Yeah, I worded that badly. What I mean is, they've made a tough decision that will at least allow for improved physics in Arma 3. If for me that means a new PC, so be it. Still, it has to be MP compatible. And Ati is listed under hardware requirements. All is not lost.
-
Personally i'm chuffed to see BIS aren't limiting themselves to any hardware requirements, they're going all out to make a real blockbuster. Bring it on! New PC it is!

Quick, someone make an Arma 3 banman image!
-
Nah, too cliché. It'd be better if no one posted another thought until the announcement... ... see how well that went? :p
-
Glad I didn't take the bet on breaking the record then. :p Might have to pause the last minute coursework rush and crack a beer.
-
Ha! No worries. I just found it funny how MattXR took your bet but was ninja'd by celoush posting the Arma3 facebook link. Ninjas everywhere...

I lol'd

The image looks like a BIS Arma2/Arrowhead style promo photo to me. So it's either a leak, something to get us excited, or a fake that someone went to a lot of effort for only to withdraw it once discovered...

LOL Enjoy your early birthday present MadDogX! :p

Nope, it's a Boeing Bird of Prey [/offtopic].

Project Reality - WIP Discussion
Daniel replied to craig.turner's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I think PR are aiming to introduce a new gameplay dynamic rather than simply existing to plug the gaps in BAF. -
I don't think BIS want a mass suicide on their hands. It'd wreck their customer base.

Cant keep factions appart - newb question
Daniel replied to atre's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
That's the gist of it. After a while you'll be surprised you ever had problems telling them apart. Also check the colour of headgear on some irregular units, in some factions such as NAPA and Chedaki it's the only way to tell. -
Least I didn't get a stupid answer. :o And in that case I can see ArmAriffic's thinking. Why bundle two DLCs together if you plan to release more?
-
At the risk of asking a stupid question, what's RFT?
-
Ah, disregard. My inability to read strikes again. I'm currently in the "The Lemnos image is a shopped photo and the announcement could well just be Arma 3 and it'd be cool if we could keep the enigma wiki but it's not essential" camp.
-
Well, since the last couple of releases from BIS have really been content based, and with all this ToH development alongside, i'm hoping for some new engine features. But then i'd be happy with an Astute bridge fin bobbing up and down so i'm easily pleased either way. :p

High five! Good job cracking the date! :)
-
Since I can't find any cockpit pictures, i'm gonna stab in the dark at an NG Firebird. That would be cool to see in Arma 2 anyway.

Apache, Hellfire and Chickenhawk in particular are must reads for anyone with even the slightest interest in helicopters, and Afghanistan and Vietnam operations. The difference between the noisy, blood soaked, bullet ridden cabins of the Hueys and the soundproofed, armoured cockpit of the Apache striking. If you enjoyed Ed Macy's books, it's probably worth reading Fire Strike7/9, about a geordie JTAC in Helmand calling in bomb after bomb to keep his mates alive. [/offtopic book talk]

It's dead easy, don't post unless you're trying to solve the puzzles. Pick another thread to discuss to ethos behind what BIS are doing, praise/moaning included.

Technically they should already be overwhelmed, they already ship their spent fuel all the way to North West England to be reprocessed or buried. It'll take some clever boffin to think up a way to magic away all of this new crap.
