Im having a problem where there is severe lag in the game menus but not in game especially in the mission editor placing units can take forever, also the game will suddenly freeze and stop responding anyone know what this could be. I v'e tried the maxmem command but this has no effect. My specs: Windows Vista 32 premium Processor: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU E6750 @ 2.66GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.7GHz Memory: 2046MB RAM Hard Drive: 250 GB Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX -

Another cool thing would be when helicopters crash there should be a cloud of dust followed by the model changing to a destroyed version like the uh60 model in the objects part of the editor, joint operations had a realistic result by using a similar method.

If you turn terrain quality too low it gets rid of the grass but im not sure how that works with multiplayer

I have just reinstalled ofp  having not played it for years and for some reason half the player models don't show up It's like this for all player models, its original ofp unpatched. Can anyone help?

Oh it was running in Direct 3d hw t&l instead of just regular Direct 3d i have no idea why though

One problem with the aliens addon, the mg gunner wont fire he just stands there but other than that it's great.

@ [CS]SOBR[1st-I-R] Well i like the m14 with the aimpoint setup from Black Hawk Down and also like the sas motto : Who Dares Wins. I guess its sort of confusing, i'll change it  Anyway i want performace and bug fixes but since i cant pick both: a couple minor bug fixes because it runs ok on my computer.

how do you install custom character models?

1st of all you need winrar, search it in google and it will pop up, download and install it. Now download the addon file and save to your addons folder (C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\AddOns) Right click on it and there should be the option to extract here, click on it and it should extract the pbo file, then open the game and your addon should be in the editor. -

I think the reason the uniforms are wrong is because BIS started working on VBS 2 first, so what they did is take the beta of VBS 2 gave it a new name (Armed Assault) added a suitable price tag and retextured a bunch of stuff. So the infanty in game are marines retextured to look like army, and the harrier even says marines on the side. So when everyone starts bitching about how there is no 3d editor and no weapon recoil animations BIS can take this information and add it to VBS. Pretty damn smart if you ask me

The Black Hawk Down mod for ofp was looking pretty kick ass, if that was ported over it would be perfect. The somalia campaign was a mix of the two styles of fighting it was tactical but it also got very brutal and basic like WW2 in Operation: Irene

Well this is how i do it. 1. Download Winrar. 2.install it. 3.Download the desired Addon and save to C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\AddOns. 4.go into the addons folder and you should see the rar. file(looks like three books stacked ontop of eachother). 5.Right click on the rar. file and click on "extract here". 6.You should then see the pbo. file appear, and the installation is complete. 7.Run the game, open the editor and you should your addons. ps. sometimes multiple addons are extracted and grouped into a seperate folder, open this and place the pbo.files along with all the other ones. Hope this helps mate

Vilas that is sweet, seriously that camo works incredibly well even though its not the official pattern, and the m41a looks real nice, lets hope to see some advancment when the tools come out good job. Ps anybody thinking about a starship troopers mod
