Thanks Spinor, I think i can work with this, after all if i can get them to scroll across it shouldn't be much of a problem to adapt it to go up.

We might have to wait a while to get certain confirmation either way<span id='postcolor'> Yeah, it will be a while for confirmation. Just because it makes a big hole like a scud does not mean it was a scud. I heard that of the 5 missles fired last night 1 fell harmlessly into the desert and 2 were shot down by patriot 3's. But i am here at work and have not been able to follow up.

Hmmmm, is it even possible to do this?

Sarcasm and even Jokes often do not travel well over the internet. That said, i hope the civilian casualties will be minimal at best.

I am afraid we will never know the truth about the alleged WMD (unless of course he uses them) as the only ones who could have proved it with near 100% credibilty were the UN Inspectors. Anything thats found now will always be open to debate on it's validity.

Dunno if you have room for any more players but if you do go ahead and send the rules to: anskytim@yahoo.com Thanks

Denoir, The point i was trying to make in the iraq thread is that there are multiple threads that are bashing the US People not the Gov't. I am sure if i came on and started to bash based on ethnicity and race i would be banned quickly, This is pretty much the same thing, you lock a thread about the french citing "there is enough french bashing in the media" but then you let people call americans whatever they want. I am just asking for a fair deal. I am not trying to make trouble, i like this forum.
-
so then its "feel free to bash the US but dont dare bash anyone else or i will lock the topic"

Ok here ya go, but what i said still stands, this is NOT about OFP. "about wars, military conflicts and everything what pertinent to Army" Even if this forum section is called Offtopic, it is still part of Operation Flashpoint discussion board - and any topics that are completely unrelated to OFP can be closed or deleted. We see no reason why we should dedicate our bandwidth and hosting space to such discussions. Notice the part about "Completely unrelated to OFP"?

Unfortunately many Americans that indeed do not support Bush get caught in the crossfire. The rethorics is always very polarized. Those that are pro war will try by any means to show that their cause is righteous and just while those that are anti war are going to do their best to disprove that. So on one hand you have a image of "USA the Saviour of the World" and on the other hand is "USA the Great Satan". Don't take it personally and average the claims out to get an objective picture.<span id='postcolor'> Maybe i am slightly biased having been in Gulf War 1, it hurts me to see what is going on in my government. I only hope the next President decides to clean up the international mess this jerk is making. But i will give him credit for one thing and one thing only. He was right when he said the UN must step up i mean what does "Serious Consequences" mean anyway? that could be interpreted in many different ways and i think this is the major contributor to all the political strife and upheaval thats going on. They could have simply said "Or face another Attack" that would have been clean and simple. I fear the UN will soon become a non-entity as no one will take them seriously.

Great Job, i needed a hearty laugh today.

Back on Topic, I am afraid that propaganda will always be used in any conflict. It's an attempt to boost the morale of your troops win acceptance at the homefront and to demoralize the enemy. In '91 when i was in the gulf we had soldiers surrenduring to us all the time that carried leaflets the airforce dropped that showed pictures of iraqis sitting around a HUGE plate of fruit and LARGE pitchers of water while some friendly G.I.'s stood by. Everyone was smiling in the picture, we got a big laugh at that.

A political leader which gives a shit about his citizen`s thoughts. It`s the same with Australia. And Spain is also quite poor. From the western european countries it had a rough time after the Euro was introduced. The US government isolated itself from the rest of the world in the last months under Bush, Wolfowitz and the "hawks". Even with the "coalition of willing" the US government is isolated. But all this is kinda offtopic. With this topic I just wanted to point out the US propaganda and that it uses the same methods like the germans used in WW2 and like many other countries did before.<span id='postcolor'> Ok good point, I just hate it when people bunch me in with the jerks in Washington. Everytime i see his stupid "i am better than you, you don't know squat" smirk i want to smack it off. How much longer until 2004?
