An organized team for Addons and Mods .... That does not sound too bad. I think that volounteers could form such a commuity to sort all addons, make official post and handle the flood of all this. As I kow the OFP/ArmA community this will happen sometime in the future.

Youll get used to it although it takes some time.. remember how long it took every single one of to get used to the whole system of OFP ? I need about half a year to understand the stucture thoroughly and youll also master the flying when you create some trainingmission with those weird choppers. [bQMS] SOBR

This is awesome ! Indeed a cool idea.... we can easily meet up and have fun over a weekend with food and beer. Great effort there ! And to me it seems well organized... did you say we get our own bus picking us up ? Can we have the bus painted with the ArmA logo ? I'll try to be there.... and Im sure that many many people will like this idea and join aswell. Thanks for letting us know.

I think the download option is crap .... Just because we are living in 21st century it doesnt mean that everything should be done online... To download a 4.7 GB instalation. Come on people... a game belongs on a CD/DVD and this way you have noch 3 licenses and no problems. Id suggest you order the game from some source and consider this download thing as a bad experience.

Unbelievable... Could I make a very fast summary ? ArmA is released in Germany 17 days now... not full 3 weeks. And we have: 1. Two patches 2. Patches dont work for everyone 3. Buglist is endless 4. Performance is poor 5. Already different versions and interchangable problems 6. Unofficial patches, mods, whatnot... 7. Very bad distribution system 8. Copyprotection problems Aahhh.. I mean come on BIS .... people are already talking like : "This works in 1.01 but not in 1.02" and "1.01 was better than 1.02 because [...]" - All this is messed up. Compare the amount of people who were unhappy with OPF back in 2001 and the people who are not only unhappy but angry about ArmA. I think ArmA was a complete mess-up. Sorry for the harsh language but im quite angry.

Now thats what I call flying skills ! I could have done that in OFP but It will take a while until I can do it in ArmA. But whats more amazing... is how smooth the system runs with shadows enabled, good viewdistance, what not and even recording a video. I would have around 5-7 fps in that situation. Can you list me your system specs please ? Cause thats going to be exactely the components Ill be buying. Awaiting your post ...

This is bullshxxx ! Ive read people re-installed their windows partition to get rid of this problem. And I formyself spent several hours trying to help ubernoob out and it didnt work out. He had the 1.01 download version... ca.pbo had a problem being patched although it was NOT modified by no means ! So just in case I sent him my own ca.pbo of version 1.01 (DVD version 1.00 patched to 1.01) and we had exactely the same filesize and it still didnt work... And for calling people lazy.. I had my 1.02 running smooth, uninstalled it, installed 1.00, patched to 1.01, sent him the file and patched to 1.02 again.

Ive heard about this kind of problem in OFP before... happened to Bizons and HK MP5s only though and this was always (or only) related to people used illegal versions of OFP. My 1.02 works fine.. Im glad the issue with the M4 carbine has been fixed!

I will be uploading the 1.00 version... from there on you can update directely to 1.02 and leave out 1.01. Lets maintain simplicity..... what for the 1.01 ? Im not sure if I am allowed to host a file of the orginal DVD version ... and I cant do right now, because my provider has not yet accepted the upgrade of my server. Waiting for it to happen and then Ill upload, expect the mirror here soon.

Its simple.. the patch needs the original, not edited pbos to patch. It can only overwrite those... so what you have to do is to put them back up. From the DVD for example. Just make sure the original pbos are in the folder and the patching will run smooth. For those who do not have the DVD option, I will host the right pbos on the buyarma.com server in a minute. It is in your "My documents" (I believe this is what is called on an English system) ... there is a folder called ArmA and then there is the file you need to edit. Simply open it with Editor. - [bQMS] SOBR
