    These are very bold words to decribe the team that gave so much to the community. I advise you to watch what your saying.Anyway...: Fact 1: BAS_O.pbo is a standalone addon containg all the Tonal objects. Anybody can use on any custom island. So what's the problem? There's absolutely no point of releasing another addon containing the very same content. Fact 2: AFAIK, 3WX Team (represented by me) has the exclusive permission from BAS to redistribute Tonal contents. 3WX Team doesn't have any plans regarding updated version of Tonal at the moment. Fact 3: If anybody else makes an update to Tonal island, all the world class names (eg. BAS_I1) must be changed. This means all the missions made so far will have to be altered in order to work with the new island. Please contact me if you have any questions about the above.

    Farmland Island Pack

    I think you have to place it manually in Mission Editor (have I missed something..?). You can find it under Empty->Farmland Research Complex (2 pieces actually). I think I'm gonna setup a little CQB DM in there for me and my bro tonight. Oh... (spoiler...): I've spent a few minutes trying to open the entrance to the Secret Underground Lab... after a while I've realized how it works and I felt like MiG played another April Fool joke on me, just 3 days later...

    I can confirm the windmill-elevator bug. Happens to me too. I think it's a shame you used that ugly CWC pine forest. Why not use the RES one? The "walls" in the shopping mall could be thicker. Currently, the McDonalds restaurant is only like 1m wide. Also, there are some lighting problems in some places (smooth edges instead of sharp) but nothing biggie. Apart from that, very nice island, quite fun to explore and it has some cosy places too. I liked the whole swamp idea with weather&fog game logic, etc, but it could use (MUCH) more vegetation. Good work, keep it up!

    Just a quick update... I'm back to working on the island... it should be a quick shot now as a little remains to be done... but again, you never know. I never suspected it's gonna take me more than 2 weeks and wham...! it's a month already. News: - elevated roads are no-go. Sorry. Even though they look cool, they cause a lot of different problems so I decided against them. Maybe in OFP2 AI will be smart enough to utilize them properly, but not now. - I still don't know how to implement the Azan sounds so that they work automatically, just like church bells. Eventually... if I don't figure out anything else, you'll get the sounds that can be played via triggers.

    I beg to differ. See it as a challenge. It's like them cheaters in online games. You beat them anyways and you feel proud. Yeah... cheaters... it's definitely a correct expression for what they behave like. Damn AI take you down from 600 meters away when you can't even see them in some cases. Ok, let's end this ORCS-offtopic and just wait for RHS weapons.

    Plus those weapons ICP have totally screwed up config. Or actually only one thing: AI engagement ranges are probably taken from the moon (if you know what I mean ) - they're way too high and AI is way too accurate when using these weapons. It's aboslutely no fun to engage enemy equipped with these rifles. I'd rather wait a year for RHS own weapon pack than use infantry equipped with ORCS' weapons.

    Crouch-walking is possible and even the relevant pieces are present in cfgMoves.hpp, but the lazy bastards from BIS forgot to make proper animations for it. If somebody (like Sanctuary?) could make those missing animations, that'd be very cool.

    One thing that annoys me the most is automatic gear. Everytime I fly low it is down and it looks ridicolous. It only goes up above 50 meters and most of the time it's suicidal attempt to fly that high in combat zone. Please make manually controlled gear in the next version. Also... there're a lot of clipping issues (like with rear gear, upper air intake and exhaust) metal framings are not visible through cockpit glass... many other transparency bugs mentioned previously. The way the chopper sits on the gear... it seems wrong to me, too high... look here. The gun barrels are too long. Another thing... why R-73 AA missiles on a chopper? Why not some kind of AT missile? Just correct this flaws and it's gonna be a nice chopper.

    Monitors?

    Yeah, sure.... nothing is impossible, but some limitations won't be broken just because of time it'd take and the performance impact. Ie. DXDLL reflections make my fps go down from 30 to roughly 10-15 fps. I suspect that if the reflection were built-in into OFP engine that'd not be so bad. And that's not gonna happen until OFP2, I suppose. What you're proposing to do is not possible at all, because: 1. Using setObjectTexture, you can apply only .paa/.pac files that already exist on your harddrive. 2. There's NO screen capture scripting command that'd allow save its result to a file. 3. Even if you try to use external program that will make screenshot a few times per second and then convert it to .paa/.pac, that'll be applied via loop to a "monitor" face in the cockpit - it's gonna lag as hell. I'm not saying this to discourage you from braking any OFP limitations, but you have to take into account, that sadly there's no good walkaround to some of them.

    There is no BAS chopper with fuel tanks and rocket pods. And it has both pilots in front. Looks more like the BIS UH-60 combined with the detail of a BAS MH60... And that's a USMC HMMWV, so it's not Combat!'s, it's FischKopp's (I think) And those are VBS1 heli pilots in that chopper... Â Anyway, if you wonder how to lift CBT or FischKopp's Humvees with BAS choppers (in OFP!), you have to download this script and replace the one in BAS_MAH60.pbo. Also, it seems that Hawk modified BAS Blackhawk and several other choppers by weapon loadout selection script. You can download them from his site.     Custom Road?

    1. Road models have to be binarized to function properly. 2. ODOL->MLOD conversion is known to irreverisbly dammage some models, hence the lack of map icon. You need to make the road model from scratch. Not that difficult, after all it's just one face...
