@thunderbird - Some other members have already asked and have not received an answer so...Is there any easy way to put back the crosshairs? I know not having them is more realistic, but I do like to play in third person and use the crosshairs sometimes. Besides if people really don't want the crosshairs they can disable them in the option menu.

The B-1 is pretty loud, but i think the f-22 might be louder....on second thought idk.

I agree with Shashman. I used to visit here all the time, but the old crowd seems to have left and all the posts seem to be complaining about ARMA. Stuff like what happened on the last page with brataccas is not helping anything. Everyone is waiting for mods, but I hope all of the experienced modders from ofp arn't run off by the time the SDK comes out. Just my 2 cents, probably will get a pr for this.

No, I think this is a pretty good one to work at. By the time you get it working you will understand scripting much better. Sorry I cannot help you right now, but I have to go. I am sure there are plenty of people on here that will help you. I suggest saving all you scripts in a folder to reuse. GTG

if you want to rig your own mine you can with a simple trigger. put a gamelogic, or car or what ever you want to explode, and name it bomb. then make a trigger with a radius of whatever you want. The radius is how close the unit has to get to the gamelogic/other to trigger the explosion. Set it to East present (or whatever side you want it to effect). Hello all, I know that issues with a game bought from metaboli should be taken to them, but they have failed to help me in any way. I bought the german version of AMRA from metaboli and it worked fine with the 1.02 patch. I am getting used to the flight model, but I just want a cursor on screen. It is kind of difficult to see what I am doing with mouse if I dont have some sort of aimer. They should have an option to turn the cursor on.

Hey I love this mod. Having a slight problem though. The default rifle for the east, ak-74 I think, is missing its sound. The jam version has its sound, but not the basic unit under men. What is the best way to fix this?

It is not like you invested hundreds of dollars in the game...If you don't like to campaign then play something else. Like the other users said the editor and the mp are the best aspects of the game. If you want another campaign then download a user made one or make your own. Next time you buy something look behind all the shinny stuff they try to pull you in with...

Should it? yes. Will it? maybe. ARMA like ofp is different on every computer, but yes it should be fine on your computer.

Ok I have the morphicon version of ARMA. I have had no problems with it before. I uninstalled, reinstalled, then patched to 1.05. I put in my activation key and it gives me this error - I press ok and it closes the activation window, and no arma. Dose anyone know what could be causing this. I doesn't matter what code I put in it still gives me this error.

I am not sure about how to do that. Should I just go to the metaboli site and go to the generic customer support. I am sure it has something to do with the registry.

If a mod locks your topic you probably shouldn't start another. The only way to use a mod online if the server does not have it is with a replacement mod that swaps out models. You might get kicked for it depending on the server.

The only think that will work is a custom face. Just put a face in your Arma profile in MyDocuments and it should appear in your menu in game. A skin will only work if everyone on the server has the addon with the skin in it.

The days of global war are over. There will be no world war 3, that is assuming that something crazy doesn't happen and send our ass back to the stone age. Future conflicts will be between smaller states such as the conflicts in africa. I am seeing Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Somalia having a bunch more trouble with extremist groups trying to take over Somalia's weak government. There will be much more fighting with terrorist groups in all the usual places. Much more in Africa. You won't see any major country vs country battles because the global economy has everyone tied together. Ofcourse if you listen to the hippies dooms day via global warming will turn us into something like the movie water world. I wanna be a smoker personally. They got those cool jetski things.

I am an American, and just as others have said there is a mix of all sorts of people. People like to bash America because many Americans don't seem to know anything outside of America. Look at it from the perspective of an American though. We are geographically isolated from many other countries, we live in a large country to begin with, and we live fairly well. Many Americans don't know were other countries are located because this is not something they deal with in their daily lives. Living here you wouldn't know we were at war if you didn't read the news. Many people from other countries seem to have a grudge against America. I think this is mainly due to ignorance. They are content to bash America because we are an easy target. For example I remember watching a show in school about what other countries thought of us. Many of the people who hated American knew very little about us. They criticized us for the large number of people who were considered to be in poverty and said we couldn't take care of our own people. She failed to realize that poverty in America is much different than is some countries. People who are impoverished in America have air conditioning, color tv, and are far from starving. What I am trying to say is that you sometimes have to view a subject from someone else's point of view, because you might be making judgements based on what is right for your society and culture. I just really hate when everyone starts ganging up on American when they really don't have a clue what they are talking about. There is a lot of stupidity in this world, makes it easy to see why there is so much violence... I continue to visit these forums because for the most part the people here are mature, and the discussion here is fairly intelligent.

I hate steam. It really makes me mad that I can't play a game I paid for unless I am connected to the internet. My school is behind a restrictive firewall so steam and other programs dont work. I can't play HL2 at all because of this. What is so bad about hard copies? You have them forever and you can reinstall however many times you want.

I don't know that by having to fight to control the aircraft makes it more fun. Personally I would much rather have the old flight model. Then current model might be better with a gigantic view distance, but most people will find it frustrating to make turns so big you lose almost lose sight of the target. Just my opinion though.
