In the config file, I mean (duh).

Does anyone know how to disable AI (replacing empty slots) in a particular mission and/or server wide?
-
Same here.
-
Aye, and hopefully it won't have too many antiquated dependencies

Server commands like admin vote, map vote etc?

An excellent list of commands: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Multiplayer_Server_Commands -
Yes, it's the only ArmA server executable available so far. Which version of wine/distro are you using? I've tried running it with Ubuntu and wine 0.9.27, but wine just exists without reporting any errors.
-
Are you sure you're using the newly released executables from the top of this thread?

It's called politicians without their heads up their behinds
-
It doesn't work with wine because of the copy protection.

It's not just a matter of size, but also a matter of legality. Sending or hosting these files (let alone running a server if you don't own a copy of the game) probably wont be looked down upon with much joy by all hosting companies. Then of course there is the strange necessity of actually having to to install the game (either on a client pc or the server) prior to being able to host a dedicated server, which seems to me as a very sillily and archaic thing to do.

Stand-alone server binaries = sweet as honey.
-
Yes, especially the Su-25T. I've seen some in-game videos of "Lock On: Flamming Cliffs" that really show off the air to ground capabilities of it (excellent targeting).
-
A V-22 Osprey would be something I could drool over. OFP might have two basic addons but for ArmA I would like to see one with a fully fledged tiltrotor function and physics to match.
-
The EULA? Anyways, why not try to kindly persuade BIS to release standalone binaries for dedicated servers that can be downloaded and redistributed for free? You know, like most other successful pro-multiplayer games?
-
Saharani isn't too small though, is it? I would much rather drive a jeep into a C-130 and fly it to the other side rather than just drive the jeep across the whole island.

I think the realism will be "improved" primarily due to more shiny cosmetics... And possibly the upgraded physics.
-
I for one would not be especially impressed by a delayed linux dedicated server release. I'm also hoping for a "proper" standalone package this time around (rather than you having to transfer files from a windows installation). [ Hang on a second, when did they throw in this smiley? ]

Problem: Can't load custom missions. If I clean the config.cfg file and try to select for instance nogova virus which doesn't require any addons, it just boots me back to the mission select screen (without any error messages in the log file). Compy setup: SUSE 10.0, barton 3200+ 1GB RAM I've been able to run the default missions without any problems (vanilla flashpoint), but it just doesn't seem to like ANY custom missions (I've tried quite a few different ones). I've checked permissions, cleaned up the ofp dir, searched the forums... As this is vanilla flashpoint I'm currently running, it seems a bit strange. So, who will be my HERO?
-
You could always tell them to install your homemade "security patch" that overwrites their flashpoint.cfg files :P
-
I've just tried this, and it didn't help, sadly. I also tried compressing and moving the whole ofp folder to the server (and then running bohemias script, obvioiusly) but even then it wouldn't work.
-
Yes (or should I say, Keygety's packaging script did it for me). I gave the "Desert Ambush" mission a go as I heard there was a T80 in it. Yes, there is a T80 in the mission, but it is empty. Shortly after I had discovered this I put an empty T80 into a small "mission" and it worked fine. It would seem like an AI problem, but that wouldn't explain why the server rejects a simple mission with a wooden fence...
-
I've done some testing... Missions with default infantry and vehicles (I tested the BRDM) seem to work fine. I tried adding a T80, and then it stopped working. The mission also refuses to load if it contains a wooden fence. I'm quite... Stupified by this problem - Some pre-resistance stuff doesn't seem to work while most (if not all) post-resistance models and objects seem to work (such as the BRDM).
