Psst, it could be any of the Astutes, even a made up one. But i'm more leaning towards Gaddafi.
-
This is easily the best suggestion so far. I had no idea games like VBS2 and SB could be linked.
-
The obvious one would be to teleport the player as he enters the airlock to a static submarine elsewhere in the game world. But to be honest, you'd struggle to move around an accurate submarine interior in Doom, nevermind the RV engine. It'd be a wasted effort. It'd be good for cut-scenes only, think AAN news room.

Sounds to me like there's a chance we'll see an improvement in this department, remains to be seen of course.
-
Sounds good to me, i'm all for inventory items that act as shades.
-
Just the smoke, and what i'm gonna say is a Shilka and the two Hind/Hokum/Havocs. There could be a hell of a lot more given the compression rate, I can't say.
-
Shit, now what are we gonna call it.
-
Yep, I noticed that about 3 seconds after hitting Submit Reply.

Can anyone name this rifle and can we assume it will be in game? I don't think BIS have previously used props that didn't end up in game. BLOODY NINJAS! :p
-
I'm not up on my graphics terminology, but if they can just stop headlamps and searchlights penetrating solid objects and hillsides, i'll be happy. I've noticed big improvements already, especially since BIS added torches, so here's hoping this continues.

I think a mission somewhere between Metal Gear Solid and the St Nazaire Raid would work here. :D Sneak into port undetected, shoot everyone, blow everything up, run away.
-
Fixed that for you. EDIT: Cheers. :)
-
Careful what you wish for. In all seriousness though, having a DLC(s) for all the maps dating back to Sahrani would be fantastic.
-
Without straying too far off topic, there are videos of walking around moving helicopters on VBS2. So it is feasible that BIS would add this to Arma 3. Though you can't walk around moving ships in VBS2.
-
Agreed with all of the above! Some have been added in Arma 2 through mods, some are general bugs are gameplay issues. It could be arguable that complex SEAD is outside the scope of the game, especially if it means introducing radar signatures for only one type of weapon. It would be nice to see most of them fixed or added for Arma 3.

I lol'd at chainsaws. Submarine hulls are designed to withstand extreme pressure at depth. The only way you're getting onboard a submarine, without flooding the place, is if they let you in. They're too cramped to fight on anyway, even tighter than the films in most cases. Ships would be a better choice, depends how improved the AI end up in terms of close quarter fighting.

Stick to the old system, add a really simple, plain English, step-by-step guide to the manual.

More news to come at E3 2011

Looks new to me. Three highly anticipated titles in development; must be a hell of a time to work for BIS. -

Armed Assault is showing its age, but i'd love to see Arma 2 and Arrowhead content in Arma 3 with all the features. They could call it a Legacy DLC.
-
Ssh, the Daily Mail might be listening.

I hope there are some big open desert areas to get lost in. I hated Takistan as a mission maker because you trip over another village, city or valley in every direction, even though it has some excellent details.
-
I smoke it at festivals when its sunny, i'm in good company and there's good music on. Otherwise I can happily get by without. People I know that smoke regularly tend to be jobless wasters. Not judging, that's just my experience. also This.

There's a wood by the beach. Everybody wins!

Can you say DLC? :p That's a good map too, love the location of the airfield. I guess at the moment we've got no evidence of BIS' terrain ambitions, besides that they at least include Lemnos.
