Yes i have the same problem as amos, and: 1- i had 1.29 so i reinstalled all (1.00-1.20-1.30) two times.The second time i even used Regcleaner to clean the registry.I must say that i have the two separate files (1.30(10 MB) and weapons 1.3(12 MB)) but its suppose is the same as the Upgrade 1.3(32MB) 2-i have windows 98SE 320 MB ram Sb Live Value Tnt 16 MB (use CT 6892 creative drivers) 4 in 1 VIA drivers 3-I set the game in advanced preferences at minimum (as the help file says):no shadows, 1 ligths,etc..and 800x600x16 bit colour. I think a lot of people have this problem and they simply dont use the laser, but plz if you have this problem write here and maybe we would be listen.
