Definitely yes. I tried also with Javelin and other AT's and the missiles didn't even scratch the paint of the tanks. When I retried without ACE it worked perfectly ok with the mines, satchels and the AT's. I had the same issue with satchels on the Tunguska on Potatomasher's Dogs of War campaign though AT's were affective against it. However, I don't think it's a scripting\mission making issue but rather of an ACE bug.

Some more photos from our last coop tonight. Thanks to all who participated!

Oh yes that's indeed the crazy Norwegian. He is so handsome, I couldn't stop snapshoting him... :p

Thanks to all who joined to tonight's game! Here are some screenshots from the last mission:

Hi Zeep. We mostly play coop. PvP is a rather rare game type to be played on CiA.

How many of you old OFP Veterans are still playing BIS games?
Variable replied to nettrucker's topic in BOHEMIA INTERACTIVE - GENERAL
Still playing OFP online on CiA server, twice a week! We play WGL and Finmod, if interested, check my signature for more details. -
I do use ACE2. However, I don't think a Tunguska should sustain 10 satchels unless ACE2 or ArmA2 are bugged. It's not even a tank, it should be very lightly armored and 10 satchels should penetrate also a T-90 armor.

I detonated 10 satchels that were placed right along side of the Tunguska and it remained intact. At one point it seemed burning and smoking but was still functioning. It might be arma's fault but there must be some bug there. When I retried, one RPG 7 was enough hehe.

Thanks for the campaign! Much appreciated. Do you think it will run properly with ACE2?

Campaign 2 Seal Team Six release!! (SP)
Variable replied to sick1's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - USER MISSIONS
hmmm seems like the last ace update rendered the campaign un-playable, missing ace_something (magazines or weapons). Too bad I was on the last mission! Do you have any idea about that Sick1? -
If its updated before this morning then the trigger is still faulty because I downloaded the mission today and used the filefront link... I'll re-download it now and try again. thanks

Thanks for the missions Jelliez! Just played Ep.1 and liked it, I have one problem though:

Also when he is laying wounded on an open fire field, bullets spray around him and it is clear to you (the leader) that sending the medic would surely get him killed as well?

A.C.E. Advanced Combat Environment - Public Beta *2*!
Variable replied to sickboy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
First, let me just say thanks for this great modification. For me it finally made the game playable. One suggestion though: Currently in ArmA2 vanilla and ACE2, a soldier can aim up to 90 degrees upwards while being prone. This whole angle range suffers from no decrease in accuracy. In real - life, the prone position do not allow humans to aim a rifle more than 20-25 degrees upwards. It may sound insignificant, but it removes one of the most crucial motivation to achieve a higher, controlling point over your enemy. In real life, the higher unit will be able to aim accurately while being prone and use the ground to stabilize its weapon. Since while being prone, humans can not aim a weapon more than 20-25 degrees upwards. the controlled unit will not be able to do the same thing- because it must aim to much higher elevation- it will have to crouch or stand up in order to aim properly and thus sometimes reveal itself or get out from low, hard cover like rocks etc.. Without such effect, it's not really needed to gain an altitude advantage in the game- which is one of the main tactical advantages in real - life. Adding such effect will make it much more important to attack from an elevated position and to avoid moving in low grounds (appart from the advantages of convinient visibility and increased view distance). Hence, I think that the weapon should shake much more when crossing the 15-20 elevation degrees and aiming elevation should be limited to 20 while in the prone position. What do you guys think? -
No problems, I just found a workaround: Thanks for the mission!

Good mission Manzilla, thanks for it. I have one problem though: Any advice?

Take your time, no rush. Although we wait eagerly to TC2, we want you to be pleased with the results. Thanks for the update! -
Amazing!

Nice trailer Gaia. What made you change the Commanche with an Apache Longbow? I have to say I am a bit dissapointed about that...

Just managed to overcome crashing to desktop I experienced ever since I installed the game, maybe this will help some of you guys. Before I got the fix it, I tried disabling PhysX but it didn't help. When I looked for some more GFX settings on the Nvidia control panel I stumbled upon this (note the bottom part): It's rather dissapointing to find out that GTX275 compatability to ArmA2 is only "Fair", and nothing is mentioned there about preventing CTD's, but I tried to do as reccomended there and disabled the "Advanced Shadow Detail" and lowered the "Post Process effect" to Low (In-game advanced video settings). The result was no crashes at all! Well, the game doesn't look as good as it was before but at least I didn't have a single crash since :bounce3: This is my complete spec list: Intel® Core™ i7 Processor i7-950 + Motherboard DX58SO 3x2GB Corsair XMS3 Triple Channel WD 1TB IntelliPower, 32MB, SATA II WD10EADS Asus GTX 275 896MB GDDR3 DX10 HDTV 2xDVI PCI-E One more tip: During my crashing period I also had wierd graphical artifacts sometimes. That caused me to suspected the GFX card rather high temperatures (it used to get up to 75+ degrees Celcius). I managed to fix that using Rivatuner tweaking software and following this excellent . It didn't solve the CTD's but it lowered the card's max temperature to only 65 degrees! Highly reccomended.
