Hey Guys, Im pleased to tell you that i am almost finished with a WW2 dynamic campaign and i should have it up on Sunday May 8th. But, There is a twist, Unlike any other WW2 game, you will not play as an allied soldier. You will be an officer in the German army.

My fav mission from the game was "Pegasus Bridge" and i really enjoyed playing a commando as well. One of the things i enjoyed about COD was the difference in each of the campaigns. The US campaign was your typical run and gun fps game. The commando campaign for the Brits was top notch and quite a nice change from the US one and the Russian camp. was so engrossing it left me with a lump in my throat. EDIT: In last months PC Gamer it was said that even though there are no plans for a German campaign, at the moment. It has a huge ally in none other than the company president and the debate to include one is still a hot topic at Infinity Ward.

I put together a pack of WW2 era music if anyone is interested, i can upload it to my ftp tonight. One thing about the gramophone, i have yet to see how i can turn up the volume on it. It plays at a very low level even with the .oggs i used in some WW2 OFP missions that played at a louder level. Anyone have any info on turning up the volume? I already have them at the highest settings from the options menu. Thanks

Last night i finally found a passenger liner, it was a real treat. Dark as an inkwell we crept up behind her slightly to her starboard side. A quick look at the ship recog manual confirmed her as a 22K+ monster. We set our torp to go off exactly 1 meter below her keel depth and fired away. The anticipation grew with each passing moment. Would the torp hit her and bounce off due to the steep angle or would she swim true? Sure enough the torp found it's mark and swam like a champ towards its target, it slips under her and them BOOM a tremendouse explosion lifts her out of the water and sets off a chain reaction of explosions an she slowly starts her descent into the water. A one shot kill. After, we cut our engines and slip alongside her and watch as she dies. This apparently really made her mad and she radios in our position and several moments later we are being engaged by aircraft and destoyers. A game of cat and mouse then ensues but its too late. A destoryer bears down on us and even though my crew valiantly tries to fire a torpedo into the destroyer she manages to make it directly over us and unleahes her depth charges which makes short work of my boat. The morale of the story is: When in the channel and you have just sunk a mighty behemoth don't hang around to gloat about it.

I am looking forward to battling in North Africa.

The best thing about games is they don't go anywhere. Get your arm healed up, the games will be waiting for you.

I have always thought that OFP is the perfect platform for a unique ww2 experience. All WW2 games (although some are quite fun) and very linear and tunneled. The OFP engine as we all know is open ended, this is perfect for WW2 as it allows you to not only get down and dirty but also makes it so that fighting on a larger scale is actually happened and not just implied or scripted in via a cutscene. Also, the overall "oldish" look to the islands just adds to the level of imersion. I look forward to FDF making this as it is a theatre yet to be done and its being done by a top notch group.

Jap Think about what your going to want to do, Daddl is right in saying if you want to stay close to your base or in the North Atlantic then keep the VII but if you want to do ocean crossings you would be better off in a IX. But thats just our opinion. Good Hunting

I love FS2004, its not a combat flight sim but i have enjoyed hours of leisurely flying about. Whenever my kid bothers me when im playing i turn to her and say: "Passengers are not allowed in the cockpit area. Please return to your assigned seat at once" Which is usually followed by a reply of "Whatever" as she leaves.

The only highlight of this "mix up history with hell lot of fiction and bull" film was when they blew John Bon Jovi off the turret  Haven´t got much time for SH3 atm, but weekend is near ! Yippie ! Anblasen ! Did you know that the U in U-571 stands for "Unrealistic" what a piece of crap movie, that and Enemy at the Gates were 2 major disappointments.

Score one for the good guys, i would like to see the end result of all this. Kinda scary to think that these things happen fairly regularly.

You can set the speech to German if you like without any mods. It wont be the Das Boot actors but its still German.

Whatever you do stay away from 2nd Flotilla, they start at Lorient and thats a bitch of a port to get out of. You will be stuck at x1 compression because of 2 areas which stick out. I started a new campaign in '41 with the 29th Flotilla in the Med. Theatre. You don't have very far to go to find ships and there seems to be an abudance of them about. I sunk 8 ships all in the same area and have yet to touch any of my torps.

Well, im hoping i wont have time either but who knows. BTW i dig the Gene avatar Bals.

Honcho, Before i upload the images to my ftp you should check out Walagata its a free image hosting service. I have used them and still use them when i cant be bothered to upload to my ftp. There are no annoying popups to deal with as well.

I started in '39 and am at 50% realism.
