  1. *cough* ;) Having been watching The Walking Dead since it started airing, I feel inclined call zombie outbreak. :p
  2. Operation Flashpoint, and all its expansions Arma 2, and all its expansions Armed Assault, and Queen's Gambit Half-Life 2, and all its expansions Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Team Fortress 2 Left 4 Dead Counter-Strike: Source GTA IV, and all its expansions Fallout: New Vegas
  3. I wondered what happened to that scene! :D If anyone's at all interested, I wrote a (rather long, but hopefully extensive enough) review of my experiences so far with the PMC DLC here on my website. TL;DR: I'd give it a 7/10, and I have enjoyed it, but I can't wholeheartedly recommend a definite buy to people like I could with the BAF DLC. ;)

    Patch 1.56 Bug reports

Even though Dwarden has worked his ass off to try and give you the ability to combine them from all different retailers, I don't understand why you guys keep buying them from different services like Steam which have their own systems, and constantly trying to use Dwarden's workarounds, rather than just buying and downloading from Sprocket which is guaranteed to work with non-Steam versions... In terms of your problem SpetS15, are you sure you're actually running the DLC? As in the PMC entry is in your -mod= line?

ARMA 2 (OA) : DLC discussion thread

Thanks for the fantastic feedback! Everyone here should follow your example! This here, guys, is the man you should all look up to!
  6. You, my friend, are what I like to call - the shit stirrer. Stop saying BIS are trying to copy COD, they are not. They stated before they were going for a more "epic" and "involving" storyline with this campaign, why not have some cool new effects and mechanics, even if they might not be 100% realistic? They're only in the campaign anyways. Personally, I find myself enjoying these more original, less realistic campaigns more these days, like cheesus' Bastard Squad campaign. They're fun and refreshing instead of mundane but realistic, and actually tend to be more innovative. It's simply the guys behind the campaign trying new things, including Gaia, who added camera shake (even before OA was released), blood splatter and player-movable external, cinematic cameras to Arma 2 with Eagle Wing.
  7. You couldn't disable BAF Lite either despite having the paid-for DLC. I couldn't, at least.
  8. They are both described as DLC, DownLoadable Content. Therefore, for the time being, they are only being sold in a downloadable form. If you wish to have it on a disc then download the files and burn them to one, as Killerwatt suggested. ;)
  9. PMC Lite may never have been stated to include a lower-quality version of the campaign, but was it ever stated it wouldn't include it? I'm wondering if it was a gift from Gaia, and the other guys behind the campaign, to the community. Sort of like Eagle Wing.
  10. Doing the campaign cheat shows it contains many missions, but I don't know if it's all of them. Didn't check if you can play each one either. But it is definitely in excruciatingly low quality.
  11. I have no idea if it's the entire campaign, and I have no idea how similar it is to the DLC in terms of quality, but something is there.
  12. Woah... Check your Campaigns section of the menu. BIS included what appears to be the entire Black Gauntlet campaign in low-res (but still) with PMC Lite... BIS are not just awesome developers because of this, they're also awesome people! :D
  13. Slow download speeds are any different to every other digitally distributed game release because...?
  14. On the contrary, Macadam Cow, I have a really high FPS on Proving Grounds. ~60 FPS compared to ~40 FPS on Takistan.
  15. For those saying there wasn't a CQB variant of the XM8: Click for hi-res (1440x900) ;)
  16. I'm not getting that error at all on Proving Grounds.
  17. Lol, talk about trying to find an excuse for not getting it. And given the notes you guys found (thanks Noraf!) it would appear installing this won't harm my install when going to put the PMC DLC into the mix. :D
  18. Why would you play on older builds? Doesn't ensure addons will work, doesn't ensure missions will work, you cannot play online... Or do you just use vanilla content exclusively? Question that I think should be answered sooner rather than later: if we plan on installing the PMC DLC I presume we don't need to install this? The PMC DLC will come bundled with it instead? Will installing this and then the PMC DLC cause any issues at all?
  19. Why not download it and try for yourself? ;) Thanks BIS!
  20. Welcome to the forums. :) Please re-post this here, in the appropriate thread. Thanks!

    Wikileaks diplomatic files.

Okay, it's obvious many people can't keep a mature discussion going longer than a page, even if this is already a touchy subject. Thread locked for now.
  22. People wanted a better OPFOR for OA, particularly for Warfare, why not an upgraded, desert camo'd Russian army? :p I wouldn't be so certain about them being the enemy, though. All the other countries in that picture are known to be cooperating with each other, or under their control (the "Takistani-controlled" part).
  23. As I said, Second, it takes time, patience and practice. Never said it didn't take a lot of time, patience and practice. :p But that's really only if you're looking to do complex SP missions or campaigns.
  24. There will always be moaners, even if you were handing them a crate of gold. People would complain about the weight. ;)
