    Lan party!  (help!)

Thanks joltan. I've managed to test the server and test the net connection through the router and all appears to be working fine. - arc

    Lan party!  (help!)

PS: Â I may want to connect a player or two to the LAN from over the internet. Â There will be a Zyxel 641 or 643 DSL router available for the connection. Â Any advice or pointers to FAQ's or tutorials on how to set this server up? Â What ports to open on the router, how to make the server available from the internet when it's on the LAN-side of the router and what address to give the 'net players, etc? Thanks again, - arc [wuss]

    Lan party!  (help!)

Howdy folks. Â This is my first post here, but I've been reading for a bit and would like to say Thanks, especially to Suma, for a job well done. Â OFP is the game I've always wanted and the fact that we can talk to the programmers here is a real treat. I've been playing OFP since Day One but not online due to the clunky GameSpy interface. Â I remember the original GameSpy and longed for it again ([wuss] is my old Q2 LMCTF clan), then found the Eye from reading here. Â Hallelujah! Â So I'm back online, just recently. Next weekend I'm going to host an all-OFP LAN party here at my computer shop for about 10 people. Â I'll be building a dedicated server for the day and am looking for some advice. 1. Anything I need to know about the server config for the LAN? Â Special settings, tricks anything at all will be helpful. Â I'm putting an Athlon XP 2000+ and 1.5 gigs of DDR RAM in the thing under Windows XP so it should move out just fine. 2. I need a list of a handful of CTF and Co-op maps that are fun for ~10 people to play. Thanks for the help! - arc [wuss]
