Thank you for your hard work and efforts to bring us an English version!. I am downloading now and will try this out, looking forward to it.

Thanks for the help. :) Going by my judgement, 100-200m on that treeline starts from approx where the little grey shed is about halfway down. So I assume I am right in thinking I just fly down that treeline and loose off cannon rounds into it as I go in a straight line, then turn around and repeat?. How often do I need to do that as I have been up and down it a good few times now but had no messages from Romeo 4 to say I am on the right tracks.

This treeline?. It begins South of the smoke, or am I far too close?. Am I supposed to look for a treeline a lot further South from the green smoke?.

Yes, tried it and it works fine as far as comms go. Once you get to the area of operations, romeo 4 contacts you and you have to reply to get the ball rolling and have the FAC give you the co-ords of the target. As MBot said, use the radio option in the menus along with comms and the reply option. MBot, really liking this mission so far. I've managed to kill the first targets but when Romeo 4 comms on the air and tells me to go for the next target which is "100-200m South of the green smoke along the treeline" I can't see a thing, target wise?. Flew criss-cross around the immediate area and looked South from the green smoke but I can't see any targets. Any hints?. :D

    Clean Cut (SP)

Just about to try the mission, will report back and see if I get the same issues. ---------- Post added at 09:52 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:52 PM ---------- Well, here's my take on the mission. Approaching the radar tower I got a message saying the convoy was leaving in 15 mins. I was far away from the route the convoy was going to take so figured I would hit the convoy and return afterwards for the radar tower. Got my guys in an elevated position in the treeline near a bend in the road where the convoy would be passing. Ordered them all to halt and I hot footed it down to the road and planted two satchel charges on the road itself. Legged it back up to join my guys in the treeline and waited for the convoy to arrive. Arrive it did. Touched off two satchel charges and zapped 2 of the trucks. The HUMVEE was too far ahead so had to resort to manually taking it out. Third truck was also still mobile but at this point one of my guys opened up with an RPG and got it. Then the trouble started!!. The odds stacked against you after you destroy the convoy and attempt to withdraw are rather over the top. Loads of infantry and a few vehicles arrive as well as a LAV-25. Then an enemy chopper starts flying around above. I was cut to ribbons within 3 minutes or so of destroying the convoy and attempting to retreat to safety in order to plan my next move. I'd suggest dropping the "counter attack" to an easier to deal with level. After all, you are ambushing this convoy without them being prepared for it. There's no way a load of enemy troops would suddenly appear within seconds and shoot you too bits after one of their convoys was attacked. A very nice mission so far, was enjoying it up till the point where all these enemy forces appeared quickly.

    SP Mission: Sweep & Strike

New version rox!!! Just played through it, everything went perfectly to plan. Had a bit of a "mind block" as I cleared the approaches then skirted around and tried to destroy the T90's before clearing Zelenogorsk and the farm. Obviously this would not work as air support does not get triggered until you clear the town of enemy forces. Would have been nice to be able to steal a T90 and wreak havoc but as it's an objective to destroy I 'spose that wasn't on the cards. :p Awesome mission m8, THE best SP mission I have played in Arma 2 to date. More to come hopefully!!!.

Find and capture Lopotev mission help

Taken from the Bohemia Interactive website :-
  8. This mission asks you to transport a Chedaki POW called Valery Pavelka to a safe place in exchange for his information. It says to take him to "Our main base". I've picked him up and he is in the back of a lorry that I am driving. I have the mission set as my current task but have no idea where "Our main base" is?. The objective indicator is leading me back to where I picked him up. Can't work this one out. Anyone done this mission?.

Find and capture Lopotev mission help

Apology accepted, no offence taken. :) However, your not listening to what I'm saying m8. I did go through all the conversations, check the notes, look on the map etc and the mission is still confusing at times. As much as I love the game so far, as I said, it's mission execution can be somewhat "open to interpretation" and be rather unclear as to your next, pressing objective. With all due respect, if it was as simple as you suggest then why are there absolutely loads of threads all asking the same questions on "What to do next?" in various missions?. We can't all be idiots. :D

Find and capture Lopotev mission help

Thanks for the assistance. It helped not a jot. The conversations I had listened to and took all info on board. Maybe the next time you are browsing the forums at 4.34am you might not want to bother posting useless replies to threads. I'm way past that mission now anyhow, but this game is hardly straightforward in it's mission execution. The amount of threads here asking for assistance is testament to that. Anyway, thanks for your input.

How can I repair vehicles in Warfare?

Not sure how to do this within your base either, would be good to know. I know that once you take Stary Sobor ( or Novy Sobor, can't recall which one ) you get an option that comes up that repairs, rearms and refuels your vehicle all in one go. Again, cant recall if you can use it more than once, although I think you can.
  12. I've not long built a base of sorts in the Badlands missions part of the campaign. I've been building up slowly and skirmishing here and there in order to get some cash together to buy more troops and vehicles. I have built a barracks and a light vehicle factory. I built a BRDM2 and loaded Razor Squad up into it, nipped off to the right to Vyshnoye and protected the village. In doing so, I used up a fair bit of ammo, both main and aux guns. How do I replenish this ammo?. I drove back to my base and my light vehicle factory and parked up next to it but I cant see any options in the menus where I can reload it?. Is this possible or do you have to ask for an ammo truck or something to move to your location?. Thanks. :)
  13. You guys are missing the point of my question completely. Yes of course many games do not dump all their features on you at the start of a campaign. Yes of course such features are slowly introduced to you as you progress through the game and campaign. Key factor?. No - The key factor is that the ability to switch between squad members was introduced at the start of the campaign, the player then notes that this is possible. Then, a few missions on, the same ability simply "vanishes" from the menu options with no warning or any indication that it has done so until you go to use it and you find you cannot. Again, going back to the "In real life you would not be able to do that....." thing, of course you would not!!!. But I was simply asking why initially this ability was introduced and then abruptly removed a few hours gameplay further on. I'm not questioning whether it is realistic or not, that's absolutely not the point here. Anyway, my question has been answered it would appear. So the ability to swap between squad members can be used for the first couple of missions and then it becomes unavailable. Not an issue for me at all, I just wanted to check if it was supposed to happen, hence my initial question.
  14. Irrelevant comment to be honest. Because in the previous missions you could switch squad members, just strange that all of a sudden you can't now when you get to the Badlands missions. Whether you can do it in real life or not, I'm really not interested in. :D

    Badlands Incompletable

I'm on that mission just now, just started it. I've just been given a mobile HQ and I have no idea what to do with it!!. If you need to skip the mission, hold down LEFT SHIFT and the KEYPAD "-" ( minus ) key then let go. Then type in "endmission" ( without the quotes ) and it will move you onto the next mission.
