For some time now I've been having a problem while running ArmA. It takes ages to load, not seriously ages but over a minute for it to start up. Once I'm in a mission and I pause the menu it takes around 40 secs for the menu to pop up, gear loadout menu takes longer, and then exiting the gear loadout menu also. Pretty much this is the only time when It does this. I don't know why, I'd like help though. I've played it on this laptop before without these problems present, I don't know why they are giving  me problems now. Videocard is 8600m(shitty) but I can run ArmA at medium settings. Done it before. I've tried searching and I can't find any topics. Bought VBS2 some time ago, it did the same thing to me, except that sometimes it will just flatout not start, so pretty much it's a 2 out of 30 chance that I can get VBS2 started, so might as well have thrown $500 down the toilet. Anyhow, my problem as of right now is with ArmA, why is it doing this? How can I fix it? oh yeah Re-install is not an option, I'm on leave right now in Texas, my copy of ArmA is in Fort Drum, New York right now. It's not my laptop but screw it, specs. CPU(NO IDEA how to get that) Nvidia GeForce 8600m GS Sound Card(Again no idea, It's integrated) RAM(3070 mb) I think that's what that is. ArmA English 15 beta DirectX10

actually a moment ago. I have yet to start up ArmA again though, i'll give it a whirl damnit, no success. Timed the load delay for the pause menu ingame though, 35 seconds. Slowest 35 seconds of my life.

Uh I know, that's why I said it was a shitty laptop. However here I go repeating myself, I've played it before on this same laptop on medium settings with a more than decent outcome. Now though, it doesn't matter what settings I have, it will give me the insane load times, I've tried it on lowest of the low and it still does it. You had me waiting all day for hopefully a reply that could help and then you pretty much tell me what I already know, this isn't a "Show you my rig" topic, never in my right mind would I bring these specs to that sort of table To elaborate: The Problem are the Load Times, has nothing to do with my specs, except maybe like cpu usage or something I have no clue about.

Yeah I believe Kurtz M40A3 is in the mod. I can't remember under what class, just look under all the marine long rifle classes.

Is there any way to get your ACU units individually in a .pbo or something?

Actually mortarmen have mixed camo. I'd call them support but far from desk jockies. And the mismatched camo is not to be a public release, big-rooney said.

Maybe an option would be good, as the beep is a nice touch. As for the sunglasses, regular glasses don't work with llauma heads(I think) so that's not an option. Unless there is some other way. Anyhow, it's not about being a nice guy soldier it's about what the troops where nowadays, I would think. Oh yeah and love the islands as always.

That is what it is. He's already released it, it's called Extrapackv2. It's got woodland BDU, Winter Arctic, and 3 color desert BDU. I got a desert one butit is for marines but i dontinstall the patch at that time.. And when i did installed the patch nothing happened. Not that i care anymore. I am wasting time learning to make addons. The BDU's are under US Men: Army(?), look for Rifleman(desert) or such

Try and see if it is in any download places like armaholic or filefornt or any other place. Can you please release a pre made skin that the army use to wear before the ACU was issued to them? As ACU looks cool it is ugly in a game. That's what the extra pack is for, BDU for the people that don't like ACU.

Sounds good Big-Rooney. I was more leaning towards some individual soldiers having mismatched camoflauge. I've seen soldiers with Woodland helmet covers and interceptor armor before, with the ACU uniform. Anyhow, I actually just enlisted for 6 years, leaving January 3rd(Fort Benning ), so I'm excited to play any version of your mod. As for the personal .pbo, sure, I'd appreciate it. FLIR infrared would be great and UAV drones and so on. Mismatched Camo Mismatched camo #2 And on that note, what about sunglasses? I keep seeing soldiers with sunglasses everywhere I go. Thanx.#3

The Infrared view I'm referring to is in this video I've been scouring all over the net looking for a FLIR view(like yours) that would show a Infrared camera when pressing "nightivision"(maybe). So far I haven't found anything Also, I believe there's a part in that video where it shows a top down view, is that a camera trick? I mean theoretically you can replicate a UAV drone that way no? I would hope so. The new ACU's look great, gotta love that you got rid of the gasbag, it gets in the way with the GRAA view. Also, all ACU looks clean(spiffy and neat) now, looks better, more unrealistic but it attracts. I don't know wether you would want to do it, but mismatched camo units would be an interesting concept, probably wouldn't play out too well. Thanks man, love the mod. ps: What the hell is a Green Army? An American here btw, so yeah no idea about stuff in Europe.

Can one replace the storyline islands with desert ones? How? If it's not too complicated, please help. Also, is there a way we can replace Army with Marines then? Would it be the same way as to replace US Army ACU with 3 color bdu's? The best ACU models I've ever seen are CameronMcdonald's ACU units, and if they aren't those then why bother. Clean ACU just doesn't look too well, unless in real life of course <3
