    ok, helpful criticism follows -some flags are difficult for ai to get to; ie, on top of buildings. -captured bases do not produce any vehicles. boo that! -error: scalar bool array something was noticed upon scoring a flag. I dont remember which flag exactly, but it was on the south island, perhaps the airport base. -no briefing? come on now. "...anyone who doesnt use Chris's OFP Editor should be shot..." was a comment I observed during this test. it makes briefings easier than boiling water. really was not a fun map to play, with the capturable bases so far apart and ai not cooperating with taking some.

    Using a sec comp

    add -window to the target of your ArmA exe shortcut so it looks like this... "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\ARMA.EXE" -nosplash -window now when you play you will be in a windowed mode and switching from ArmA to text files on your desktop is much easier. you will still have to exit the map to make changes.

    come on now, politics are way off topic, and honestly have absolutely nothing to do with the fact that BIS has no US publisher. I am hoping that a short time after the UK release we will hear some word of BIS seriously pursuing a US publisher. GET YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR ASSES, US PUBLISHERS!

    sorry Dwarden, that is not true. For me at least I have a Asus GF 5900 128 mb card, and I can select any video options, and I am only limited to certain resolutions that my gfx card and monitor can support. Of course, I would never select these higher settings because my computer would go into a coma. 2ghz Pentium 4 768 RDram 128mb gfx (@4x agp ) note: Quality Preference - Very High ; that is a bug that happens when you adjust your ArmAProfile file and change the 'sceneComplexity' value to lower than default. I gots to do what I gots to do to make the game run on my five year old machine, at least for another two months until I update it.

    although I am glad to know that somehow a 100 vs 100 AI battle can take place, I don't think the difference between sqs and sqf is so groundbreaking as to influence the majority of the communitys map makers to switch any time soon. but thanks for the discussion, I learned more.

    Repairing all buildings in a city

    I don't know of a tool that will do as you ask, but I have something to offer. USI_Zombie showed me a script he uses that repairs objects. I do not know where he found it, or if he made it himself. The code was applied to objects that were added to the map, and not stock island objects. I do not know if the island objects can be affected by this.     I use .CHOFPSE, you can make descriptions, briefings, overviews, and much more with great ease. Even though it was made for OFP, it still works well for ArmA.

  18. OT, but would you be the Special Ed I have come to know from Battlefield2? on topic.. Do poles disappear if you setdammage1 them? or do they have a ruin? I didnt see any 'pole ruin' object in the editor, so I am assuming the answer is they just disappear. Can you provide a screenshot of what Parasio looks like when made complete rubble?

    building class list

    in my 'buildings' class of units, you can see with this SS that I have many "house" units that are not distinguished. There are maybe 180 more "house" units in that list in my editor (with the G85 editor update applied) I can tell you its not easy to identify each one screenshot
