Not quite sure what i'm doing wrong, but I can't add magazines for this gun. Using this line: this addmagazine "hk_mk23mag" ; this addweapon "hk_mk23" The weapon adds ok if you don't add any ammo, but I get an error saying it can't find the magazine, as if I've typed it wrong. Are the classnames definately right or am I doing something daft?

H&K MK23 pack (@ armaholic.com) Thanks! Â Last I read it's not possible to bind a light to a weapon without editing the weapon with BIS tools. Might be wrong, that's just what I gathered.

They fix what they can fix. If someone at BIS realises what went wrong with 1.08 to cause this bug, why not fix it? It makes perfect sense to release a hotfix.

Still quite a few points with the 1.08. The Chinook is still over sensitive. The Apache could be a little more sensitive, and now shoots green tracer? The AA A10 and Nation Apaches are much appreciated though. How about a slightly retextured RAF Harrier with no cannon just as a stop gap in the next update? EDIT: Could you also implement the suggestions made by Frederf on this page? EDIT2: Rockets work now. -
I think the random looking blue tape is cool, makes it look much more authentic! These are killing devices machines, colour scheme isn't always top priority. Can't wait for these.

It's not just the lethality of the missile, that's undisputed. If it can kill a tank with one shot in real life, that's fine with me. Whats weird is that a totally unskilled/unexperienced player can take one look at the controls and TAB his way to victory within seconds. A revised locking system built into all Guided missiles that meant players had to actually work a little to lock and kill targets would make skilled pilots a little more valuable on the field, and would remove the unrealistic monopoly planes such as the A10 and MAPFact Harrier currently have. Bit tired, hope that's legible. :P

Good points Wamingo, espeically about the tab spamming of mavericks and the real world consequences of blatting everything in sight with expensive weapons. Although it shouldn't be too hard for BIS to add a little more thrust to the A10, along with the other innacurate aspects of the flight model, and a revised lock-on system. The rest, such as the power of FFARs, the consequences of their use (ie limited resources, cost, and civilian considerations), and the amount and type of anti aircraft defences can be left to the community and mission makers. So I guess this should be reviewed in the next patch. Fingers crossed.

Not sure if this'll help, and I havn't really got anything to add that hasn't already been said. But I also feel there is a fatal lack of thrust available in the A10. You simply dont get the feeling that full throttle is pushing your aircaft forwards in-line with the engines.

Nah, I'd have thought it's just a case of changing a vlue in the texture tile? Or something as simple as that.

Might have missed the issue in this thread somewhere, but do you plan on making empty shell casings fly a bit further in the next version? And that M60/249 animation is awesome. Â

The Javelin in ArmA is still very dodgy. Look at the OFP community made Javelin to see how a proper Javelin should work. But anyway, this thread is dedicated to Man Portable Air Defence.

My comp grinds to a halt when lots of people are shot in a short space of time. Any ideas about making it less CPU intensive?

You could consider using setunitpos "up" for guard tower units too. Good effort, looks really good! I like the concrete fortifications on the perimeter.
