What everyone seems to have over looked is that the model was never submitted to us. and would have never been submitted to us. It was a Private use model from T-Roc that only he used. The mistake was made when it was posted in the forum containing Normandy Armor. Seeing a Finished model in the section I made the Media screen up. and posted away. The model however was posted as a reference pointing out the "Little Details" on the models and how much of a difference it makes to the final texture. Looking back into the thread i saw that and took the Blame for the mistake. T-Roc has left due to somehow feeling mistrust towards the mod for a honest mistake on my part. Was and Pederson have left on integrity grounds for the same reasons, They don't feel they can trust the mod because of the problem. However. We can never control fully what gets donated to us. People come on board send something and we take there word for it. It's only when posting that someone says. "Hey, Is that XYZ model" Then we have to look into it. If we investigated every model then there would be no time to even get work done. INV44 as you say, I remember the Stug incident, Although i don't remember the panther from your mod. But i remember a panther donated to us that was from a 3D modelling site. But that's neither here nor there. They were all dealt with,Removed from the mod and apologies were given. I know this isn't enough for some. Who want to see us Hung Drawn Quarters And then Stapled together and Crucified for every thing that comes up. well to be honest, This isn't the time to be Sticking the oar in. It's reasonably obvious that our mod is in trouble. Community mod or not. We don't need any more help unless it's throwing us a paddle for the brown creak were on ;). Enough with this anyways. What happens,Happens. An Honest Mistake, Is still a Mistake. And i Publicly will come out and say i am sorry for: 1: Confusing people with a render that was never for inclusion in the mod. 2: Posting the Screen without express permission from T-Roc 3: Making the mistake which could ultimately be the end of the mod, 4: Causing Trust Issues within the team which should have never Happened. 5: Finally Causing the Walkout of T-Roc, Waxbutter And MrPederson. Once again i Apologize to the community. To anyone I've inconvenienced. To the Forgotten Hope Guys,For the whole problematic thing. But Most of all. To the Fields Of War Team. Who i feel I've hurt the most. Now lets just leave this be please. There is no need to continue on with topic. We'll continue to keep the community informed no matter what. Thanks, Enigma -

I could see how the untrained eye can see that. There are obvious differences between the two. so lets not go jumping to conclusions. I recall T-Roc was having someone work on the textures for him. How do you not know that it wasn't Montoya provided T-Roc with the texture from the Cromwell? At the end of the day we have 2 Cromwells so if there is a problems with this (highly unlikely) we can just switch to the other. So lets not try to assume in others threads to start crap. At the end of the when you assume you know you the saying make an ASS out of U and ME If there's a problem it will be solved before release,nice try guys. Anyways I've taken the screen down and will look further into it. -

Yep i understand that. FH has inspired me so much. I just hope to get to the standard of skins they produce at somepoint. Oh by the way. The Cromwell is over 4 years old from OFP. :) -

Nope not from what im aware of. This model is T-Rocs and the texture was to match :) Waxbutter also has a Cromwell as well. -

Hi Babylonjoke, I'll try to answer a few questions you have while I'm logged on :) The Normandy release will come first, Followed by the Battle of the Bulge and the Pacific Release Some time after. Africa hasn't begun development yet but the frame work is there to start on. We have Several Ships being created by out excellent modellers and will be included in the pacific stage. Aircraft carriers and battleships included. Nothing to show on this right now however. This is something im not entirely sure on. I know it's something mentioned but at the minute how high on the dev list it is i don't know. Hope this helped slightly Enigma -

That was the Vichy French. The free French forces were part of the Allied Forces and led by Charles De Gaulle. But the Vichy french were led by Philippe Petain after the capitulation to the Germans. The Northern side of France was occupied by the Germans and the Atlantic wall was built to stop any invasion attempts. The southern side of France and North Africa was put into the hands of the revolution nationale (Vichy French). Hence why the first guns that fired on the forces were French. Not the Democratic free French. But the German Collaborating Vichy French. Just to clear that up. Don't want to say that all the french were allied with the Germans because there weren't :) -

Having a 'combat medic' seems a decent idea. possibly not like a true medic would heal wounds or whatever. maybe stabilise you to a fighting condition again? still wounded but at-least able to move and fire? After the battle you could return to a MASH medic or perhaps a field ambulance could/would fix you up back to normal? You can always pick up weapons if playing online with a medic. But for the purposes of the release i think it should stay unarmed. Medics Aren't meant to be actively engaging the enemy. If they do fire and kill. They gain points which makes them become a higher priority target for the other side (AI). Then they'll get capped ;D -

That is correct, But then it was for personal defense only. So were only issued a pistol if i recall correctly. There were several incidents of Medical corps coming under fire in WW2. From Normandy alone, Cases of clearly marked medical cars and trucks carrying life saving medical supplies being destroyed by enemy fire. Also fixed medical tents behind the front line (again clearly marked with the red cross) being strafed by German fighters, Killing medical officers,surgeons and other serving personnel. I think it's just one of those unavoidable things. non-combatant armed or not. Your in the line of fire. In a live fire battle zone. you may get hit. you may die. just one of the many horrors of war. -

As i recall medics in world war 2 were not armed, they not carry weapons and wore the Red cross marks to distinguish them from the GI. They didn't need firearms with them as under the Geneva convention they were non combatants and therefor shouldn't of came under fire. of course in the heat of battle many medics were hit and injured or killed by mistake. Some of the more fanatical troops like the japanese and the SS considered the medic to be fair game and would fire on them given the chance. But most troops would hold fire if they knew it was a medic trying to treat the injured, I remember i read about in some prolonged battles they negotiated a short cease fire to collect the dead and wounded from the field -

Hi Liam!!!. The Group problem has been covered extensively in the thread. Doing a search of the thread via the search command would have given you an answer without need for a post,But I'll cover it again to help you out with the problem The groups are not done at the minute in this beta release. So i would advise you try not to use them. Groups will be added in the version 1.00 release along with all sorts of other awesome stuff. Until the V1.00 release making groups manually via places units singly and allowing to auto group or group them together manually is the only way to go. Enigma -

We're currently reworking out entire weapons library to real world data. Our goal is to make all period weapons handle and behave as realistically as we can. -

Static Machine Guns have been discussed within the team, And we have idea's that we have worked out. If it's included or not in the V1.00 release i can't say. There is a lot being worked on internally, With universal systems for weapons,Ammo and Damage. Not to mention the cleaning up and optimization of the previous beta release. With a few new additions to the mod, Being added along the way. :) I would say that static MG's were possible, But not critical for the 1.0 version release. The public getting a stable and much improved mod from that of the beta would be the main goal. There might be a placeholder static MG to fill the roll,I Don't know. But Rip will provide a more complete answer later i would imagine. Hope this helps you slightly until then. -

My guess would be that he's been working on the British stuff before the mod was released with the goal to release it to the public? Found the mod release and used the units to man and use the weapons. In my opinion the weapons look great. And to have some of the weapons the brits lacked if great. The PIAT fits in perfectly with the 44 setting. The owen was more of a pacific and commonwealth weapon if i recall. The BOYS A.T rifle was obsolete in 1944 but did see alot of use early in the war in the desert against the lighter armored tanks of the time Panzer I mainly and the Panzer II (if lucky) so these additional weapons in my opinion are a decent boost for the British forces in the mod. it doesn't overly matter if there are a couple of things with more than one model in the mod. Vilas weapons were looking dated in ArmA i don't know how they look in Arma II but i wouldn't guess at much better. The more content the Better :D Anyways keep up the good work. -
