Aww damn.
-
That's gotta be the meanest looking weapon in ArmA to date.
-
Nice Eddie, that black A10 looks slick!
-
Just a few clips I took in game while we wern't getting shot to peices.
-
Thanks guys.

Does anyone have a different mirror for 1.08 plus?
-
Get in a clan that makes it's own co-op missions. It's so much more rewarding seeing how people react to your missions.

Nice one Carver, can't wait to see what you make of the island tools.

Chill out Wolle.

ArmA:Armed Assault vs ArmA:Combat Operations
Daniel replied to DeadlyAvenger's topic in ARMA - GENERAL
When the 1.08 patch comes out on Monday, all ArmA versions will be the same. I think Combat Operations has one or two extra missions for the A10, that's all. -
I recognise you from when you played with the Rifles or 23rd a while back in OFP. At least I think that's you. Good luck Argyll!

Autorotate on choppers doing emergency landing?

Thanks for the tip. -
Ditto, respawn kills teamwork and your willingness to keep each other and yourself alive. And any hard coded teamwork system would restrict the open ended possibilities we currently have. Get TeamSpeak, get in a clan. You won't look back.

I'm all for big areas in ArmA. The vastness would be cool. I want to recreate a fairly sizeable area of England. Mogadishu however won't ever be anywhere near 65% recreated in ArmA.
-
No, it's not propaganda, it's called having to spell it out for you. It isn't going to happen. Think of a different theatre of war that has smaller urban areas.
-
Ha, they were both good ideas. Gotta love the internet.
-
Don't worry about it. You didn't make him look like a fool. Any Mogadishu made for ArmA will be either a very small detailed section, or not really worthy of being called an accurate representation. Just imagine detailing the Mogadishu map we currently have in ArmA.

My first attempt at island building was to use the elevation indicator in Google Earth to recreate part of North West England using Wilbur. Very tedious, but the end result didn't look too bad. Obviously now I know of DEMs, and the Google Earth satellite image of my area has improved drastically. Can't wait for the tools. By the way, I was reminded by the picture of the Darfur crisis on page 1. If anyone has a look on Google Earth, the scale of the crisis is umbelievable. On topic, obviously we'll never get the world into ArmA. But I think if groups of people worked together on places that are important to them, we could see some detailed, accurate  52km x 52km islands of real life areas. Â

Brilliant! Especially good news for units that don't like using respawn. Guess now we have to drag our downed pilots' asses out of the shit.
-
Ooh, thank you!! *off to try* EDIT: Ha, was that me being a little too naive? Â
