I can bet dolars to nuts, that they don't sound anything like BIS sounds. For me BIS PK sounds like a turbo typewriter. Seriously!

<span style='font-size:13pt;line-height:100%'>Harbor Pack 2.0</span> AGS_Harbor_Pack_2.0.zip , 5.7MB (Right click -> Save as...) If you've ever tried to make the harbor with the old pack, you surely know it was pretty much impossible to position objects correctly. This pack fixes it by introducing whole new set of improved, AI friendly harbor objects. It's backwards compatibile, too. Comes with a demo island and a short WRP tutorial. ---------------------------------------------------------- <span style='font-size:13pt;line-height:100%'>Buildings Pack 2.6</span> AGS_Buildings_Pack_2.6.zip, 5.4MB (Right click -> Save as...) No big changes here. The updated version features a variety of new sidewalk and street pieces, also parking lot ground textures by phaeden (the ones from USMC Gaia) and a hospital building. I've also made some minor texture improvements. Enjoy. PS. Thank you to all beta testers. Please re-download the files, I've done some "last-minute" changes.

Yeah, well, can't have everything done as we want. :/ One idea is to place the waypoints at the corners of segments as those are always free of containers and there're also AI paths along the edges on all sections.

Incrased AA missiles lethality... lol... I'm strongly under impression that you missiles are way more effective than the ones using built-in game guidance code... at least judging from how many time I was shot down by the damn Gaskins. Oh well, the life of helicopter pilot is very brutal. Well done, guys!

This image is somewhat beyond 100kB, better fix it quick before mods come around. Or maybe post thumbnails instead, this would make the thread easier to browse.

Yeah, that's possible I cut it down a few cm. Sorry about that, I was trying to make sure all the objects have even dimensions (I mean errrrm.... integer number of meters). Hopefully, this will make aligning them much easier now. Here's something important for all the map makers using WRPTool. Many people reported that some objects are not recognized properly as ODOL files. This seems to be a bug in WRPTool. You can easily fix it by removing preceding "\" from object path. That's what at least worked for me. Eg. Wrong way: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">\AGS_inds\f3wx_factory.p3d Should be: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">AGS_inds\f3wx_factory.p3d If you're using some of the additional preview packs released out there, you'll also have to edit your objects.ini and icon_images.ini - same deal here, you have to remove the "\" from each object path. Hope this helps.

Well, so it seems this is what I'm after the most. Add the fact that Macs aren't 100% reliable either. I managed to hard lock one after 5 minutes on my first contact ever with those computers and I wasn't even trying to do anything extraordinary. For me the myth about reliable Macs went down the toilet. Well maintained Windows PC can surely be equally crash-proof. However, I agree with you. If this one solution you need works for you, why not stick to it?

It very well reflects the "philosophy" behind all the Apple products. Eg. if you want to upload music to it you have to use iTunes and no other program. I've also had some classes on my university where I had muy chance to fool around with Macs and for me it's all the same crap. Matter of personal taste? Definitely. I'm just saying about my own feelings.

Yeah, I know about this one, there is also a similar problem with those small plants in the hall, floating midair. It's kind of difficult to fix since it doesn't happen all the time. In O2 proxies are positioned correctly, but somehow, sometimes they get misplaced ingame.

This pretty much concludes what I think about Macs Edit: Hehe, another one... Seriously, I had an iPod. I had it for 2 days and then sold it to a friend. I simply couldn't stand using the damn thing. I don't even want to think about owning a computer made by that company.

I guess Laser would tell you the same thing about kneepads: 1. They slide down when running. I use them for paintball so I know that for a fact. 2. The problem about kneepads in OFP is that there's no 'knee' selection in OFP animations system, so the kneepads become impossibly stretched if they're where they're supposed to be. It just looks ugly. That's why I think Laser made a good choice here. PS. Pics look top notch. Keep it coming.

There're some more goodies coming next week. The sever thingy... it was suggested by commando84, inspired by The Rock movie... it's pretty cool, huh? You know... A quiet infiltration with Zodiac, you go through the severs and you appear out of nowhere behind your enemy back... What I suggest for everybody to try, is to place some OPFOR with Guard waypoint somewhere near the containers and then start taking them down. They'll go out to hunt you down in the container labirynth. OFP CQB as good as it gets, methinks.

You'd have to change the given weapon config then. Besides, SJB pack has some nice M14/21 which aren't just retextures of BIS model.

... or Interstate 76, anybody? Haven't tried the actual addon yet, but it sound like fun. I just hope it included this guy (how cool the early vector graphic was, huh?): Just fooling around...

A: OFPL Lechistan map (unreleased)

They quit. There was even an official statement somewhere and they released their unfinished models on ofp.info.

Very nice addon, love all the nifty features and the online manual explaining everything is a good read on its own. Good work.

Hey Laser, how about using Llauma head 2.0? As good as your soldiers look, this would make them even better looking?
-
If it shouldn't be difficult, why don't you do it yourself? DMA Libya has some nice desert terrain. I think there's also a desert version of Nogova in one of the FFUR packs. And there's desertised Malden in FDF Desert Pack... ... and probably many more out there...

I vote for anything, but default BIS islands. They don't fit the CnC scheme at all. Simple testmap would do it.

I've always known the compression is the source of evil.

retexture Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier 2
ag_smith replied to eddyd's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
What are you talking about KaRRiLLioN, I have never heard of an Agent Smith "repaired" version of the Nimitz !? This is now personal ..... I consider myself rightly or wrongly "caretaker of all aircraft carriers" LOL ..... I MUST KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT *left eye twitches* I can only confess I have nothing to do with any of the carriers out there. -
Hehe, it's amusing very time I read `No further update on this pack will be done for "lack of time and interest in it"` in some of your threads and then all of a sudden, improved versions pop up. Thanks a lot, mate, much appreciated update.

Handsignals Command System Released!
ag_smith replied to General Barron's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Alright, you've got the point there, although it wasn't so obvious from your post and using fwatch and other supplemental programs is just making things a little over-complicated... Well, never mind. No hard feelings?
