hopefully the hedgehog anti submarine weapon and depth charges will be added to some ships to help with the Anti sub capabilities. Wouldn't want your destroyer being destroyed all the time without something to hit back against those pesky subs with.:P -
as i recall bush wars have already made the round parachute for arma. perhaps you could ask for permission to use them to speed up production time and make less work for yourself :)

I doubt it would be compatible with INV44 as there mod is a total conversion so uses it's own config, bar redoing the config to match in with INV44 release i don't think all would work. as for liberation i can't see why it wouldn't work with it as it's not a total conversion mod so uses the same sort of addon configuration as 31st mod. As for the Americans not getting onto the coast of normandy. well lets that the navy will be pretty balanced by the time the release comes, and submarines aren't always as safe as you might think :P *Hint* *Hint* First to get it gets a cookie :P -

Well the fact that we have this new equipment being built. Would hint that fact for an arma release. I would imagine that this phase would be finished for arma before it's ported to ArmA II And work on the next phase begins. The massive Normandy map with that huge body of water is crying out for some large ships and sea warfare. Who are we to deny it :) -

Well i wanted to update this thread with a bit of news. Work continues on many new addons to the next release. including navy units worked by JarmenKell/Alper They include U-47 German Uboat also the British Destroyer HMS Onslow. Aqu also continues his great work working on logistics trucks and transport for all sides. More to follow soon. -

quick update (and a plea for some help :P) I'm still working on textures and optics for pretty much anything with a scope. everything with optics basically. well i am putting out a plea for some help with finding pictures of optics. i have a small collection now but have translated most into new optics to be used in game. i really need some more help finding pictures of optics from tank and tank guns. if you have anything that could be any help to me please send me a PM or comment on this forum thread please. at release there was activity but as more mods are released the popularity spreads across more then one. look for the resurgence once the new version comes out in the future though :) -

In terms of single player usage Yes it might work. the question asked was in regards to multiplayer. all aspects of ACE would not work because the 31st WW2 troops are not scripted in the same way. this is from what i know. Rip will clear up the technical side as i don't deal with coding. Rip is the man for the clear concise answer here. Also the shots are of T-34/85 which is a Russian tank so would not have been anything to do with WW2EC:Caen -

Well after a long absence i have returned good to see things not changing with the mod being questioned every couple of weeks :) if you are pointing out that the panther and T-34 from LIBMOD is the same as the T-34 and panther in the shots would you not think that the T-Roc from libmod is the same as the T_Roc who posted the shots :P @Coyle[506th PIR] 31st would not be usable with ACE that i know of due to the class names and such used in ACE. it would require a large amount of code changes for 31st to work with ACE from what i know. -

Hmm, That's puzzling, Also can safely say, I'm not having that problem. Everything works fine,Without any crash or error messages. maybe something got corrupted during the install? -

I'm pretty sure it is possible though i can't remember the command myself. I think Rip might have already answered this question in the thread somewhere. but if not i expect he'll answer it a little later when he see's this. -

Haha i think most WW2 Mods do. Forgotten Hope have some pretty amazing gear. as i recall in FH1942 they added more then 200 models to the game. Pretty impressive from a modding point of view. Anyways back on track. Panzer III looks very nice. Do you plan any Allied vehicles or are you mainly sticking with the Germans?

torpedoes will feature in Normandy, at the minute I'm not entirely sure if they will be equipped to any aircraft (and if so which aircraft) for anti ship roles. They should see action on ships definitely though. as for parachutes nothing has been worked on as of yet, but i know it's on the list for being looked at. -

God man, would you keep the mod questions to the mods thread? it confuses things completely when people are talking about others peoples mods in another mods thread. If you have questions about 31st post there. questions for [FF] post here. On Topic Sorry for rant [FF] crew recently heard you've inherited the burning sands mod and would like to wish you luck on the project. the work that was put in before was great and hopefully you will continue with your ever great standard. well that's my version i have made so far. if there is any difference with the one you have i'll tweak it. but the British tank sights for the 2-6-17pdr are all remarkably similar. Thanks for pointing that out. I'm sure it was a simple spelling mistake,Therefor did not require an entire post to correct him. -

How did you count this? I'm supposted to do 1 plane with 4 versions and 1 tank with 8 versions. If I'm responsible for 12 out of 30 vehicles I would be surprised. So maybe you count all sub versions as one. Well I have 2 more things which would make sense only in the Normandy phase (e.g you have little use for an S-boot (E-boat) in the Ardennes).That is if I could get some time to finish them, but customer orders of Belgian gates, trenches etc have kept me busy. whi: We have many OFP conversions to carry over as well \ maybe you forgot this :P a lot of extra armor for the allies. plus new models of Tanks for the Axis. Plus, Gurk is working with us now as well who's currently working on expanding the allies AT capabilitys and also adding another allied armour piece to the collection. i wouldn't be surprised if the next release will factor 30 or more vehicles. but it would be a tall order to get everything finished by the 5th. especially is theses 30 new vehicles need 30 new textures. thanks for the Panzer III optics Old bear. i'll work on making a version of them next time i have PS open. would the Firefly optics look anything like this? http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c157/Enigma-GFX/Optics_Firefly-1.png -

unfortunately the only thing i can say is that I've spent far too much time searching the internet for such optics. there rare at best. Google searches come up with some. E-books had a few in. other then that operational manuals are the only really definite source you can find them in. and there extremely rare at best. I'm heading to Bovington tank museum at the end of this month and going to try my best to get some optics from there. might have to work some magic though to let me in the tanks XD -

@archsceptic yeah it's true, it was a bit of a disappointment as they have 100's of models for all theaters of ww2. but we'll just have to do it ourselves there's a great community backing and OFP modders backing us as well. @MK1 i know the howizters,AA guns,AT guns we're in progress. but as for fixed artillery points or  large caliber guns I'm afraid i can' say. hopefully rip might be able to shed some more light on the situation. @Zippa. I'm sure if INV44 wanted a thread in the BI forums they would go and open one, they have chosen not to do so as of yet for there own reasons. I wouldn't go and post links to other mods in there forums. I'm pretty sure it's what commonly referred to as "Thread jacking" please in the future keep any links to other ww2 mods to save confusion in others threads, i wouldn't want people to look at those pics. then download the mod and complain about the units shown in the thread not being included. Besides, It really wouldn't be hard to search for the progress of INV44 on forums. I'm sure that he would have been able to do that for himself, If he found the motivation to go look for himself. Anyways. Back on topic I'm building up a nice collection of gunner optics that are ready for new tanks in the future. hopefully some shots of these tanks will surface soon......  -

I wouldn't put any hope on Inv44 being released shortly. from what i gather they are still working on it. and doubt they will release public beta. INV44 seem to like to release there stuff at a V1.0 state. Anyways If we really want to discuss INV44 i would suggest discussing it on there forum thread. Back on topic. I've been working on a optic for the 6pndr and 17pndr. i'll leave thatr out there for someone to guess what for. cookie for the winrar
