Guys, I have a GameVoice, and I have some profiles for some games, just not OFP. Wanna know why? Its just to tiring. Just think about it; Count the number of command you give in 1 minute, and just try to shout that in your Microphone. Ow, and add a mulitplier of 2, because the Recognition part in Voice is NOT optimal. And it seems real cool. It is, and it adds some sense of realism, but its too tiring. I still use my GV for strategy games like Sacrifice, or sometimes UT for Chat, but thats it. Its just too much of a hassle.

Hmm, I agree with the bumping vehicles. Also, the gravity seems a bit low. But most important, the Scripting It's just so depressing to see a mission fail because of some stupid failed routine.

I bought the damn game when I saw it Scooped!, Previewed and Reviewed. I got attracted by the fact that you can drive anything... And when I drove the Tractor, I fell in sweet, sweet love.

And indeed, it looks too much like its previous version. And the lack of multiplayer. And the Rambo-Stealth. And no squad to sent in the clutches of a T80.

Yes, I searched the forum for it, but to no avail. Here's the deal: Im having major troubles with the gamma/brightness. The night time missions are impossible to complete, due to the blackness. I tried several solutions: 1) Turn the brightness/gamma in the game way up. No help. 2) Raise the gamma in Display Option in Windows XP before I boot Operation Flashpoint. 3) Raise the gamma/brightness using nvMAX. Outcome: 1) Helps a bit, but still not enough. 2) I can change the gamma, but whenever I go into the game, it resets it to the original values (???) 3) Same as 2. OF just overrides everything. And unfortunatly, the mission I am in doesnt give me Nightvision goggles, so thats not an option either. Are there any start-up switches that I can possibly use? System stats: AMD 950 MHz 384 MB SD RAM Geforce 2 MX 64 MB RAM SoundBlaster Live! 1024 Direct X 8.1 Windows XP Professional Operation Flashpoint: Upgraded using Resistance CD Resistance: Version 1.85 Also, all the patches I download for OF dont seem to work when I execute them. I execute them, a little CPU and HDD activity, and nothing. I tried DL-ing em several times, and I tried a CD with the patches on em, but to no avail. Is it because of Windows XP?

Hmm, I got this cardboard (Is this the correct word?) DVD case, with in the lower left corner the word: Collector's Edition. No extra posters or whatever, though. But I didnt check the CD yet. Maybe some nude pictures of the development team

Well topic really. I was attending this big LAN Party called CampZone, and since I was one of the people constructing it, setting up the network and helping the visitors, I got - Operation Flashpoint - Cold War Crisis Collectors Edition - Operation Flashpoint - Resistance - Operation Flashpoint T-Shirt as a reward Shame that I already BOUGHT Cold War Crisis. Wouldve saved me money  Im really happy with the addon and shirt though.

Ive got the original one, but I didnt like it. Enemies respawned behind you, gamma problems, odd gameplay bugs, no patch/technical support. No, I wont be getting it.

First of all, AOL is E V I L. Second, it may depent on the location of Flashpoint1985.com... Maybe Americans have a hard time reaching it, since the data goes thru many routers (also known as hops) I think the maximum is 16 hops. Could be wrong. Argh, what am I babbling about, Im not good at all with that Cisco stuff.

Well, I for one have a BIG Gamma problem. If I did not use Powerstrip, I couldnt even play this game... Although I dont play online (I am on ISDN), I can imagine your frustration. Which brings us to another topic: There will always be programs that can bypass OF's settings, and people will still be able to "cheat". I dont wanna call it cheating though. Virtual darkness is always different. In reallife darkness, you are still able to get a good feeling of whats happening around you. And while I think OF has some great nightscene's, its still to static.

Hehe, I didnt even say what monitor I have But I have a generic one, and a dark one at that. Its brightness is now 85% of 100%, and increasing it doesnt make much difference. But as I said, its solved.

Or rather, shooting me down. Whenever I leave the forest, I get either A) Run over/shot down by the tank B) Blasted out of the bushes by the soldiers in the forest C) Hunted down by patrolling soldiers I read a few FAQs, which suggested I should RUN to DD57 (Edge of forest you are in now), then zig-zag to DD58 (Small bushy area) and then sprint again to the forest ahead, after which I get another Evac point assigned. (Already played the game once, but I cant seem to finish this mission) My problem is, there are soldiers in DD58, the bushes I should take cover in. And those enemy Hinds flying over my head arent helping my concealment. So, has anyone got any tips as a means to finish this mission? I even tried to run to the village nearby, since I saw a car there once, but I got gunned down by that tank. And when I took that LAW from my dead comrade, I got shot by the soldiers. So... Please help. Thank you, and good night.

Well, if I had a plane (which I DONT) and an Aircraft Carrier (Which I DONT, in case you were wondering)... The answer would be no. Dont have a flying license Ow... You mean, like, ingame? Ehm, nope, still havent gotten to that mission.

Its all in your minds. You're all crazy Never had the problem... I have an AMD 950, Geforce 2 MX 64MB, 384 MB RAM, Soundblaster Live! 1024 with the latest drivers (I think. Those damn lazy people from Creative never release new driver-food) and Windows XP Professional. For my audio output I use a GameVoice (Phuck the subwoofer and its 596 sattelites I have Opeartion Flashpoint (Version whatever-Resistance-upgraded-it-to) and Resistance 1.85 I do recall one time a really LOUD static scared me half to dead... But it only happened once, and now I that I have 1.85 it never happened since.

Aah, problem solved. I Downloaded Powerstrip. I searched again, using a different string. Still not perfect, but it'll do. And its a confusing program And if anyone of the development team reads this: Please, please increase the gamma and brightness sliders in the Video Options screen. Thank you.
