    CTD Problem

I installed the 1.15b patch and the latest catalyst drivers. The game still keeps crashing after 10 - 15 minutes or so. I now also see weird artifacts from time to time (they look like the graphics card is broken, this, however, is not the case). Any Ideas?

    CTD Problem

I will try the 1.15b patch (didn't even know that it exists) and new Catalyst drivers. Btw, i said nothing about flashing textures. I will let you know if it helps. thanks

    CTD Problem

Hi all. ArmA keeps crashing to the Desktop. I can play for ca. 10 - 20 mins before it happens. There is no error message and no icon at the bottom of the screen. Nevertheless, when pressing alt +del+ ctrl, ArmA.exe is shown as an active process taking some 200-300Mb of system memory...? I installed ArmA + Queens gambit and then patched the game from 1.08 to 1.14. My system info is found in my signature. any ideas?

    Lawsuit against cheating scum?

As I see this, the whole thing isn't just about crashing servers. The game, Armed Assault, is designed to entertain. BI are (or should be) interested in the longevity of their product. Fun and entertainment are features of this product. Cheaters therefore attack the product in an act of virtual vandalism causing BI to loose money. The extension for ArmA propably would sell better if players where not that frustrated about cheaters in Onlinegaming. Remember that there are many people who buy games mainly for the MP part. How hard you can hit the cheaters is mainly a question of where you bring up the charge against them and how good your lawyer is.

    Armed Assault..

I think I will love the game when it is patched into a playable state. The first mission I tried was the one where you have to destroy a convoy with your Helicopter. The first thing I noticed was that the hellfire missiles are nearly useless. 70-80 % of the time they wont hit the target. After approximately 20+ crashes with the heli I finally destroyed the convoy. Guess what: nothing happened!!!! No target left but the mission can't be finished, great.... I may give my vote after the next patch....

    ArmA Progress Updates

Thats a great question. Thanks for asking for me. Â I hope the Steyr AUG will find it's way to ArmA . When I was serving in the army I called my AUG "Gertrude" .

    SLi Codies logo backwards

Display corruptions can appear with newer Nvidia drivers. My Codemasters Logo was also corrupted. Swithching to older drivers may Help. 78.03 work fine for me.

    Release....

Yeah, some info would be appreciateted indeed. No news is indeed bad news when considering that the release of ArmA was scheduled for Q4/ 2004.

Disabling object shadows hardly improves performance . In the training mission I still get about 14-20 frames which is not enough. I can only hope that ArmA will make use of multicore CPU's  . Hopefully it will come out this Year... Edit: I just found out that turning off reflections in the dxdll setup gives me a big performance boost . I don't know why it decreases performance that much on my new gfx card but I reached a point where I don't care about this anymore. I guess I can start the campaign now.

Terrain detail already is at "normal". Driver Version is 78.03. I tried the mission "cleansweep" and I had between 38 and 80 FPS (1,3k visibility) but when starting the 1985 campaign my framerate drops to 13 and less (900m view). Edit: I just tried the mission "lone wolf": (visibility 1,5k) and I get between 23 and 39 FPS. So far it seems Framerates are very mission dependent. I would love to play the campaign but with 13 FPS and < it's unplayable .

Step one helped. Thank you very much. Performance sucks nontheless. 12 and less FPS at 900m viewing distance? My old PC got more, something is wrong here .

I tried different swap file settings (including the max 1000MB suggested in various threads).  When playing offline I always close all other applications including Firewall, Antivirus  software etc. I have already checked for Viruses, Sypyware etc. but found nothing and because my whole System was set up 3 weeks ago I'm sure that there are no dead drivers that mess things up.  So I have no idea what application could hold the memory. Thanks anyways .

The first thing I did when I got authorized was to perform a search. Anyways, I read the topics again, this time more carefully. And I tried everything suggested by the others and guess what: OPF keeps crashing with the same damn message.

Like the topic title says: Everytime I try to start a mission (including the campaigns) OPF crashes to the desktop and shows the following error message: I've tried -nomap with no success as you can see on this image: I have Operation Flashpoint GOTY patched to 1.96. The only mod I have installed atm is the dxdll, but with or without it I have the same problem . My rig: see signature Please help! EDIT: I have two swap files of 1536- 3048MB each
