hmmmm, the first attempt came out rather poorly. i recently got a Geforce4 and hooked it up to my VCR the quality of the Video Tape is very good but when i sent it back to my computer to put in mpeg format it came out looking quite poor. I will continue to endevor and will sort it all out.

Just because a government may be screwed up does not mean the citizens are, So you can hate my government but just don't hate me because i was born and live here. Hell i didnt even vote for him. How much longer until 2004?

John Keegan wrote a very good book called "The Second World War" it starts off as all good books about WW2 should start at, the end of WW1.

It has to be correctible to 20/20 i believe.

I am putting the final touches on a mission that is a joint spec. ops/LGB Bomber mission. I put both the LGB A-10 and the MAV A-10. its a night mission and its hella-fun. I will post a link when completed.

Avon, I will be sending you Silent Night, Deadly Night in AVI format over the weekend so once ya get it you can trash the one in .pbo format.

Only Officers and Warrant Officers are allowed to fly. So either get a College Degree or be some kind of super soldier in Boot Camp and they may send you to OCS (Officers Candidate School) they send about 2-3 from every class. But why fly when you can jump out of perfectly good airplanes like i did?

Darklight, You took the words right out of my mouth. it was an "ALLIED" Victory not any individual countries victory. People will always feel a need to get bragadocious about what there country may or may not have done but i know if you ask the vets who fought in it they would say it was a victory for the allies. And someone really needs to tell Steven Spielberg that WW2 was more than just America v Germany. I swear that man has never acknowledged any other countries participation in the war. and all it does is give young people a severly distorted view of history.

I have used createunit before but never to make every single unit on the map. I use the Advanced mission editor, but i could adapt and work differently. Have you tried any of the maps i have made? i may not be an "expert" scripter but i do have an eye and a knack for making Entertaining & Humerous missions or Challenging and realistic ones. a quick list. Return of Guba - mainly just a humerous (austin powers meets james bond) mission Multi-Player: Hill 420 (soon to be an expanded on SP map) EZ Ryders (a biker mission i made when res. was first released) Chill 'em All (my first mission *sniff *tear) anyway they are all available at www.flashpointarena.com so take a look and let me know what you think. I just want to clarify my "Crash Hawk" remark. I didnt mean to imply anything about the pilots but the helo itself has a shoddy record at best. Approx. 38 (i dont have the newspaper with me at work) fatalities since 1999.

Create a trigger that ends the mission and group it to the man. Â You can then go back to the trigger and now the normal "east" "west" "civilian" will be replaced. Choose "group leader" and "not present" and your mission will end when he dies. This is provided he is in a group by himself or is the groups leader. Hope this helps.

wOw, thanks for all the help, the reason i didnt need to have a soldier popping the nades was because he wouldnt be seen doing it. the cam shows some soldiers mopping up and you hear the "sector clear, take it easy" voice then the cam pulls back and shows the helos approaching. thats when the smoke sould be in view. but i am still fine tuning it so things can change a little. Again, thanks for the help.

Hello all, I searched and find some ways to camcreate smoke or to have soldiers fire off smoke and call helos. But, What i need is in my outro to have smoke cans on the invisible H's that my evac helos will land on. I don't require a soldier to be seen popping them, i just need to have the smoke on the h's. I tried burying a camp fire, but the smoke looks too much like campfire smoke and not a smoke 'nade Any help can and will be appreciated. As Always

Thanks Bronski, I don't think thats what i am looking for (its has waaaaay to much techno babble and not a simple answer). and i also think that right here is the best place to get answers. People here are friendly and helpful (unlike ofpec) and they don't make fun of you here for not knowing the answer. OFPEC tend to be to techno babbly and they get upset if you critisize them in the least so i don't hang out there anymore.

Red, please tell me how to use the drop command, since this is for an outro i really want it to look as realistic as possible. Dirt, I am not sure thats what i need, i would like it if the smoke was already going as the cam pulls back and the LZ comes into view or to see a soldier pop the smoke himself (whichever looks better) Thanks for the speedy reply guys.
