wow, so just over 46% of the servers are linux run. Im supprised that the figure is as high as it is but i'd say its a pretty clear indication that a linux supported server would be much appreciated by the community.

Just to put things into perspective, just how many OFP linux servers are there compared to windies or what percentage would like to be, given the choice? Are we talking 50%? 5%? Is this figure comparable with other games?

Fun for friday. Please note that this is BETA version 0.34 but I will work on further development IF any major bugs or sensible suggestions can be incorporated. Please see the screenshots attached. Hope this link works! FAQ ---- I only have graphics card xxxx -will it work on my machine? - Yes! Thats all for now. Have fun, Ade McC Edit: Just realised that I may have infringed the copyright / trademarks etc. My fullest appologies. I can assure you that the engine is not altered in anyway and FADE will not be activated.

Thats just the PC Gamer (UK) text isn't it? I dont see any new information here, unless I am mistaken? Edit: which would make sense, as typing pcgamer into uk google pages links you straight there and im sure there is a link between the two (but what it is im not quite sure). -
whilst the eyeline is seen down the barrel of the gun in screen 1, there is no return shot to the head as can be seen in screens 2 and 3. Therefore, the soldier can see round the corner, without risk of a headshot. Thats about it, yeah?

From ECP Read Me

Thread hope this helps. I did read somewhere that an official linux release would be unlikely in the near future though.

Wow insanesniper - pretty future proof for a while i'd of thought. ( 6 months anyway! ) So just what Benchmark result do you get with that rig? (under flashpoint preferences)

The A.I. - its just so more inventive and unpredicable! My standard warm-up missions of 'Steel the Car' and 'Clean Sweep' became nightmares as the opposition took great delight in killing me in a variety new and unusual ways. Battlegrounds/Battlefields (can't believe i've forgotten the name) is now an immense firefight with stray bullets all over the place - watch out for those flankers! The big challenge will be 'Ambush' tonight - I am determined to make it to the beach, whatever they decide to supprise me with. You just can't fault those original missions and ECP has breathed new life into them. Cheers!

Much respect Blackblood, i've not had chance to test version 'c' yet! As a wizeman once said, '…If I were a woman, I'd want to have your babies. But I'm not, so a manly handshake will have to suffice. '

Wow, I was expecting 1.080, and 1.085 comes along! Downloading the core today, with an extra module every day. I presume that I will have to re-install the core each time I add a module, but I will find that out as I go. Video looks superb so congratulations on a job well done. Will this be appearing on any PC magazine disks in the near future?

What a fantastic Monday morning! Been looking forward to these for a while now - can't wait to try them out tonight. Cheers PUKF!

what are the file sizes of each video respectively? (anything too big and the IT department get suspicious)
-
Thats the most sensible thing i've read on here all week. It's speculation, but with a bit of thought and logic.
-
oooohhhh, curious! One ECP to rule them all perhaps? I'll keep looking!
-
May I then show interest in the L1A1 HMG then? I figured that you didn't want harrasing about the Warrior seeing as everyone else seemed to be doing a good job of it! However, I could be a pest too if you really think it would help

What we already know from OFP (i.e. not ArmA or OFP2): animations - can be changed; can be improved models - can be changed; can be improved textures - can be changed; can be improved etc, etc.... What is the limiting factor at the moment? - The OFP engine What is ArmA (OFP1.5)? - an improved engine! Hence, we have absolutely nothing to worry about. Case closed your honour!

Who or what is "the leak"? With almost 50,000 posts she puts us all to shame especially as she only registered in July this year! I only write as apparently '-=Nothing is safe from "the leak"=-' and I thought we should be warned. Somebody tell me we are safe!

Quite possibly , based on the jeep pic above.Or maybe the grass will be limited to the foreground to keep the processsor load down. Agree with the comments on the BIS units. As long as the base model has improved scope for development then everyone should be happy in the long-run.

Trouser trouble? Either way, seems to be working at this end. (for the meantime anyway!

crow-bar this in before locke! Quick answer # 1 - we will be told soon enough Quick answer # 2 - Recent thread was started by BIS asking for peoples current specs. (this was before the ArmA anouncement). People complained saying that they would upgrade for OFP2 and that current specs were not relevent. BIS replied that the data was relevent and in hindsight applies to ArmA. Hence, my opinion on this is take the average specs, add a bit and voila! 'What do you play Ofp with' Thread

Theres a very good reason why and its not down to cheaters. Battlefield 2 will draw the crowd away from Battlefield and CounterStrike:Source will reign over CS1.6. People like new + shiney but especially new. Thats why hardly anyone plays OFP 1.46 any more and im sure we took quite a few people away from Delta Force before then. Actually, does anyone know if the Delta Force Extreem (or whatever its called) has been a success? I've seen no mention at all about it on this forum which is odd as they have done a very similar thing to ArmA - taken an older, successful game and added up-todate shineyness!

Thats great news! It was the fact that the system was rebooting rather than just crashing to desktop that made me think that it was the cause. Why this box is ticked as default i really don't know. Sounds like eveything is okay in the meantime, just be warned that something was causing the system failure and we haven't prevented the cause, just prevented the consequences (i.e. the reboot). Still, if it doesn't stop you from playing OFP then hey!

Right click My Computer -> Properties, Advanced Tab Settings and Recovery button. Under system failure, is the Automatically restart box ticked? If not, untick it! Otherwise, it could be overheating. Changed anything recently?
