 Pappy when i use make pbo tool to re pbo in the tools properties do i set pac +paa to compress or not?

Is it just me,or have i been using flashpoint for far to long.It's just that the redheaded bird in one of the pics looks sexy!

I also have the same sound card,and at first had the same problem!It took me a long time to figure it out but this worked for me.1 the latest driver does not work with flashpoint my driver is 5.12.01.0041.3(39b). Next i only have 2 desktop speakers so in cmi audio config (found in windows control panel) i have set up for 2 speakers.You set yours up for whatever speaker arangement you have. Then go to control panel again and open up sounds and audio devices under speaker settings click the advanced tab, again make sure this is set to the same speaker setting as the one you are using and the same as in cmi audio config.Next when you start flashpoint go into the options tab and under audio make sure you are using hardware acceleration.if this does not work play about with combinations of eax on and off.Don't forget the latest driver does not work with flashpoint!! Hope this helps as it worked for me

Just found my Y2K3 folder that "disapeared".I must have accidently draged and dropped it without knowing it.It turned up in my worlds folder.The moral is don't mess around with flashpoint directory when you are drinking beer

Weird thing happened tonight! I have or i should say" had" my old origional Y2K3 mod folder(old version) that as been working since the day Y2K3 came out.Just downloaded the latest version and installed to a separate mod folder renamed Y2K3v7.Everything ok i could run each version one at a time .That is untill today! My origional Y2K3 folder as dissapeared and with custom addons for my custom configs it ammounted to 900megs.I've just run a virus scan with my norton and nothings turned up.The only thing i have done is play about with the noe pbo so as to replace it with the new mapfact nogova witch i did but have now reverted back.Now i am thinking what the ****s goin on.It's a good job i have got a backup of my flashpoint folder! cos now things are back as they were.Go figure it for yourself i'm ****ed if i know what went on!! :angry:p s what's LOCKE_OrgobjMatDef pbo. pps forget the angry bit (hit the wrong buton)

Also copy wound's or else you won't see wounds with the new models

For any body who wants to change models in the config i recommend reading the tutorial on the Y2K3 web site! Once you give it a go yourself and get it right it's worth the effort.In fact for me customising the config and getting it to work is now better than playing the game! But having said all that i still have to ask pappy about more complicated things

Pappy,i can edit my own version of the PE config with BN880 tracer thing no problem!But on my Y2K3 config(not the PE one)I have this line on east west and res soldiers:-init="_this exec ""\ECP_Effects\init.sqs"";[] exec ""\ECP_Blood\blood_init.sqs"""; Now this is a bit more of an headache because i don't seem to be able to insert the line for the tracers correctly.As always your help is greatly appreciated

My favorite is the Y2K3 mod! You can even mess around in the config and change unit models vehicle's ect ect.Try it it's brill!!

Bobcatt666, i beg to differ on your opinion of Y2K3 mod! It runs ok on lower end systems with the "pe config"

Why not use a mod launcher? i use kegs,it's brill!!

Up untill introducing the tracer script i have had very little trouble with this mod!However now one of the worst bugs for me is when i try to play the single player mission Battlefields the screen just freezes just as it starts to load and i have to reeboot the comp,also in some missions i get a message at the top of my screen saying something like blaa blaa tracer script thingy not found. It is certain the bugs are connected to the tracer scripts because i also tried older configs without it and no problems.Just my thoughts would be to get rid of tracer thing because it's spoiling the mod

Yep i can confirm it using the new flash fx replacement unit mod with the latest config which includes the new tracer scrips is bug ridden,i to have had similer expiriences.So to cut a long story short it wouldn't be worth the trouble introducing the tracer thing into YK23.(it's near to perfection for me anyway)

Pappy, i've just read your post in the flash fx replacement unit topic! If i may quote you(well i tell you what, you finnaly inspired me to look into that tracer script thingy for personal use.. i gone done and traded out the laser beams for the way you did it in your config, and i must admit it is much more fun to randomly shoot at stuff now) Now i bet you know what i am going to ask you now Yes thats right how do i do it in the Y2K3 config. Pappy please excuse me for asking yet another question! I am trying out the new orcs rus infantry,and i don't like the leaves sticking out of the helmets.Having just read the new topic for these units i beleive it may be possible to get rid of the leaves by inserting a line in the east soldiers hidden selections in the YK23 config. Could you kindly advise me as to what editing i have to do. Cheers STE

Well this is my ten bobs worth(ten cents worth),I am your typical 41 year old player with an average machine and i for one agree wth all of pappys comments and thoughts.This mod for me as given a new life to flashpoint.Thanks and merry christmas
