, I use Ade_McC for most things, based upon my real name, Richie Cunningham.

This is the funniest thread that i've read in ages. I really don't know what people are expecting - it's probably a nice wallpaper or something. Remeber the flashpoint flash games that were released prior to flashpoint? So since I have no more authority on the subject than anything else, my wildly innacurate predictions in no particular order: - OFP cwc to go freeware to encourage new players to the genre - ArmA to become Medieval Flashpoint - Game 2 to become Rome Flashpoint - Wedding invites to all except those with warning levels, don't want no trouble like. Or most likely, Flashnews 101 - Comming soon!!!!!!

Yeah, it rears its head now and again. Linky Google video version in case its of any use to anybody....

No, read it carefully, it says that the demo uses a 'like starforce' protection but nothing specific is mentioned. But anyway, would a search for Starforce have been so hard?

The campaign has the benifit of introducing you to the various elements of the game over 20 missions or so and gives a good overview of what is possible. Feel free to give the single missions a play though - many of the official missions will tell you the important keys to use at the start of the mission. Most of all, have fun and enjoy yourself.

I remeber playing an Orienteering mod a couple of years back which was a great way to learn map+compass reading instead of just wandering around aimlessly. With all this additional outdoor good-looking scenery I hope that someone does something similar, or I'll have a go myself at converting some of the orienteering stuff for AA.

Its only 20 pages! For easy view, click the [print this topic] button near the top and then skim read through the lot picking out the important bits.

Nothing personal Codal, but I dont see how my comment is stepping out of the "roleplay" in any way. Okay, I'll rephrase it to keep you happy - 'Its a shame that Frank had to use the Cooks camera which doesn't have a timestamp mode. This would have been excellent for a time lapse set of photos.' Happy?
-
That is off topic and a huge generalisation, particularly with the range of 6600s available. Whilst not the newest card, this makes it a great budget card and though we could debate endlessly on exacly how good/bad it is, pure shit is a little harsh. On topic, photos are alright - notice that the've dropped the timestamp, which would have been nice on a timelapse set of photos.

Yep, Tuesday must be Williams day off. If the ‘elite’ “Royal Guard of Sahrani†are as bad as he implies, the next entry could well be 'More Drill Drill Drill...'

I've just been trying to figure out what the fouth box says. I know its probably civilian, but its not totally clear. Then I noticed the +20 in the West box. What do you recon that referes to? Number of men? Handicap? +20 HP Just curious.

I had the black triangles artifacts whilst playing the Bloodrayne 2 demo on my Nvidia 6600GT. I think in my case (pun unintended) it was a cooling problem and coped better after I installed an extra case fan and improved the airflow. But it cant hurt to have a bit of a clean / check drivers etc. Does this occur in other games? (Mine only seemed to occur in DX9.0 games)

Good point Chipper.
