Okay, I finally had a look at the FFUR 2006 and I must say: I really like it, it has improved a lot in comparison to FFUR 2005 or FFUR Euro. But there are still some bugs, not really bugs but realism glitches, I dunno if this has been mentioned already but I'll list what I've found:that list must have taken you some time to create.

mostly I am interested in the time and day controlling the weather and environment of the landmass
If it could be controlled like that... You could script a map to be a different season everytime you played it

An idea struck me last night, and it relates to this topic.
Dynamic weather and its ability to change the environment.
I live in the Northeastern portion of the US, and I experience 4 seasons throughout the year. How possible is climate change in the OFP/Arma engine? I dont mean that you travel to a different part of one island, but rather having weather patterns mimic the 4 season and affecting the way some or all of the island/landmass looks.
I know that time and weather can be scripted to be random and/or change during a set time limit on a map, however it would be incredibly more realistic if it would change based on the time of year.
For example, imagine how incredible it would be to view Autumn in OFP/ARMA as the colors on the leaves change colors, or how open waters of a lake could freeze during the winter!
I think this would add an incredible realism effect to the game that could change the way games are developed!
Please consider even the possibility to create a mod that could do such a thing, if it isnt possible to put in the default game.

now having just watched it, I must say, aside from the console controller that I dislike, I am willing to agree that OFPE is just grand!
I thought you seemed a little clumsy working though the command menus, I wonder how much of that is controller related.

Look here, i play OFPE 3+ months, i have missions with boats, and there ARE waves. Hell, when it is storming you nearly fall overboard. (Also tides ... come back a few hours later and the sealevel has changed:)So, waves in OFPE mean waves in ArmA i should think. Proper waves. I don't see them in those pics.
And yes, real waves are super cool:) ... the immersion factor again is raised.
PS: I played a mission in which a heli was shot down over sea. The crew jumped and drowned. When i visited the beach later in the mission, one of the crew members was lying on the beach at the floodline. Now that is incredible!
HEY, in OFPE, can you interact with the water, or do you just die?

Things could probably change quite dramatically if they decide to make ArmA THE true sequal. It's already quite close to that so the step wouldn't be big.Oh please Oh please Oh please

i'm curious to know that if Game 2 and Arma are using the exact same engine, why are the Game 2 shots floating around far superior to the Armed Assault ones?

If this game can lure in some BF2 players, it will change them, for the better. Plus we can completely kick their asses with the power of thoughtful strategy.Their awesome lack-of-ridalin induced twitch reflexes that get them so far in counter-strike will wither under the gaze of ARMA's harsh reality.

i'll take another look but the smallest map i've seen is desert island.take another look.
many maps have boundaries that make it CQB, with or without vehicles.
