    Beta spamming

Amazed at the number of people feeling the need to remind Tankbuster that he isn't being forced to use betas. I'm sure he wasn't aware. This guy's concern is that he won't be able to help with the betas as easily, cut him some slack.

    New aircraft damage? Please?

Eh? I'm saying that if a helicopter clips a thick tree or building with the main rotors, that it would be better to simply remove the rotor disk (maybe with some flying debris spawned for aesthetics) and have the aircraft fall out of the sky, which would be survivable in some cases, than for it to bounce off or explode.

    Camp Fortress

Agreed, although good call putting the HESCOs in as blast walls.

    New aircraft damage? Please?

You're saying it wouldn't be possible to "simply" remove the mesh of the rotors and have the aircraft skid to the floor?

    Sharpe's Rifles Mod

Hmm, might have to get the RiflesGC lads playing ArmA again. :p

    New Behavior Mode: CHARGE

Agreed in a sense. I think that looking into having different factions react differently would be a major selling point for BIS's next project. In the mean time there are aspects that could be improved for all AI. But it would be awesome to see British forces bounding up to a target with the machine guns piling in the supressive fire, while Takistan militia run into the open, let off volleys of RPGs, then run back, popping out to take pot shots every so often.

    New Behavior Mode: CHARGE

Main problem that jumps out at me is the fact that one fighting style suits all. Until BIS add different doctrines for different sides, its always going to be a bit weird.
  8. Hi SNKMAN, Is there a simple way to stop enemies spawning smoke shells and flares? Looks a bit strange when fighting insurgents, and worse marks their position for passing aircraft. Thanks. :) Disregard, just me being a bit thick. :p
  9. Hi guys I'm making a multiplayer mission that requires a human-piloted Chinook to lift out a crippled Apache once the area is secured. I'm after suggestions on a good, reliable, easy to use hitching script. I was hoping to use the ACE2 system but its either broken or currently disabled. <- Our tester wasn't looking at the crate. Numpty. :p Any recommendations for scripts or small addons would be great. Cheers!
  10. This is a brilliant little script, great for dropping ammo off for friendlies without having to risk landing. Thanks!
  11. Aye, but it wasn't working on the standard ACE2 helos nevermind BAF. Would have thought they might have included it under fixes too. I'll get some mates together and check anyway.
  12. Does that confirm slingloading is working in ACE2?
  13. Luckily Mando Hitch still works fine! Sorted.
  14. Agreed, another point I forgot. In Takistan and Chernarus, you literally trip over villages everywhere you look. Some great expanses between settlements would be good. Also please add even a simple runway as far as possible from the rest of the map. Would be nice if aircraft actually have a time of arrival other than once the gear are raised. :p
  15. Even if caves are possible, they'd drive the already overworked AI nuts. Lots of flat or rolling areas with lots of hard cover like big rocks scattered around please! But along with that add variation, so some areas with sparse cover, some tactically advantageous areas. For example, Aiaktalik has loads of hard cover, but it's everywhere, meaning the only tactically important ground is high ground. Mostly, go easy on the mountains and ponds, the game's AI really struggles with them and it makes mission making a pain.

Haha, this. :p Oh, hang on. :butbut:

    War with Iran.

Just checkin you guys could do that too. :D

    War with Iran.

Why not remove the risk from ASMs by having US subs take control of Iran's coast and still pose a threat with torpedos and TLAMs? Can US subs fire TLAMs out the torpedo tubes for shallow waters?
  19. Good shout, thanks! Sifting through now. Quite a lot to trawl through though, if anyone has this isolated it'd still be appreciated. :)
  20. Nice little mission Stag, you've earned BIS another BAF customer!

Lets do bad review of ArmA II

Yeah, I can appreciate that. But if you need a hand, it doesn't help by essentially starting an "ArmA2 is a crock of shit" thread. "I'm struggling, please help me" would be a better approach.

    Helitank attack!

Aye, the Chinook just misses out. Interesting reading up on the CH-53E, didn't realise it could lift that much.

Lets do bad review of ArmA II

I have twenty five mouse pads laid out in a square on the floor, works for me. They're cheap enough.

Lets do bad review of ArmA II

And therein lies the problem. :butbut: Do you mean joystick for movement or for aiming? Either sounds horrendous.
